Can't get past the sidewalks buses ans traffic lights before I'm called a computer and cut off.
    Go Habs

  2. JFW.

If they lose tonight, turn out the lights and prepare for the weekend. There is an important holiday on Sunday. If they lose tonight, stick an O' in front of your last name and celebrate/drown your sorrows all weekend. And if you find yourself in Halifax drop by my annual St Paddy's Day Levee.

  3. Nice bit o blues from Keef and a smart video to boot. I'll bet Tipper Gore got all huffy about the f-bomb when it was first released in '88

Andrew Shaw couldn't avoid a suspension and fine for uttering a homophobic slur, yet leafer Morgan Reilly gets away with it. Typical SFU toronto media bias gets him off. I don't believe for a second he didn't do it.

  8. So the hope is, here, that the Habs make the playoffs.

The BELL Centre atmosphere would/will be a huge experience for all the newbies that have never seen or been part of a Habs playoff. How far a round 1 series could go, who knows, who cares, because they've come this far this season, it would be FHFucking FHFun! Bonus, it'll make the SFU double up their blue and white Depends.

  13. Interesting juxtaposition of the BELL CEntre Habs statues of greats like the Rocket, the Flower and Le Gros Bill, as compared to the hoax that is the leaf legend bronzed bench of a lot of non-Stanley Cup winners. So many true Canadiens greats and what an image of the young girl in front of Maurice Richard.

  22. The guys on TSN690 right now talking about the Habs PP. How Dano in the high slot never ever shoots. Made me think they are perhaps over-coached - like scaref to follow their instincts and always making the safe choice or the one they won't get blasted by the coaches for, even if it fails. --SiM

Congrats Carey Price, I hope you can someday add a Cup to your impressive resume.

  37. the Maritimer11:01 AM

I know it's just a dream, but it would be so poetic if Carey Price could get this team into the playoffs then go on a Ken Dryden-like run circa 1971, or Patrick Roy in 1986 and take the Habs to a totally unexpected Cup victory. It's not unprecedented in this day and age for it to happen. Jonathan Quick took the 8th place 2012 LA Kings all the way (that should have been the Habs ... fucking cryder). The '71 Habs were supposed to have zero chance against the Bobby Orr/Phil Esposito led broonz but you play the games on the ice, not on paper.

It would be so delicious to shut up the cackling SFU leafool fanboy hacks.

    1. I agree theM.

Bonus would be to see their reaction to Domini, who they ripped as an empty-net-only scorer.

Anything to fuck with their (empty) heads.

      Cheers, bro.

      Delete
    3. Yep, only scored 9 goals, but 5 were empty netters!

Just a dream, but a hell of a dream. Let's hold onto it so long as the boys have a shot at a playoffs spot.

    4. A delicious scenario, yes, but with our current D-corps, they'd be over-achievers just to get past the first round.

  38. It was Carey's night and he helped in a great team win last night. But the best thing about this season is that it hasn't been Carey saving every game.

There is a potential for no less than 13 players to score career highs in points and/or goals.

    Player - Current Season/Best Season/Points-Goals needed

    Max - 24-38-62/All Career Highs

    Tatar - 22-28-50/29-27-56/7 points

    Druid - 17-33-50/21-32-53/4 points

    kidA - 30-16-46/31-23-54/9 points-2 goals

    Dano - 11-35-46/High Points/3 goals

    Dish - 11-30-41/12-30-42/2 points-2 goals

    SSR - 17-19-36/20-19-39/4 goals-4 points

    Leko - 8-17-25/18-10-28/4 points

    Benn - 4-14-18/3-17-20/3 points

Even Radar and Meat with 11 points are each career highs. And Peca and KoHo with their limited playing time have career highs, Koho for obvious reasons.

Just imagine if they could figure out the PP.

  39. And you know Carey sits at #29 overall in wins right now. If he stays healthy and can win 32-35 games per year (either with the Habs or the Totems), he will be top 10 by the end of the 20-21 season and potentially top 5 by the end of the 22-23 season (though Hank and MAF could move up into top 5 positions with more wins before they retire, and depending on how much longer Luongo plays). Again, if he remains healthy he could top Roy by the end of his current contract. But it would mean averaging 32-33 wins each season for the next 7. I think Brodeur's record is safe, with 140 more wins than Roy.

    1. Top 10 would be a huge career achievement, if healthy, I could see TFS making to Top 7.

  44. I'm not sure good is the word, but interesting read about the 2005 draft by EE. It quotes burkake so can't get a good rating. And I don't believe GM's that say if such and such a player was gone we were taking Price.
