  1. moeman: So I failed to mention my appreciation of the fabulous parody in your prvious post. And today: Peaches!

So anyways, love the painting of TFS. Loved the come-from-behind victory last Saturday. Loving the team portrait, and hoping the Lightning fizzle tonight.

    1. Thx bro.

      Always loved that Peaches song.

The artist is a young Ottawa-based person I follow on Twitter.

I bought her Rocket Richard edition. She made 2 prints, one for me and one for her grandfather.

  3. TFS will need to stand on his head much like the young lady in the last pic to save the Habs tonight. I guess it all depends on which team shows up and ate less turkey yesterday.

  4. I made the mistake of opening the SN main page and the lead story is "How seven former Maple Leafs are doing on new teams in 2019-20". FFS.
I guess if you want to look at it in a positive light, this national sports broadcaster doesn't even try to hide the fact they are basically leaf employees.

As moe says, it'll get worse before it gets better. I just hope that better does get here one day.

  5. R.I.P. Danny Grant.

    1. Grant, a left winger, made his NHL debut playing one game with the Montreal Canadiens in 1965-66. While he only appeared in 22 regular season games, he did help the Habs win the Stanley Cup in 1968, playing in 10 playoff games. He was then traded to the Minnesota North Stars and won the Calder Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year in the 1968-69 season.

R.I.P. He was one of a very few Maritimers to make the NHL in the 60's. A very good player with an accurate shot who Howie Meeker said "could shoot the eyes out of a snake." This was way before the scumbag SFU and their little idol matthews. Mike Bossy and Brett Hull made little auston look like a fucking pee wee player.

Go Habs Go, I'm out tonight, I'll check in later.

  6. maritimer: i try never to miss an opportunity to oppose u. so what if this team does not play heavy? 4 playoff rounds? you bet! imagine going through an entire team of #32s for four rounds! u guys know (remember) who im talking about? they arent big, ok. so what? as long as kidG doesnt concuss himself out of the line-up, others will follow. u said yourself that druid is playing well and at expectations now. thats freaking fantastic and thats what everybody wants isnt it? just play to your potential and everything is gravvvvy.

im gonna wear u down martimer. this team is cup ready. all they gotta do is qualify. jordan smorden binnington. whatever.... if those guys can catch fire, no reason why the team with torches in the dressing room and torches on ice cant do it.

rounds. I didn't say 'too small', speed will only take you so far, they have to grind as well and I honestly don't think they are capable.

  14. I am 100% tired of our captain missing the net on these bombs he's supposed to score on occasionally.

  15. It's to be expected. A talented team was given their lunch to eat by the Fucking Ottawa Senators, and for sure they were too proud to not come here and play their game to a tee. We, my friends, are not good enough to make the playoffs in this division right now.

Long is the season, however, as oleg noted above. This is the time for the rookies to make mistakes. But Tampa does not suck, so...

  16. Caught the last half of the game. Habs had their chances but lacked finish/missed the net on good opportunities too many times. It was at the very least not an embarrassing 7-3 loss.

Never hurts to take a game or two off watching these guys. Good mental health exercise.

  18. The arrogant, ignorant, clueless SFU labeling Matthews as "Mr. October". To compare their wet dream Narco to one of the greatest baseball players of all time is insulting. Reggie Jackson was Mr October because he was clutch in the post season. Narco has done shit in the post-season. Reggie Jackson was, to my knowledge, a class athlete and human. Narco, it appears, is less so. Reggie had a very long and successful career. Let's see how Narco's glass shoulder holds up and how long he stays with the compost heap, how many titles he leads them to and his stacks of personal awards.

So give me Mr. MayJune anyday over the SFU's Mr October. Fuck they're dumb.

Brian Savage used to be known as 'Mr. October" in the mid to late 90's 'cause it was when he did the majority of his scoring for the season. It wasn't a compliment. With all due respect to Brian.

The SFU are fucking clueless. Goes without saying...

    2. Holy shit, that's right! Difference of course being sfu thinking it IS a complement. Dumbfucks.

  19. Okay, Dr Rechii here, our PP has a weak stream, our PK is plugged up, our exoskeltian is not funtioning on all pivot points. My recommendation is trade in all the old equipment for young wippersnappers. For example, Vancouver is all in, BBQ can we say BBQ for that Byron guy, or whatever. He is never going to win the cup in Montreal.
