And head west
It's hammer time
So lie back and relax
Now keep on rockin'
It's OK Carey, it's not a noose
Blue oily boobs!
Hey neighbours we can be different and still be friends.
Hey Alberta teams, sorry you Lost this week (prophetically speaking)
What a fucking great game thread. A little cheesecake, a little muscle, a little pussy and a cheap shot at the SFU and their blue and white and black and gold blow job recipients.
ReplyDeleteThese games are on too late for me, I may pvr them and watch the next morning if I don't have to do something else.
Giddyup!
The defence, yeah about that. Schlomo, Wrong Benn and Alzzzzsnore... are there 3 worse D in the league on one team. Holy fuck, you can't hide all those guys. Bring back Jewel and maybe bring up on of those Czhecks they signed last summer.
ReplyDeleteNoice!
ReplyDeleteBack in the saddle and ready for tonight's game!
ReplyDeleteGYFHG!!!
I see what you did there young lady.
Delete😊
DeleteNo western games for me...just fucking win.
ReplyDeleteI almost never make it passed the 2nd.
DeleteAunti Nemo starts in net. Jewel replaces zzzzzzzz... The odds for a win went up a touch.
ReplyDeleteGo Kings!
DeleteJamaican beef patties.
ReplyDeleteHam sammich & glass of bubbly.
DeleteMayo?
DeleteMustard?
Tickle your nose?
Just mayo and lettuce, might have to alleviate the nose tickle with some Amaretto.
DeleteOoh.
DeleteWho's gonna answer the bell if Lucic gets Lucicky?
ReplyDeleteFiver.
DeleteWOw St Paddy I hope the Habs bring as much energy to the game tonite.
ReplyDeleteHave you heard about this Nylander guy, selfish hockey player. I am in the belly of the beast and its really entertaining. I have sold 3 of my patented Dumbass leaf vapours this week.
And SIM pretzel lucic has 2 goals in 60 games and if they made a team that was the oppostite of the Golden Showers he would be captian.
Buttman is in the hall of fame, Willie O'Ree more deservedly so. Many femmes with even strong provence have been honoured. None of them tops Paul Henderson, Paul Henderson is not in the Hockey Hall of Fame and thats just bullshit.
Go You Fucking Habs Go, God give Leko a fucking goal FFS.
https://www.saq.com/page/en/saqcom/canadian-whisky/alumni-whisky-series-guy-lafleur/13909547
ReplyDeleteThat does not compute, apparently.
DeleteWill try to get through the first tonight.
ReplyDeleteI still say the Oil of Oy Vey is the best trading partner for the Habs. Couple good young dmen the Habs could use one of. Or just TFS for McSaviour straight up would be fine too.
Jesus Price for McSaviour? Interesting concept but not a chance.
DeleteThe Habs don't need a $10 million dollar goalie. They do need a $10 million dollar center. Price and Alzner for Malkin and Sprong. Done.
That trade offer was tongue in cheek, but I do think that if MB was ever going to move Price (before Seattle gets a team), western Canada would be the destination. Price for Draisaitl with other partsand maybe eating a couple million of Carey's salary...
DeleteAck.
ReplyDeleteA shitty, flukey goal and McSaviour is in on it. How many phantom assists did Gretzky get over the years I wonder?
ReplyDeleteA lot.
DeleteMinimax!!
ReplyDeleteImagine if he takes the NHL scoring lead. The SFU would have to squeeze out an article.
DeleteTie would get all the credit no doubt, just to prop up their fucking leaf content.
DeleteBonus is the #13 that Max wears because he grew up idolizing Sundin.
Delete1-1!
ReplyDeleteAck, thought it was a 1030 start. What'd I miss so far? Max with another, nice!
ReplyDeleteOil got a cheap goal.
DeletePing 2.
ReplyDeletehey! excellent intro moeman. really good points u brought up putting the season in perspective so far ... cause im still hung up hissing mad at the pts they've thrown away so far (that match vs the turds and the one recently vs buf and the ones vs the ny teams).
ReplyDeleteCredit goes to my blogging brother St. Pad.
DeleteFirst 'real' snow here today. A few inches. Now very cold. Looks like it'll stick around.
ReplyDeleteLots of snow an hour north of here. We got lots of rain. Could be an outdoor rink every where tomorrow.
DeleteRaining like hell here. 13 degrees overnight, but your cold front moves in tomorrow and it is supposed to be -7 with a windchill of -18 by the time we leave work. Fun.
DeleteMy favorite part of this year has been watching Kidko. Lots of other favs for a CHange as well.
ReplyDeleteHoly Kraut!
ReplyDeleteOuf.
ReplyDeletenice PP if you like pee
ReplyDeleteWhat a shit PP. Is there a urologist in the house?
ReplyDeleteSloppy period.
ReplyDeleteSloppy second?
DeleteUgh. Hope not, nothing worse.
oh... and on that intro still....
ReplyDeletethat bit about wrongbenn u guys are now seeing? why did u guys all ignore me when i pointed it out when they got eliminated in the playoffs? i think u guys were totally smoking the illegal weed by backing BBB for getting back a broken bbq, and trying to sell wrongbenn as a choice for dependability and defensive zone play over flashes of brilliance. i remember he was directly responsible for two of those losses in the elimination series by making jj daigneault like plays leading to gwg's.
anyways... with petry keeping up his best PFK impression, reiley continuing with his recent play, mete quietly developing into what n8 was supposed to be, and juulson becoming chelios 2.0, i think the d is actually pretty above average!
Agree, the D is shaping up.
DeleteWithout BBQ, PP could use Souray (this is in no way a call out to the wonderful Moey) . ; )
ReplyDeleteMoe! I was chatting with him on Instagram about three weeks ago. It made my day, lol!
DeleteI am like Kramer OUT
ReplyDeleteSSR!
ReplyDelete2-2
Hey Moey, how's Jackson?
ReplyDeleteThe best thing since sliced bread. *swoon*
DeleteOy.
DeleteAnother weak goal.
ReplyDeleteCash it before I hit the sack!
ReplyDeletehey...
ReplyDelete1.they picked up kassian from vancouver for higgins right?
2. and how did they ditch him to deadmonton?
3. and is there a way they can ditch whoever is next to use a lazy stick check instead of laying into an open-ice hit like PFK did?
It was Prust, not Higgins. But also got a 5th round pick...have you heard of Casey Staum? No?
DeleteTraded to Oil for Ben Srivezina, whom they waived after 15 games.
Talking about goal 2? Schlomo let up on McD where a good PFK hip would have ended that play at the blue line. So yeah. As I've said, first thing this team needs is help on D. Crazy to say, but Lb is severely missed on this team.
Team is missing LB.
ReplyDeleteOy.
ReplyDeleteSitting ouellett for Schlemslow...how'd that work out?
ReplyDeleteouellet how about sticking with food and make him omlet
DeleteDont worry be happy. LHN is back from the farm all toned.
ReplyDeleteNow thats a fight, Wright Ben last night
https://youtu.be/_vrepboiYPs
TFS better play against Vancouver or keep going west until he hits Hawaii for some Island Therapy.
This is a translation from what I understand is a less than Honorable website
ReplyDelete"Beyond statistics, we will undoubtedly remember his magnificent goal scored in the second period. Josh Brook carried the puck from one end of the ice to the other before deflowering the goalkeeper through a maneuver between his two legs."
Calgary is good, probably better than the Oil. Better D anyway. Let's hope the Habs can keep the GA to 5 or less this time.
ReplyDeleteHope TFS has cleared the cobwebs.
DeleteR.I.P. Roy Clark.
ReplyDeleteOne of my Dad's faves. Great guitarist.
RIP.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad used to say he could play every instrument except for the bagpipes.
Get your shit together Habs and JFW.
ReplyDeleteI see TFS under no pressure. Even on his worst game he is still better than the top 20 goalies in this league.
ReplyDeleteSaucy!
ReplyDeleteWatching TFS, standing up a bit more...
ReplyDeleteVery good 1st.
ReplyDeleteC'mon Carey! You got this! *sends special Moey karma*
ReplyDelete🤤
DeleteAck.
ReplyDelete23-10 SOGs in favour of CAL
ReplyDeleteYikes!
DeleteThe TSN bunch are showing a lot of Carey love.
DeleteWatching RDS, pretty much the same.
DeleteSo far a good game for him.
Zero D help. Zero.
ReplyDelete2-1 CAL
30th shot by CAL
ReplyDeleteHe needs help, can't wait for Shea to come back. I think he's his wingman so to speak.
DeleteAgree.
DeleteJB and Dish looked horrible on the 2nd CAL goal. They are the vets.
ReplyDelete32-17 SOGs
ReplyDeleteSo TSN1402 on Bell Fibe is a big Habs lovefest. So strange but me likey.
ReplyDeleteSSR in the CAL crease, surrounded by really big Flames.
ReplyDeleteDruid!
ReplyDelete2-2
Easy goal, lots of work done by Jewel on that play.
DeleteLEKO!!!
ReplyDeleteYes!!!!
ReplyDelete'Hang in there boys!' ~ 29
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice win.
ReplyDeleteTFS was great.
Sweet comeback.
Ditto moe, sweet dreams!
DeleteNice to have TFS back. RIP Roy. Knew him from Hee Haw - "Pickin' and Grinnin'" but saw a special on him a few years back - an amazing player.
ReplyDeleteWinning, good for TFS, Leko and the whole team.
ReplyDeleteGreat win! Carey! Carey! Carey!
ReplyDeleteYou know, if TFS has to save the day about every 5th start or so and the offence manages to win 2 or 3 of the other 4 at least, and the defence can be somewhat stabilized upon the return of BBQ, then even though not an orthodox method of going about things it could work for this team to make the playoffs and contend for a couple of rounds. But if they want to win #25, they're still missing a few key pieces. But then again the VGK didn't have a cup final team on paper either.
can't go far without a PP
Deletecan't go far without being able to win face-offs
can't go far letting in more goals than 90% of the league
can't say this team isn't exciting anyways
can't wait for LB and BBQ to get back (and GI Finn too!)
Winter (AKA Armageddon) has arrived in Halifax. Ahh, that first storm of the year when 80% of the population forgets how to drive in the snow. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteGchuck + Patches = 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points / combined -4
ReplyDeleteDomini + Sauce = 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points / combined +5
BBB will be insufferable but who cares.
Glad to see TFS roar. GYFHG
And Nick Suzuki with Owen Sound has 33 points in 20 games and is a +13.
DeleteAnd considering how much the VGK's suck this year, there could be a top five 2nd round pick too.
One of the bottom feeders have to be a good trading partner to help shore up the D. I'd love to get Pietrangelo from the Blues. He does have a 6.5M cap hit for one more season beyond this one, and nobody in their right mind would take Alzner back in a trade, so the numbers would probably be difficult to manage.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Alzner, nhlnumbers.com has a buyout calculator. If he is bought out after this season, he's on the books (cap-hit) for (and I'm rounding here) $1M in 2019, $4M in 2020, $2M in 2021 and $1M from 2022 to 2024.
I think it's well worth it if you can't find a Schmo to take him off your hands.
4hf'ers... i kinda like the multi-game threads u guys got going on this yr. im a little sad not to see sexy fridays regularly anymore, but considering the many man hrs this saves moeman, saint paddy, and kmaxxx, im down with it. besides... with these homestand/roadtrip threads, we get to follow the team on a larger marcro level. instead of always bitching at them to JFW, we can keep bigger things in mind in evaluating their overall play.
ReplyDeleteon that... the win vs the flamers last night wasnt much better than the loss vs the oilers. ignore all that corsi crap and just look at the most telling stat ever: SOG.
saint paddy @9:10
thats not an unorthodox way at all. i think that strategy is absolutely brilliant. it could totally work. ive always wanted something similar myself as well. my version just wants them to go 3-2-1 every six matches. i dont think 25 is a good number at all though. that only gives 50 pts (unless ure counting on them collecting a $#*!tonne of loser pts). i think they need about 45 (plus a handful of singles) to be in playoffs as a good team.
SIM @1:30
good list. really good list. u/f only really good teams have all of them. we had something like that until 'the trade'. now, all i want is to have #3 and #1 fixed. #4 is a bonus to have, but not essential so long as #4 and #1 are achieved.
TFS better bring it tm or else these canucks are gonna blast him and the entire team further west to hawaii like steve said @7:20. it drives me nuts when everybody in vcr suddenly becomes a hab fan and when they lose... everybody cant quickly enough take off their reds. any of u guys here? we meeting at the pint pre-match. msg me and ill get ya a beer (sorry geoff, we dont drink ure crap out here. we will watch it, but dont ask us to drink it.)
#25= Cup #25.
DeleteNo matter how excited folks get about this team being 'entertaining', anything less than Stanley Cup Champs is still a failure.
Sexy Sunday is coming ...
DeleteI think, or maybe desire is a better word that we offer sheet Nylander 7 for 7. We cant lose. Its a gamble that he is as valuable as PatCHes for seven of his years under 30. It will piss Dumbass off so much. It would make the COTU mental. Its a win win win win.
ReplyDeleteNew Mark Knopfler, quite good;
