Not much to say these days other than great looking thread. Love all the Ranger references although I'm not sure who the bow and arrow guy is. OK, carry on then. The trade deadline countdown continues...
Crappy to lose the gold medal in a shootout, but dem's da rules. Watched that game quickly this morning. First period was looking like Salt Lake all over again, but in the end there were bad calls and non calls both ways and a terrible line change made the difference. Silver is nothing to be ashamed of.
MEDICAL UPDATE: Defenseman Shea Weber will undergo surgery to repair a tear in a tendon in his left foot and will miss the remainder of the 2017-18 season.
Imagine if they hadn't misdiagnosed this in the first place? Imagine if he got put on a 15-day DL for rest before exacerbating it (assuming playing on it made it worse)? All the best to Shea meanwhile, and may his surgery be a roaring success so that he comes back to the ice in top form...someday.
I don't believe he sustained the injury when they claim that he did at all. I believe they just say that so the PFK trade doesn't show BBB to seem as incompetent as he really is. And yes, never good to see a player injured and I wish him all the best.
The news about BBQ is disappointing. Not only for him, and I wish him well of course, but for the team management in general. Too familiar to see a player injured and not taken care of properly, only to see the problem get compounded by pretending it isn't there.
TFS went through the same pressure to return two seasons ago, and this season too, I suspect. This training team needs to be held to account. The players are uncommonly injury-prone, and their injuries are poorly assessed almost every time. This smells bad.
Hire me, you want crazy. I got wharehouse full of crazy. Even the Chinese God of war said I can defeat any enemy except crazy. Load up on crazy and your going to win. Now I am not saying I am the God of Crazy, but I think I got enough to win us the cup.
@Saint Paddy, that idea about Patrick has merit. If Molson would hire him in some capacity, it may finally lift the curse. There's no other reason for the Habs to be inflicted with the likes of bergevin who has single handedly destroyed a once promising team.
I blame God, he or she or some forum of the alphabet hates us. Now that does not explain the 24 cups but lets be serious most of those came from a WWF competition were we refused to lose.
Most of the ten commandments I have in my memory are nonsense for example thou shall not covet your neighbors wife well how many of us know our neighbors wife and if we wanted her she would be on tinder, thats Gods will
I know bbb lies but I think you are not allowed to lie about a concussion. Because they have said it was a concussion protocol must be followed...er...nhl protocol at least...
"I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining, because I’m not, but it just seems like everything that could’ve gone wrong this year has,” said Julien. “But one thing I can tell you about this year is I know that in the future it’s going to pay off because our guys will be stronger for it. I guess they’ll have gone through the battle of going through adversity, and hopefully it’s going to make us stronger in the long run. We’ve just got to stay the course right now. I don’t want our guys putting their arms down and giving up. I want them to continue to compete every game and to try to win every game. That’s how we’re going to get better.”
It's amazing, they say the exact same thing, year after year. After every failure, either not making the playoffs or early elimination, this same thing is repeated almost verbatim. It must have been in chokula's infamous notebook and it's been passed on to eMTy and Clod.

ReplyDeleteThat's Aragorn, Ranger of the North, from Lord of the Rings. And Viggo Mortensen...a Hab fan (though I'm not sure he admits to that anymore).

Now showing in theatres, Marc Bergevin in...Juul of Denial.
ReplyDeletePlease don't wreck another decent prospect.
How can you 'shut down' a player when he hasn't played since the first shut-down?

ReplyDeleteIt took long for a diagnosis?
They should have brought in Dr Riechi in September and Dr Bombay in Oct. UNBELIEVABLE, bleed him, bleed out the bad spirits.
DeleteI really don't believe that he injured his foot in the beginning of the season. I really don't believe anything that comes from this management.

There's been a black cloud hanging over the Bell Center since 1995.
ReplyDeleteHire Roy and lock Trembley in the trunk of Brisebois' car and the world will start to right itself.

Price out with a concussion indefinitely. I doubt it, but this is a good move to protect him from humiliation as the tank rolls on.
