Best concert I ever saw in my whole life. Hard to believe that was almost 14 years ago and those old bastards are still at it!!
Enjoy Brother moe!!
Regarding the sfu induced Duchene rumour, I would be OK with bbb giving him a 5 year deal --- hard to believe bergy is even sniffing around a player of that magnitude. Some bodies would have to be moved out but hey! it's not personal, it's business. I doubt MD comes to Montreal though, he can get more from Nashville or Columbus.
Agree the M, that was a hell of a concert. While the Stones put on the best show, the Hip impressed the hell out of me and were by far my favourite part of that day. I can't remember but I think Maroon 5 even put on a good show even if they're not really my cup of tea.
What are the odds of MB dumping Alzner on a cap floor team while retaining most of his salary? And I wonder what else he'd have to give up for somebody to take that cap hit? Thatz's the sort of thing he will need to do to fit Doc (MD) and a potential LD.
After giving it some thought (with help from some whiskey) and reading other people's thoughts (Twitter) I've come to a conclusion regarding Matt Duchene. If he is willing to Come to Montreal sign him. Pay top dollar if you have to. For years we have complained that the Habs have no elite talent up front. No. 1 centers are never available. Well, Duchene is both. The Habs can part with any of their middle of the road guys like Shaw, Byron, Tatar et al to make room for a player like Duchene. I say do it!
Haven't posted here since maybe the Rookie Tourney in TO? Saw the Steel Wheels tour @ the Big O from up high with the Gods then Voodoo Lounge from up front on the floor. A very nice homage to Some Girls, actually think it was sublime.. Give a shout out to The Beaches who are on the bill they're friends of mine... bring plenty of water....
And Suzuki knows there’s plenty of room for growth, too. He’s leaving development camp with a mandate from Laval Rocket coach Joel Bouchard to refine his attention to detail in the defensive zone and he’s being told to focus specifically on becoming a more explosive skater, which is something he’ll tackle with a training program given to him by Montreal’s strength coaches, but also by participating in semi-private and private lessons with world-renowned skating coach Barb Underhill.
MARITIMER!! have you lost your mind?! MD at the cost of your middle of the road guys! brother... i love reading your posts cause you are an older guy like me who has a good memory of what the habs used to be/should be... but u need a re-think on taking MD by saying au revoir to SSR, LB, and ta-tarrrrr! i wouldnt even do it straight up for ONE of them!
everybody on this board said the exact same thing a few yrs ago when they traded sergeichev for druid. thats the price to pay for top end talent. you gotta be willing to pay the price to get back a quality proven performer. players like that dont come around often. and on and on and on EVERYBODY said the same thing.
what happened? YOU ALL turned on druid and now he is just another mikey ribs! ironically.... i still like the guy cause i still see desire and effort. all im trying to say is DONT EVER discount heart cause that is irreplaceable and that is what those three have. MD coming on board... who knows... maybe he gives the team a shot in the arm for a year or two, but do you remember guys brought in like ak47, alzheimer, were just as frustrating when everything didnt go their way?
bring in MD if its cheap, but if it doesnt work, besides being an ego thing later (called regret), it clutters the shelves blocking the way for the naturally gained talent.
Good points on Druid. MD has the main benefit of being a similar player to this year's Conn Smyth winner, so expect his agent is using that to inflate his tires. I heard one commentator mention the guy doesn't seem to be happy wherever he plays, which may be a warning sign. I want to see a top-end left D and a solid back-up goalie added as top priority - not Dichesne or any other forward. --SiM
Hey oleg! I didn't advocate trading any of those guys you mentioned. All I meant was somebody would probably have to go to fit MD in, position wise and salary cap wise. It's all sfu driven speculation anyway, click bait as it were, I don't think MD is coming to Montreal. I just said IF mb can get him then by all means get some elite talent on this team.
Hey look at that gCHuk back in the east, traded for donut boy. That's 2 ex-Habs retraded since leaving MTL. Maybe ol Bergy is actually smarter than most fans when it comes to running a hockey team.
going to give Domini a run for points total for sure. Bergy smarter than me, no way, I have forgotten more about hockey than he will ever know and so has Alzner.
"The 25-year-old Galchenyuk has put up five consecutive 40-point seasons and can play both ends of the ice, something that wasn’t always at the top of Kessel’s priority list."
gChuck is well known for his 200 ft game, FAKE NEWS
More fake news, Canada is at a tax disatvantage. No the signing bonus is taxed at 15%. All the remaining salary can be put in a defrerred account that will not be taxed until the player has left Quebec and then will be taxed at the rate of residence. So for Canadian players the deferred is not a big deal, but the signing bounus is huge, and Mtl is one of the few teams that can take a $50 mill hit in the first year.
I have been Thinkingaboot the common problem of lack of explosive skating. I have patented skates that you load with ladyfingers and they ignite like a cap gun with every stride, the skates magazine can hold over 100 ladyfingers and that should last more than a shift. We have an entertainment crisis in full bloom. Its like the music crisis but worse. It costs way more to make TV than audio. My rotation currently is down to fear the walking dead, and the 100. Both very B although the 100 has picked up its game. I have in my resivor Ozarks, Strange Things, Dark, I am about to embark on Peaky Blinders. I worked with and was friends with a young guy from Kenya whose dad owned the media, his problem he was one of 100 sons. We had good discussions all the time and he said Peaky Blinders toped the wire and Sopranos. So on Canada Day I embark on a new journey into a dark British Past, his there any part of British History that is not Dark?
necessity is the mother of invention. I cant afford to make Kim Stanley Robinson or Peter Hamilton come to life. So my story is cheap and dirty with lots of nudity, and extreme violence. 2000 years after the last nuke war people emerge from shelters, the only survivors in the middle east are a handful of Jews, in the north some Vikings, the rest of world is without histroy. The greeks and romans have some books left, they advance. The last people work to make a better world. The American Revolution was a false flag, and today we have Trump. we got him for two seconds one of witch became the demon bearcat. we sold him for one second and a third and a seventh, not a bad rental. I dont think he ever had a CHance to play his game in Montreal full time. So what will the legacy of Lego be in the future? As Ho Chi Min said about the French revolution when asked, "too soon to tell"
KidKo bonded with SSR. Anotherof those intangibles. A young guy with two Cups is gonna be missed, but this bodes well for having a big signing tomorrow. Simmonds or Duchesne. Or maybe another trade (my preference)? --SiM
sfu leafools now pointing at NYI Anders Lee, 6-3, 231 lb LW asbergy's target, looks like the Blues had som influence on the league. Size still matters.
Off topic: Last Friday, I rewatched the Habs pick CCRider on the pvr. Marc Bergevin gets to the stage and proceeds to thank the Canucks, the Aquilinis and the City of Vancouver for their hospitality and also thanked the St. Louis Blues for winning the Cup. Now obviously his mouth was ahead of his brain as he meant to CONGRATULATE St. Louis but instinctively perhaps he was thanking them for beating the fucking broonz and douchebag ratface marchand. Still, I chuckled when he said it.
Just for the record I liked Andrew Shaw as well but, like I was joking with oleg, somebody had to go to make room if bergy was going shopping tomorrow. Shaw is, unfortunately, one hit away from retirement with his concussion history. Those picks the Habs got are like gold for Timmins. Good job! Duchene or Anders Lee are going score much more than Shaw and either one should help out the moribund PP.
Now Fiver is gone to the Ducks for a 4th round pick. Per TSN690's @joeyalfieri that leaves 22 on the roster with 13.55 million in cap space. A trade for Crosby or Malkin is possible, if my stupid-ass Technicolour dream comes true! --SiM
holy crap u guys! its not j.01 yet, but happy cannibis day i guess. what is that stuff u smoking out there maritimer!? how the fxxxx did u see SSR on his way out!?! and to make way for MD, wayne or big anders!?!
maybe im being too modest but some of u other smokers are now saying sid or geno!@! holy crap, that weirdly sounds possible. heck, ever since gCHucky and PFK got moved, i guess anything is possible with BBB driving this (former) crazy train.
hey steve: NO! JB belongs with us, not with the crapucks. dont wanna watch him all the time decomposing here. hes a good guy (who i think has improved a lot), and it would be a mistake to let him walk.
Yep that's what the 'experts' are saying. For the best maybe, I wasn't sold on him.
Love the idea of Geno (Sid will never leave Mario). But in reality we're probably looking at Anders Lee and Jake Gardiner (like him or not). Or some equivalent.
Good Morning BitCHes! Everybody ready for a big day? I'll be out and about this afternoon, hopefully Mssr. Bergevin, like Bullwinkle the Moose, can pull a rabbit out of his hat today and strike terror into the sfu heart. So, it looks like MD is Nashville bound, Bread man is going to the Island and the Habs are interested in big mofo Anders Lee and maybe Jake Gardiner. I'm OK with that but it would be really sweet if mb grows really big ones and offer sheets marner or, even better, Sebastian Aho! (Bless You!). Should be an interesting day.
Big Game Bergy comes home with a bunny wrabbit. Or he offer sheets Pointe, Lanine, Aho and Charlie Mcavoy. I am not excited about $7 for 29 year old Anders Lee.
Weather's sketchy so I decided to stay home and do some painting. And thought I'd turn on the sfu to see what's happenin. Even with mcsplooge on their giant panel, tsn is 1000% easier to watch and listen to. Tuned into SN for about 6 seconds and heard both the Fried Man and Kypriodiot speak and switched back.
Spezza to the leaf. Plan the parade.
Aho and/or Marner are likely offer sheet candidates including the Habs according to the 'insiders'.

The Canadiens have agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract ($700,000 NHL and $300,000 AHL – guaranteed salary $400,000) with free agent forward Riley Barber.

The Canadiens have announced that they have tendered an offer sheet to restricted free agent Sebastian Aho of the Carolina Hurricanes. The proposed contract is for five years, with an average annual value of $8.454 million.

"This shows to our fans that Geoff Molson and ownership, we want to be a good hockey team. We want to win. That's the risk we're taking. That's the business we're in." - Marc Bergevin
Canadiens Montréal Verified account @CanadiensMTL 7m7 minutes ago
''Sebastian Aho accepted our offer. He wants to come to Montreal. He sees our youngsters coming up in the organization and he wants to be a part of that. We're proud, but there's still a waiting period.'' - Marc Bergevin
So good presser and explanation by Bergy. While it's probably not high enough to scare off the Canes, it is what both team and Aho believe he is worth. Spending another 1.5 per and an extra 1st hinders the chances of signing current young guys in the next 2-3 years. Also i think that's the number he needed to stay at in order to also get a LD whic is the biggest need.
He sure made it sound like Aho wanted to be a Hab. Might have to wait 5 years when he's a FA at 26. Or maybe the Carolina owner doesn't want to spend the $21 million in the first year and they work out a deal with some other pieces going to the Canes...after they initially match the offer. Options.
Anyway today Bergy is like the Grinch. His balls grew to 3 times their normal size. Would have been 4 times had he gone to 9.5 or 10 per year.
The front loaded bonuses are the only reason the canes don't match...probably will but 20m=total gate for canes for entire year - so could be interesting...
Bold move by bergy (I predicted it above) but probably not enough to get it done. Like Saint Paddy said, the Habs and Aho settled on a fair price and if the Jerks match so be it. The only chance it has to succeed is if Dundun decides that the player acted as a traitor and says fuck'em, let him go. Or, bergy and Waddell work out a deal in the next week. I assume mb has a backup plan as well.
Even if this doesn't work, some of the sfu said the Habs are still in good shape going forward with their prospects and a shit load of cap space. Shore up the left D see what happens.
Kind of ironic that Montreal will largely be helping Carolina pay Aho in the future regardless, with welfare payments to one of buttman's basket case teams.
They're still doing that eh? 74-cent loonie and all? Happy Canada Day. Ond thing that should rankle Canes' fans is knowing Aho wishes he was a Hab. --SiM
So does having PFK and Simmonds on the Devils make them more interesting to play against? Certainly makes them bigger...slightly older too...but more interesting? Not sure. Kadri to the Avs is a meh...although the laffs crumbled after he was suspended in the playoffs, so what do I know. At one point not long ago I worried that the leaf might make a strong move up the standings for good...now I'm pretty sure they will struggle to make the show next season.
@TSN_Parody 10h10 hours ago More TSN SportsCentre lineup:
1. #Leafs Barrie-Kadri trade 2. Marner does nothing 3. How the Aho offer sheet might impact Marner 4. #Leafs sign Spezza 5. Kawhi does nothing 6. All the other NHL signings combined (if there’s any time left, which there won’t be)
One good thing about bergy's l'offre hostile yesterday, it gave all those talking heads something to yap about for hours instead of the fucking putrid leaf. Well done.
bbb took his shot. That's it then. Move on and try to make a trade to shore up the D and let the youngsters play. If they don't make the playoffs again they get a shot at Alex Lafreniere next June.
Yeah, First Aid, boring shit but a some of it is good to know. I took it many times when I worked and I think most of the stuff I learned is valid.
all great leaders and GM set the table for future victory, that is not from the Art of War that is form Steve. We have put a place on the table that will gather dust for at least one year, but the cry of the stranded Finnish Wales will drive Aho to the shores of Montreal.
I think the offer sheets are done. Can't go to that well too many times.
I think bbb needs to work on a trade of some kind. They've got tons of picks, maybe he can circle back to getting the Ghost out of Philthy. He's got lots of time now to work on something over the summer.
Whatever MB does, I Ssume Leko and GI Finn will be back. I felt they both inder-performed somewhat last year and will put up more points in 19-20. SSR needs a replacement. KidA, WealDeal and Tuna are still around. EAP is am instant upgrade on Fiver. Domi, Dano, KidKo, NT also there at C. Still need a left D and an SSR replacement. What's Vodkov up to? --SiM
Until the Canes sign that contract, it ain't over. But assuming it is, MB has a lot of cap space to work with. Now he might not be the 'cap wizard' ( (c) sfu) that the wretched team has, but he best do something to fill the glaring needs on the team. By all accounts Jake Gardiner is more of a 3-4 D, so trades must be made. I still think the Oil is the best trade candidate and now that Chiapet is gone maybe a Klefbom or Nurse could be pryed away. Still would love Draisaitl but that's not happening.
They did those 3 songs in Moncton and I was floored ... never forget it.
mb ain't done, he's got a mandate to spend that money any way he can. It won't work but I'd l'offre hostile marner just to fuck over the wretched leaf and their dumb as fuck mediots.
As a kid we didn't often get 'store bought cookies' as we referred to them. Because my mom was a phenomenal baker, so why bother? Plus we didn't have much money. But every once in a while, a bag of Mr Christie's Chips Ahoy! would make it into the grocery bag and was I ever excited. Not sure why, they are an inferior cookie. Probably advertising. Plus my sweet tooth.
Anyway, I was ready to christen our newest Hab CHips (not to be confused with CHip who I think is still on our roster). CHips, short for CHips Aho! But alas. We wait for that signature.
Lots of bitCHin' and complainin' form the Carolina side. Lots of finger pointing too. The whole organization including eye gouging justin williams are laughable ... and can all fuck right off. Their lame ass owner Dundun puts on a brave face but I bet he is seething having to write those two cheques to Aho. Wanna bet SB gets called into the office for a tongue lashing?
you said it, moeman, and this is perhaps the larger point of the entire exercise. Bergy is able to point out two things: A) that Canadian teams are at a tax disadvantage for UFA signings; and B) that these "welfare" teams sucking from the teat of what is essentially league-sanctioned socialism for the wealthy southern teams is all a complete crock of fucking shit.
I've said it for a long time, the Montreal Canadiens need to put the weak, cheap and useless bettman teams on notice. No more handouts. These loads of shit teams water down the league and hamper true franchises. In a weird way Geoff/dgmb are doing the entire league (ok minus the scrambling pinheads in tranna) a favour. Sure they have struggled of late but when you are the true foundation of a 100+ year old league, you make sure you lead.
Habs should wear their home jerseys for their first game of the season. No way they should let a backwards fucked up bunch of sfucking assholes tell them otherwise. Aho, when he next plays in Montreal should be CHeered, loudly, every time he touches the puck. A few Aho! Aho!s would be good too.
Next up, assuming the Canes are blowing smoke up everybody's asses, an offer sheet for Point, a player I believe is worth coveting. Timing could blow it up in MB's face, but Marner should be left to Leafdom IMHO
i have solved my problem, keyboard is stuck. Anyway Kudos to Toronto and the SFU. They against all odds signed the biggest prize in the sporting world.

JB and BBB had discussions but were too far apart. It's known he wants to test the market - otherwise woud've been signed by now. --SiM

ReplyDeleteYep that's what the 'experts' are saying. For the best maybe, I wasn't sold on him.
DeleteLove the idea of Geno (Sid will never leave Mario). But in reality we're probably looking at Anders Lee and Jake Gardiner (like him or not). Or some equivalent.
switched out of his Tarlek suit into his big game hunter wardrobe, going to look ugly if he fires blanks

ReplyDeleteBig Game Bergy comes home with a bunny wrabbit. Or he offer sheets Pointe, Lanine, Aho and Charlie Mcavoy. I am not excited about $7 for 29 year old Anders Lee.

Dorion trades one of his top-four and top-8 dmen for a 6th dman and a penalty killer so that his team's main rival could keep Marner. Makes sense.
it crys league investigation
DeleteIt would be nice for something big to happen with the Habs, it's been years.
ReplyDeleteWeather's sketchy so I decided to stay home and do some painting. And thought I'd turn on the sfu to see what's happenin. Even with mcsplooge on their giant panel, tsn is 1000% easier to watch and listen to. Tuned into SN for about 6 seconds and heard both the Fried Man and Kypriodiot speak and switched back.
ReplyDeleteSpezza to the leaf. Plan the parade.
Aho and/or Marner are likely offer sheet candidates including the Habs according to the 'insiders'.

Hearing Keith Kinkaid to Montreal is likely, if not done.
Sounds like they don't have faith in Lindgren as backup. So I guess a journeyman backup from NJ is a fine option. I guess.

DeleteAnd with that, BBB has concluded his transactions. A big day!

I think MD's contract is a fair number when looking at other contracts.
DeleteAgreed. But probably best left to the Predators to pay. We are developing our own big players. Still, with SSR gone, a replacement would be necessary.

The Canadiens have announced that they have tendered an offer sheet to restricted free agent Sebastian Aho of the Carolina Hurricanes. The proposed contract is for five years, with an average annual value of $8.454 million.
I never realized he is not a smurf, just hit the 6 foot marker
DeleteWe are offer sheeting Holy Fuck Batmann Elephant Gun!@!!
ReplyDeleteSnowballs to the storm surge, I guess the other owners hold the Whalercanes ownership in the same high regard/
ReplyDeleteCariolina is sure to match.
Well Bergy has finally sent an FU to other GMs who supposedly suggest this is a taboo mmove, even if part of negotiations.
ReplyDeleteNow if Aho signs it the Canes will match imho. If the don't it costs a 1,2,3. But they will. If he signs. He may yet get more offersheets.
Aho has already signed it
Deletethis could be like a well know world leaders version of sex, its not rape its a negotiation. So we add Nature or EAP Dancer and deal is done.

''Sebastian Aho accepted our offer. He wants to come to Montreal. He sees our youngsters coming up in the organization and he wants to be a part of that. We're proud, but there's still a waiting period.'' - Marc Bergevin
Cliche counter spinning out of control
ReplyDelete"its not personal its bidness"
"he will make our team better"
BJÖRG Lee resigns with island
ReplyDeleteSo good presser and explanation by Bergy.
ReplyDeleteHe sure made it sound like Aho wanted to be a Hab.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Matching is possible but it puts pressure on them and might stop them from persuing more players this season. --SiM
DeletePursuing, rather
DeleteJason Bourne says " sleep is a weapon " and he goes out and destroys the CIA

pwahwahahahwhahahahah!!! lmfao!
DeleteBBB gets powned by steve!
Well this was a fascinating development. Offer offer offer!
ReplyDeleteHi all, hope all is well. Happy Canada Day, eh?
Bold move by bergy (I predicted it above) but probably not enough to get it done. Like Saint Paddy said, the Habs and Aho settled on a fair price and if the Jerks match so be it. The only chance it has to succeed is if Dundun decides that the player acted as a traitor and says fuck'em, let him go. Or, bergy and Waddell work out a deal in the next week. I assume mb has a backup plan as well.
ReplyDeleteEven if this doesn't work, some of the sfu said the Habs are still in good shape going forward with their prospects and a shit load of cap space. Shore up the left D see what happens.
The Jackal gone to the Avs.
ReplyDeleteThis will be the headline on all the sportscasts. Guaranteed.
DeleteYikes the Jackal might be on the cup
DeleteKind of ironic that Montreal will largely be helping Carolina pay Aho in the future regardless, with welfare payments to one of buttman's basket case teams.
ReplyDeleteYeah that fucking stinks.
DeleteThey're still doing that eh? 74-cent loonie and all? Happy Canada Day. Ond thing that should rankle Canes' fans is knowing Aho wishes he was a Hab. --SiM
DeleteGeez I hope moeman survived his Stones experience.
ReplyDeleteSo does having PFK and Simmonds on the Devils make them more interesting to play against? Certainly makes them bigger...slightly older too...but more interesting? Not sure. Kadri to the Avs is a meh...although the laffs crumbled after he was suspended in the playoffs, so what do I know. At one point not long ago I worried that the leaf might make a strong move up the standings for good...now I'm pretty sure they will struggle to make the show next season.

I was just about to repost this! Great minds...
DeleteOne good thing about bergy's l'offre hostile yesterday, it gave all those talking heads something to yap about for hours instead of the fucking putrid leaf. Well done.
ReplyDeleteSounds official the Canes will be matching. Or is it just posturing?
ReplyDeleteLike I said, get him at 26 instead.
Sitting through 1st Aid training today. Brutal.
bbb took his shot. That's it then. Move on and try to make a trade to shore up the D and let the youngsters play. If they don't make the playoffs again they get a shot at Alex Lafreniere next June.
DeleteYeah, First Aid, boring shit but a some of it is good to know. I took it many times when I worked and I think most of the stuff I learned is valid.
Yeah every 3 years. First time trainer today. He needs practice... I'll leave it at that
Deleteall great leaders and GM set the table for future victory, that is not from the Art of War
Deletethat is form Steve. We have put a place on the table that will gather dust for at least one year, but the cry of the stranded Finnish Wales will drive Aho to the shores of Montreal.
So I guess MB can't offer sheet Point or Rantanen until Carolina officially sign Aho. Be awesome if Bergy did that though.
ReplyDeleteI think the offer sheets are done. Can't go to that well too many times.
DeleteI think bbb needs to work on a trade of some kind. They've got tons of picks, maybe he can circle back to getting the Ghost out of Philthy. He's got lots of time now to work on something over the summer.
Yeah just messin around. Rumour has it that centres can also be had via trade.
DeleteWhatever MB does, I Ssume Leko and GI Finn will be back. --SiM
ReplyDeleteTo be serious we have to take a serious shot at Lannia, the full monty, all in fuck the future, feel the day
ReplyDeleteUntil the Canes sign that contract, it ain't over.
ReplyDeleteHey Kids.
ReplyDeleteTook an extra few days and logged off.
Appreciated dgmb's hostile offer and that Aho signed.
Not surprised it was matched, they usually are.
The canes are one of those leech/mooch teams. they can fuck off.
Not surprised to see the SFU slagging dgmb and the Habs. It has and always be their M.O.
Meanwhile they praise hackneyed a$$-saving financial moves as genial.
Get a D man, wait things out, sit on Molson's wad of cash and see if a really good player shakes out before the season opener, in Carolina.
The Rolling Stones show was off the charts incredible. Best outdoor show I've ever attended.
ReplyDeleteBiggest takeaway is that they rocked it out harder than I expected.
Keith and Ronnie put on a guitar lesson on almost every song.
Mick was in his element and had a lot of fun.
Charlie was Charlie.
Musicians and back-up singers were stellar.
Stage and sound were incredibly well set up. Pristine audio. Gorgeous large screens.
My wish for a jamming Midnight Rambler was fulfilled. Clocked in at 14 minutes.
Best song, for me, was Sympathy for the Devil, second would be Gimme Shelter.
Amazing crowd of 70k Stones fans. Beers were $12.50.
We stayed at my Aunt's place on Lake Simcoe, who lives 5 minutes, by car, to the venue.
Other's had a 2 1/2 hour wait to get out of the parking lot.
All in all, a spectacular show and Canada Day weekend.
We live in the BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD and I got to see the BEST ROCK N' ROLL BAND IN THE WORLD.

YEAH BABY!! YOU GOT THAT RIGHT ON BOTH COUNTS!!!
DeleteThey did those 3 songs in Moncton and I was floored ... never forget it.
mb ain't done, he's got a mandate to spend that money any way he can. It won't work but I'd l'offre hostile marner just to fuck over the wretched leaf and their dumb as fuck mediots.
Quick! Claim your spot on the parade route.

Same as Aho right?
As a kid we didn't often get 'store bought cookies' as we referred to them. Because my mom was a phenomenal baker, so why bother? Plus we didn't have much money.
ReplyDeleteBut every once in a while, a bag of Mr Christie's Chips Ahoy! would make it into the grocery bag and was I ever excited.
DeleteI was thinking Mate as in Aho Mate !
DeleteMolson needs to tell the NHL HQ that he is done with welfare cheques to the poor US teams like the fucks in CAR and AZ. Just FOAD.
Deleteyou said it, moeman, and this is perhaps the larger point of the entire exercise. Bergy is able to point out two things: A) that Canadian teams are at a tax disadvantage for UFA signings; and B) that these "welfare" teams sucking from the teat of what is essentially league-sanctioned socialism for the wealthy southern teams is all a complete crock of fucking shit.
DeleteI've said it for a long time, the Montreal Canadiens need to put the weak, cheap and useless bettman teams on notice.
DeleteHabs should wear their home jerseys for their first game of the season. No way they should let a backwards fucked up bunch of sfucking assholes tell them otherwise. Aho, when he next plays in Montreal should be CHeered, loudly, every time he touches the puck. A few Aho! Aho!s would be good too.
ReplyDeleteThe "Aho!" chant could be misconstrued to be directed at Williams. Still works.
DeleteOoh, well done St. Pad
DeleteNext up, assuming the Canes are blowing smoke up everybody's asses, an offer sheet for Point, a player I believe is worth coveting. Timing could blow it up in MB's face, but Marner should be left to Leafdom IMHO
ReplyDelete*aren't blowing smoke*
DeleteI'd like it but have dgmb's balls been kicked with the Ahoffer (new word bitCHes)?
Deletei have solved my problem, keyboard is stuck. Anyway Kudos to Toronto and the SFU. They against all odds
ReplyDeletesigned the biggest prize in the sporting world.
