I was out last night so watched the rags highlights...looked good. TFS appeared to play well. So long Nikita...we hardly knew ya...as always...just fucking win!..and NOAR!
ReplyDeleteAll 5 Habs goals were a thing of beauty!
DeleteBBQ can change a game all on his own.
Lb back changes the way the lines play/move.
Tataaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!
Completely agree on LB...when he got injured no one made a big deal about it...it bloody well was big! Let's see if b2b agrees with BBQ...
DeleteOne thing about Nikita: it doesn't do anything to dispel the rumours of CJv2 having prejudicial proclivities towards saying nyet-ski to the Ruskie. Is that an unspoken component to the Vodkov curiosity? The SergaCHev trade when we needed a D-man like that? The gCHuck trade. I don't really think so, but this latest inability to get a player to work out in the CH line-up plays right into such thinking, to be sure.
DeleteI think it might be a combo of CJv2 and dgmb but circumstances for every Ruskie are different. Radu and (Y) are other examples of buhbye. Hope Romanov works out as he looks like a pretty decent Dman.
DeleteThe waived Sherbert an L.A. King.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to him. He has skill but not sure if his head is screwed on straight. Hope L.A., the city, doesn't eat him up.
DeleteHis dismal showing in Laval probably is what signed his fate. Glad he isn't in our division to get his revenge.
DeleteHappy Hanukkah.
ReplyDeleteYeah! Here's to a Thousand points of Hanakkah lights for G. Herbie-Walker Bush! Adam Sandler has it covered.
DeleteI believe there definitely is an anti-Russian bias by jabba the hutt and the moron GM. It probably started with CHe trying to take him to the cleaners, Vodkov's big ask and gCHuk's party life. They even traded the Valiev kid they got for Pleky from the putrid leaf. Good luck to the Romanov youngster at getting a fair shake from those two.
ReplyDeleteWatching the Giants, they actually look half decent against a strong Bears defence.
Happy Hanukkah and its a special one for me. I just learned I have a half sister who is Jewish. Well not Jewish but half Jewish DNA. I have only been in contact with her over email and we will meet at Christmas. Of course being half Jewish she is a very successful person who has franchised her business across Canada.
ReplyDeleteYou have to use the Russkies like a weapon, useless at long range, deadly in the OZONE. Ovenchin plays a 50ft game, Mario Lemiux I was priglived enough to see him live once in a meaningless regular season game against Buffalo, he literally leaned on the board at the opposition blue line waiting for the play to come to offence. This idea that everyone must play 2oo ft is good for Tony Robbins but stupid for reality. If you look at the NBA and the NFL they coach to a players strength, not like the NHL where they coach to make a player who is strong, mistake proof.
Its like gCHuck, we do not have any player who can threaten with a one timer from the office on the PP, now that he is gone. So its like buying an I phone that can not play music.
I believe that is a Sauce specialty in fact, but I know of what you speak (the seeming need for every player to have the full Carbonneau-type tool-set, instead of coaching to the player's strength).
Deletesame line-up as last night, so CHud, Peca and X-man sit. TFS starting too. Sharks lost against the Sens last night but were still very much in it until the wheels fell off in the second half of period two. Long road trip, shitty weather, media distractions for that Karlsson feller coming back to Ottawa for the first time, and crappy stay-in-the-hotel-room weather (unless they slipped on the ice a la Jose Theodore with our freezing rain storm overnight). Can't believe him and Burns and Vlasic all don't destroy the competition nightly - especially with Jones in net. One wonders if we'll see their backup goalie tonight. Jones stopped only 16 of 21 shots in his last two periods in Kanata, while his teammates put 30 shots on Anderson.
ReplyDeleteThese Sharks are slow. Time to skate some circles.
DeleteBlood in the water? : )
DeleteCHum.
DeleteSpicy butter chicken (actually turkey).
ReplyDeleteProsecco.
Hey folks been sick since Thursday. I don't get sick. I don't like it. Had a heat pump installed in the midst of it on Friday to boot. Better now though.
ReplyDeletePvr'd the game last night and watched it this morning. Good all around game. Love the play of the captain, that has to give TFS a confidence boost.
Couple of things that really stood out otherwise - wtf was Dish doing on the first Rags goal? It was like he was trying to prove he didn't need Weber's help to exit the zone so just hung onto the puck.
Second thing is kidA taking a roughing penalty in Price's crease while he literally has worse done to him a dozen times each game without a call.
And a wicked crosscheck to Lb's back/neck with no call.
Get well St. Pad. We need ya!
DeleteAll true. Not Dish's best game for sure. Hope you're improving soon, SP. Kulak needs a nick. CHaput too
DeleteOl'CHap
DeleteKuul
ARB fantastic coolers made in OZ. And for CHaput CHappy like the movie
ReplyDelete@Saint Paddy, if you had the sane thing I did a couple weeks ago, it was brutal. Get well.
ReplyDeletere: CHaput, last night senile bob cold was calling him shampoo...
ReplyDeleteGood enough reason to not use 'shampoo' as a nick.
DeleteHAHAHAHAHA anyone watching sn's stupidly anti-Habs 'hockey hometown'? Over 20 Sundays of their shit and this is the ONLY one in Québec. Are they sucking off any ex-leaf tonight?
ReplyDeleteThe game is on rds here.
DeleteSo far no leaf in sight, Richer, Carbo, Cube and CHarlene Labonte.
DeleteGood.
DeleteMet Stéphane Richer twice. Nice guy.
Bold prediction: sCHlem's best game as a Hab will be tonight. 2 pts and 4 hits, 3 blocked shots, 2 pp min.
ReplyDeleteThat is bold.
DeleteDid y'all see Sara in her Habs jersey last night. Wow!
ReplyDeleteUpgraded from just prosecco to add a splash of Eldorado 5 rum and some Campari, making it Caribbean gasoline. Its a good burn.
ReplyDeleteGlenlevit single malt ... just to toast my Celtic heritage laddie.
DeleteNice.
DeleteFour Francophone refs in a Habs game is not a good look.
ReplyDeleteAck.
ReplyDeleteA Breezeby cross-ice pass by Dish that you are taught not to do in peewee hockey.
DeleteMy NY Giants and Liverpool Reds won today, c'mon Habs -- make it 3 for 3...
ReplyDeleteGo STEELERS!
DeleteSharks attacking.
ReplyDeleteUgly hit. Not good.
ReplyDeleteKill it!
2-0 SJ
DeleteSJ gets the crotch playoff penalty.
ReplyDeleteCash it FFS!
I get the feeling these guys don't like playing on a Sunday. Probably out too late last night at the strip joints.
ReplyDeleteAnother 4 TDs for my QB Mahomes today. Raiders actually gave them a run for their money. KC's D will be their downfall, much like our Habs. Secured first place in my league heading into the playoffs and have already earned my entry fee back.
ReplyDeletePatriots with a big win against the Vikings.
Packers fired their coach because Rodgers is a giant sook.
Tune into a 2-0 deficit. Fucking Sunday hockey.
Won my game today, I'm into the playoff round, I would be happy to get my money back as well. I don't have a team good enough to win it all.
DeletetheM. cheer for the Steelers.
DeleteAre we having fun yet? Ugh.
ReplyDeleteNot yet.
Delete2 periods to go.
... and STEELERS.
gonna stick with the last Kingdom.
ReplyDeleteSome nice stories and memories with Stephane Richer. That '86 team was special.
ReplyDeleteIt was.
DeleteCaught the OT earlier. Thought da Bears would find a way.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your team theM.
R.I.P. Ken Berry. one of those likeable guys.
ReplyDeleteWe really should be able to beat these guys. This is a tad disheartening.
ReplyDeleteThey heard ya.
DeleteDish!
ReplyDeleteGo You Fucking Steelers Go!!
ReplyDeleteNoice.
DeleteBTW, great sexy Sunday and yes Sara looked FHFabulous last night.
ReplyDeleteNow JFW.
Thx bro.
DeleteOuf.
ReplyDeleteStupidest penalty in pro sports.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to bow out and watch something else. I'm sports watching fatigued.
ReplyDelete'Night folks.
KidConner puts the Steelers up by two TDs (minus the extra pt).
ReplyDeleteOh man, Franco on the big screen. Nice.
ReplyDeleteThey just look discombobulated tonight. Or like my wee mum used to say, it looks like a dog’s dinner. Meh.
