All the best of Peace and Love to all FHFriends and their FHFamilies.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Prof 29 and the illustrious St. Pad for all their great work.
Have FHFun.
Play and drive safe.
Be sexy.
... and as always G Y F H G !
Same to you man. This place is a great sanctuary from the SFU. Cheers!!
DeleteThank you Moe and the same to you and yours.
DeletePeace and love will always work better than war and hate. Woody, well named because he always drove his wood, Allen once said I would not want to be a part of any club that would accept me. I have been banned from every acceptable site known to mankind yet here I exist. This is a sanctuary from the normal regulatory correct thinking that will lead to the sixth extinction. Justin Trudeau has said there is funding for important media in Canada. Well 4HF should get a bundle for the work that is done here. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, just peace on earth to everyone of every colour, religion or belief, even the evil people at Sports net and NHL HQ.
ReplyDeletePeace, lo e and many many thanks for making this place the Hans mecca it is. Everyone be safe and happy this holiday season. However it is you celebrate , do it well! Thanks also to the Hans for making the season mu h more interesting ...so far...Gi You Fucking Habs Go!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy belated Hanukkah. Joyeux Noel and Fleece Navy Dad.
ReplyDeleteI just want to thank Marc Bergevin for giving us the gift of hope for Christmas. I for one, have crapped on him a lot since the PK trade an admit he might have an inkling of knowledge about the game. Trades are working out, the team is still improving and TFS is getting back on track. Now I'm sure he's aware that there is a couple of aspects of the team that need improving and will be working the phones after the holidays to start making dents in those areas. Thank you Mr Bergevin, I have renewed faith in your abilities as a GM.
All the best for the holidays and catCH you on the flip side of Christmas!

DeleteMerry Merry to all my FHFriends, and may you all enjoy a Drunk History Xmas as much as Ryan Gosling does.
ReplyDeleteAnyone use Deezer for music? My friend is getting a music player that plays hi rez for Christmas. He has downloaded the free version. Streaming the remix of groups like the Clash and THe Who is noticably better. To download its a paid subscription.
ReplyDeleteI gotta give the edge to the leaf on this one. To many pickups in Montreal. The M will appreciate the Druid ride.

juce!!!!!
DeleteHope you are well!
So... had the wife's family over for Xmas dinner on Saturday. My step-grandkids and niece combined for less than five years betwixt them, plus nine adults in our Mile End condo made for cramped, if merry, quarters. Brakes on the car started screeching, so I knew my day off on the 24th would amount to a frantic day getting gouged at a garage (dropped a grand on that). Sure enough, the hot water tank went kaflooey at 9:20 a.m. Monday. Lesson learned: tempt the fates at your peril. We put off replacing that fucker for years. Tomorrow, finally, I'll be able to get the process started with Hydro-Quebec (they were cheerfully closed the past three days, natch). Still managed to enjoy and feel lucky and eternally grateful for the joys of family and the wonders of children marveling in Christmastime. But if bad luck comes in threes...
ReplyDeleteOn the plus side, my fancy-pants book editor sis nabbed me hardcover copies of both Chrétien's latest (My Stories, My Times), and a 40th anniversary edition of The World According to Garp. And bonus: they were signed by the authors. She makes me jealous, getting to meet and work with these geniuses. She edited père Subban's book last year too.
DeleteWe did our traditional Christmas dinner on the 24th. We've had to change things up now that our oldest son has the family with small children so we go there for the Christmas day experience. Today was a laid back day, currently got the Junior game on. Truthfully, I'm looking forward to the world going back to normal tomorrow. I'll be off to a local cafe in the morning to read the day's paper, then walk around the uptown area for a bit.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll be walking around any where today. Holy crap it's cold!!
DeleteNasty windCHill today!
DeleteWe just do our small family unit Christmas dinner on 'the day' and it's the traditional turkey and fixins. Had turkey dinner 2.0 for lunch yesterday and will have 3.0 for lunch today. We should be rid of the 'fixins' by the end of the day and then we'll turn the extra turkey into some curry, a la king and of course sandwiches (with hot chocolate). And then soup of course.
ReplyDeleteNot to be a downer but I just remembered I found my uncle dead on the floor of his bedroom 31 years ago today. I was 18 and up early to hit the slopes. He used to spend the odd winter with us. Remember it like it was yesterday.
RIP Dop. (his name was Joe but everybody called him Dop). He taught me to play cribbage when I was four years old. Pretty sure that (and darts) is why I'm good to this day at multiplying numbers in my head.
Habs have called up Alzzzzzzsnore to replace Schlomo ... will we even notice a difference?
ReplyDeletePrice out with a LBI ... should we get Steve to fire up the Tank?
ReplyDeleteSomeone at work says this tracks consistently with the wife's requirement that hubby stay put with baby due. Sure enough, the announcement came six months ago.
DeleteImplicit in that: a) Rule of thumb is to announce a pregnancy only after passing the three-month mark. b) I wouldn't put it past Mrs. Price to furnish said lower-body injury at this time, should none care to present itself inherently.
Deletelooks like a Putin tank maneuver right out of the Donbass. LB out, Alzzzzner in? Bergy has his eyes on a rangy D man in the top ten. If I am TFS I am asking my agent to get a restraining order to keep Bergy at least 50 meters from a tire iron.
ReplyDeleteMy friend cracked the Spotify/Deezer nut, encyrpted music files to 256k MP3. Not quite the accomplishment of the Chinese converting copper to gold, but much easier and you can do it with a laptop and a internet connection. Watched the outlaw King, kinda the made for TV movie of Brave Heart.
This December was the first one I can ever remember, and thats better than meteorological records where it never went below zero long enough to be important. If I am running for PM, my slogan is going to be, I am going to burn coal until we can grow bananas in Toronto.
Speaking of Putin, the Russians have developed a new carrier missle for nukes that cannot be knocked down after launch. Trump says "oh yeah?" "Watch me drive the economy into the ground motherfucker, now hand over those tapes!"
DeleteMcNiven (Ime iN!'s back-up, with CHill also injured) is 21 years old, undrafted, with a .884 save percentage in 12 appearances with the Laval Rocket this season. Let's hope the boys make sure nobody runs ime iN!
ReplyDeleteMichael McNiven (MikeyNivey!) is hardly a name to stoke morbid fear in the hearts of the enemy.
Sometimes, these unknown goalies can be a problem to the opposition because there is no "book" on them, kinda like what happens every single time the Habs play some nobody who looks like Hasek in his prime.
