R.I.P. Gordie, I was in the hospital recovering from my surgery when Mrs. TheM told me of his passing. I remember crying a little, must have been all the meds I was on. I don't usually get that emotional.
R.I.P. Danny Grant, a far superior shooter than any fucking leaf ever was, except maybe Rick Vaive.
13! She's fucking hot!
Nice pic of Mr. October, anybody remember he was traded to the 'Yotes for Sergei Berezin, now Vodkov's agent?
We need to play Minny more often just for the Wilde posts. *looks at weekend schedule* Yay!
Rained and blew like hell for about 4 hours, but it seems to have passed. Soften up the greens for tomorrow. I'm getting too old for this, but I have a guys trip down the shore to play 9 tomorrow afternoon, overnight with poker, food and overindulging of spirits at a camp one of them just bought, and another 18 on Saturday before heading back home.
The rain in London is crashing down real hard this morning. Boris apparently has a way to make Brexit happen, Meat got his first goal a, Nature picked up his first goal. But I missed them all because I spent the night on the phone with Mom - and we had the biggest win of the night - she is kicking that fuckin' cancer's ass all over Oshawa. Radiation on her head has reduced tumour size, and her hormone treatment, although continuing, has almost completely rid her of the cancer in her breast and neck...Prognosis is cautious but positive (she is approaching 88 after all) but I'm going to take it as a great early season win and get planning a family visit over soon. Add in a Habs shuttie win and I'd say it was a prettyy fuckin' amazing day. I want to send a huge wet sloppy Kiss to Dr. F at Lakeridge in Oshawa - she has been the real star of the past few months - treating a scared little lady with so much respect and patience and helping her all along the way. Thanks!
So amazing to hear that, K3X! So what if your mom's 88? Jimmy Carter is 95 and still actively contributing. He beat brain cancer just a couple years ago, as I recall, so take from that what you will.
And way to go, les boys. Heard most of the game on the radio. Meat and Nature Boy, Nick Cousins' first point on Meat's goal, first SO of the season for TFS, who'd now just one shy of #29 on that count. GYFHG --SiM
Beautiful news K3X! And she's a lucky lady to have such a caring son. I remember it being very difficult when my folks were starting to fail and I was on the other side of the country. Go MOMofK3X Go!
R.I.P. Gordie.
ReplyDelete2 Years ago, fuck cancer !

I don't wanna work that hard
I want your song in my head
The way you sing it from the heart, yeah"

DeletePoll of the day:
ReplyDelete1. 6
2. 7 of 9
3. 13
I forget who 6 is.
DeleteOn last season's Star Trek Discovery the Captain Pike's No. 1 was Rebecca Romijn, she would get some votes.
For the record, though hard to choose, I gotta go with #2.
