Happy SF everyone. NOAR
ReplyDeleteAt least we still have Sexy Friday! Thanks moeman!
ReplyDeleteI made a deal with the devil today. Our office lotto pool administrator advised that he picked one set of numbers based on my boss' advice...using numbers of former Bruins players. I said if we win the big one with the broon numbers, I would buy a broon jersey and wear it to work during every game they play against the Habs next season. I was quickly called out by said Bruin fan, asking whether I would be at work if we won big. Clever for a Bruin fan.
Great SF as always moeman!
ReplyDeleteThis is for juce: From Chez Serge to Chez Subban
Cool.
DeleteAngels, bicycles, and Raquel. It adds up to another in Trump terms Tremendous, beautiful, best ever SF.
ReplyDeleteI will weigh in on the PFK. He was useless to us. He was putting himself on a very high pedestal, maybe deserved maybe not. Fact is that he is not the number one D man, and he is now playing the game even eMTy wanted. Like Kessel he is now on a team where he does not have to be the guy, and he has CHanged his game due to the tramu.
ReplyDeleteGoogle trnaslated, but read the article.
DeleteSo we do not have the impression, looking at the distribution of tasks in the first match, that the Blues consider Subban a second pair defender, quite the contrary. This tactical choice reflects the one we saw in the first round, while Joel Quenneville sought to oppose Patrick Kane to Roman Josi and Jonathan Toews to Subban. It begins to make quite a lot of people ...

I don't want to start off with a negative so first I'll say thanks to moeman for some nice SF images. Always, always appreciate his work.
ReplyDeleteSecond, the Habs have signed some junior free agent kid who can score goals apparently. Plan the parade Marc, you are on the ball.
Third, I'll disagree with Steve re: PFK. Shea Weber is a damn good defenceman but the Habs will regret this trade just like the Chelios, Desjardins and McDonough trades.
BTW, I am suspicious of Bergevin saying he will not trade Price. He's fully capable of it.
That is a wise concern...BBB lies

Deletenick Alive or dorm for dormuer
It’s hard to get offensive players. You can’t just trade for a Forsberg or a Johansen.
ReplyDeleteOh wait.
Fucking haters. Imagine having to put up with this crap all your career?
ReplyDeletehttp://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/04/mike-milbury-calls-p-k-subban-a-clown-says-peter-laviolette-ought-to-give-him-a-rap-on-the-head
Subban is a delight to watch on the ice and charismatic off it. He’s exactly what hockey needs more of, but the hockey establishment, comprised of old, white dudes, won’t rest until they’ve snuffed out every bit of individuality left in the league.
DeleteIt's these attitudes, which were deeply ingrained within the Canadiens organization, the exact reason why he is no longer here.
DeleteIf that's the way the league wants to keep on going, so be it. But maybe they should ask the fans that fill the arena at 501 Broadway, the ones that sold out every game for the first time this year, if P.K. Subban helps or hurts their decision to come to a game.
Deletehttp://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/nhl/predators/2017/04/29/pk-subban-called-clown-nbc-mike-milbury-dancing-warmups-predators-blues-series/101060344/
I am so fed up of the way PFK is constantly treated by the good ole white boys. Go fuck yourselves and shame on you all.
ReplyDeleteSome of these types will never get over their bias(es).
DeleteSomeone mentioned that he should check out Brent Burns' pre-game fun and comment on that.
How about Roenick?

And nobody puts down Burns over his wardrobe either, when he gets all decked out they love it.

ReplyDeleteKeep doing what you're doing PK, fuck "the Man".
Anybody want to bet that the Dumpster Diver will be offering Price and Galchenyuk in a package to get either Monahan or Bennett out of Calgary? Watch out.
Read where DGMB might need a true hockey President above him.
DeleteCan't see him trading TFS™ and/or gCHuk combined but I think he, DGMB, only has a year left unless the Habs make the ECF.
Got the game in the background, NYR has started to hit like they did vs. the Habs as of game 2. snet is homering the turds big time.
Too fucking weird, snet just keeps slagging the Habs. Non stop.
DeleteThe DD can have somebody above him but he will still make the deals, unless the new prez vetoes it I guess.
DeleteMontreal will never win with this so-called "core", they aren't good enough. All they are doing is spinning their wheels.
The only hockey I'm watching now are the Sea Dogs but I see on tsn's website the Turds have managed to put 5 past King Lunkhead, imagine that! Actual goals! I'm astonished! I guess he figured once he eliminated the Habs his work was done.
I should clarify my "core" comment... I'm guessing that's why the DD will trade some of his "core" to shake things up. They desperately need scoring so an elite goalie does nothing for them. They can lose in the first round with Lindgren or maybe Fleury. I don't think this team will be intact come September. Maybe not even July.
DeleteI doubt TFS™ gets moved. gCHuck and/or N8 and/or PatCHes might be packaged.
DeleteHabs 11 goals scored in 6 games. Sens have 5 (so far) in this one. BBB can you see the difference? Maybe BBB figures out he already Waked up, so we're good.
ReplyDeleteOh and Milbury can burn in hell, all the while getting beat by that fan with a shoe. Too far? Nah.
milbury was very darren pangish. His white media brethren will protect him.
DeleteIMHO patCHes, gCHuck and N8 are not core material. Good as aux equipment but not going to break through the playoff brick wall. Tyler Sequin one in the same. PKF not one of the above
ReplyDeletebtw blogger has found a way to limit my comments, having to sign in everytime I want to say something. Sergy has his eye on me
mclame asks pageau two questions and both times had to preface his questions by slagging the Habs.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom always told me that there is never a reason to hate. She was right but there are people that are truly disgusting, some extremely sneaky at being so. mclame is truly disgusting. What a fucking piece of shit.
ReplyDeleteYou just know, deep down, that the SFU are hating OTT and EDM winning their games. Yet they just keep finding ways to slag the Habs.
ReplyDeleteWow. Does fuckface bettman's draft looked rigged or what? Same a last year, pre-determined winner and losers.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is fucked up. Meh, it's just the nhl trying to save another of their lame-ass franchises that nobody gives a fuck about. Hey! Maybe Bergy will climb out of the dumpster and try to get a quality piece instead instead of all the broken crap he's been accumulating.
DeletePacioretty, N8, Galchenyuk and #23 pick for the #1 pick. Start the rebuild.

The Man is not going to be happy on Monday. I have almost finished binge watching OITNB season 5. Not a bad season at that.
ReplyDeletePart of me wants the turds to win because it would just rub the diaper in our face that we have shit our pants. Part of me want the turds to win because it will make Buttman carry a log around for the rest of the playoffs. Part of me wants the Rags to go to the finals cause it would indicate the glass is half full.
I am watching the final season of Falling Skies. It started out really well, the first two seasons were outstanding I thought but it kinda went off the rails in season 4. Still, I have to see how it ends. Next is either The Expanse or The 100. Recommendations?
DeleteI liked Falling Skies, and agree it went off the rails. The Expanse is a great playoff player and The 100 a series that gets you to the playoffs. If you have not watched Into the Badlands as a Martial arts guy it cant be missed.
DeleteLooks like PFK is making a MVP run.
I don't recall if I finished Falling Skies. Same, I liked the first couple of seasons for sure. I have to just start watching an entire series at a time, because I can't remember what happened in a previous season of a series when it's time to watch the next if I need to wait a year or so.
DeleteFirst season of the Expanse was great. I'll watch the 2nd soon.
Into the Badlands. I really enjoy it - you need to take the special effects/fighting with a grain of salt, they're a bit of an Ang Lee style. You need to be able to suspend reality, especially as a martial arts guy. But it's an incredible storyline in which there are no guns in the not so distant (I think) future.
And the new Star Trek series keeps getting pushed back, dammit. Might be another year before we see Sasha. My wife isn't a trekkie, but she is a big Jason Isaacs fan, so she might even tune into this one.
I saw Season 1 of Into the Badlands, I liked it fine and am recording Season 2. Also recording Better Call Saul. Only one episode of Billions left, it is a great show, love it.
DeletePFK is going to make Marc Bergevin look like a fool. But that's not hard.
I know I've been dumping on MB a lot lately. I thought he might be able to return the Habs to some semblance of respectability and in a way maybe he has but it seems they have been spinning their wheels for 5 years. Maybe a 5 year plan takes 10 years to execute. We'll see if Molson let's MB finish the job. I doubt it.
BCS S3 is great so far, so is Fargo S3.
DeleteDGMB's 5 year plan must have been creating the new CHL - Character hockey league. I read the CHL thing somewhere Wilde liked to say the Habs were not an ice-bag team and that changed after the new 'big guys' were acquired. Where'd that get them? Now they have no speed, no offence and no scoring and a less mobile, aging D. TFS is still 'the plan'. Damn right he'll write his own cheque and DGMB must be saying his prayers each and every night that he'll take a discount.
DeleteOn Reddit he gave his tacit approval to the Ferengi inspired TPP. So you have to wonder how a famous internet lawyer would opine given the chance to support an internet fast lane for Canada? ReplyDeleteInterestingly, I read on the weekend that a 33 year old David Poile (yes the same one that traded for PK) was also responsible for stealing away Rod Langway for the Capitals in 1982. Ironically, he stole Langway, along with Jarvis and Engblom (and another name i forget) for Ryan Walter and Rick Green, away from noted crook Irving Grundman. Difference being that Langway wanted out, which I wasn't aware of at the time as a 13 year old and big fan of his. Needless to say, after passing on Denis Savard and then making that trade, Grundman didn't last long. Pierre Lacroix and David Poile - kryptonite to Habs GMs.
ReplyDeleteAnd nothing against Ryan Walter and Rick Green. They were an instrumental part of that mid-80's team, just not real sexy like a 2-time to be Norris Trophy winner that they were traded for.
DeleteI had no problem with the Langway trade at the time, Ryan Walter was a 1st overall pick I believe and Rick Green was a high 1st rounder as well. As a matter of fact Walter was a #1 center for the Caps, so Grundman did what Bozo the GM is incapable of. The other player the Habs dealt was Craig Laughlin, a servicable winger who did OK. Those two helped the Habs to an unexpected Cup in '86 and played big roles too.
DeleteYou have been shattenkirked ™
ReplyDeleteBTW great save by PFK.

There's been some buzz about this, but I can confirm that Michel Therrien is among candidates interviewing for Florida Panthers coaching job
whew, Engles reported we are out of the Shipwreck race, now I know he is full of it
DeleteI damn near choked on my coffee.
ReplyDelete“We’re looking for a guy that’s a good communicator, is a good teacher, a modern guy, a contemporary-type guy that can deal with these millenials and Generation Z, whatever that means. That’s what we’re looking for, somebody that has a little experience, but who also is very knowledgeable about how to deal with young players because we have a young core,” Tallon told Sportsnet at the NHL Draft Lottery.

we could use a coach like that with gCHuck
DeleteToo fucking funny!
DeleteImagine that moron ruining Huberdeau.
I assume this is a joke. eMTy is the antithesis of this statement.
DeleteUnless the Cats are preparing for a move to Quebec City? Hmmm?
I like your thinking St Pad. Explaining the unexplainable. A Druid for Aaron Ecblad trade would confirm it.
DeleteSo unless Dale Talon smokes more dope than Steve, with his description of what he is looking for he is ruling out the possibility of ever hiring MT.
DeleteThe Druid is in the wind. The Druid is in the wind. I would trade anyone but CHevy or TFS for him.
ReplyDeleteSwap him for gCHuk. Couple of #3 overall picks. Each underachieving. What the hell. Except Blob says stevie would likely want a top pairing dman...for a guy that's done nothing, except quit on his team because he didn't like the ice time he was getting.
DeleteAny of you Sci Fi guys watch Dark Matter? If so, is it worth checking out? I might give the pilot a shot tonight.
ReplyDeletenever heard of it until you mentioned it. looks good, I will wait for season two to end.
DeleteWashington finding a way to win a la Bobby Clarke
We got a brand new KHL D man named J J something. Looks to be a sure thing, better than the leaf KHL D man. So since he will be replacing N8, call him J8? of Dyno for Dynomite.
ReplyDeleteBozo the GM hasn't finished running this franchise into the ground yet. But he's workin' on it.
DeleteGet well Sid.
ReplyDeleteNot good at all. Wishing him all the best.
DeleteGet well Sid but get well the NHL. SSR took a clear crosscheck to the head no call no suspension. Sid got nailed in a hockey play and the Opera is crying.

ReplyDeleteMB's analytics tell him otherwise.
DeletePFK was never going to work here. He needed and attitude adjustment that was not part of the culture of Le Club Du Hockey Montreal. Add him in to Chelios, Roy and numerous others that did not measure up. We would rather lose than have such talent on our team. Its not right
Deleteits not wrong its just the way the guy who has the gold makes the rules.
