Great The Fabulous Thunderbirds Ottawa Bluesfest concert last night. Jimmy Vaughn did a 12 minute harmonica solo. Very tight unit. Incredible musicians. Lots of fun. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on Sunday. (speaking of heartbreakers, too many in the crowd last night).
My highlight this week...went to the Pink Floyd exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. If you are a fan of the Floyd - this is worth the trip to London! An amazing experience that evolves from space to space. I just cranked the headset up to 11 and walked around it for a couple of hours. Amazing!
All the toys . . . pigs, schoolteacher, airplanes, bricks, toasters, guitars, lasers, ...an awesome experience! Only ever saw Floyd live once - 1994 in tranna...BEST CONCERT EVER!
Was sitting on the floor at center ice at the Forum in 73 for the Dark Side of the Moon tour. They were the first band to figure out the sound in that place. They had four speaker banks at the top of the reds on the four sides as well as on stage and the sound just swirled. Fucking amazing. Also saw them at the autostade and olympic stade. But that one at the Forum was hard to beat. Go Habs
Fucking Crosby making my life hell again. I don't want you or your damned cup clogging up my streets. Looks like another holiday weekend at the cottage for me.
