To the M.: The Pens haven't exactly been on fire offensively since Sid's been out, so you could give Price a go.
You know, I've never seen the M*A*S*H movie. I do recall hearing that Radar's character was the only actor to play both the film and tv version. Gary Burghoff?
I know you can look this stuff up now, but I find these things to be good brain exercises trying to remember things. Father Mulcahey on TV was played by William Christopher...that took me a minute to come up with.
I know I liked it when I saw it 40 years ago. Never re watched it. Both leads where Canadian I think. Looking at Sally Kellerman is like listening to a commercial from the 70's both were better than the music/pin ups we have today.
Alas, poor gCHuk, we hardly knew you. Looks like he will be heading for Mother Russia after this season. Apparently he has million dollar hands and a 10 cent brain. We chastised eMTy for mis-using him and even Coach Julien couldn't teach him what he needed to know. I looked at that 2012 draft and the 1st round was average at best, no superstars to speak of, except the made in Toronto one ORReilly. He, along with Filip Forsberg, Tom Wilson and Vasilevskiy are pretty much it. The top 4 were Yakupov, Ryan Murray, Galchenyuk and Griffin Reinhart, all busts. Just goes to show there's no guarantee an amateur draft will fix your team's woes. I think the league should go with a looser cap system, like baseball, and let the teams with dough buy a contender. Herb Tarlek wouldn't know what to do with himself!
I think gCHuck like Big TiTs was never given a fair shot. Its anti Russian discrimination and the new WOKE NHL will mean future gCHucks will have a stall for their comfort father next to them in the dressing room.
My idea to fix the draft is the bottom 3 teams do not pick in the top ten.
Came in late in the 2nd period ... a beauty move and shot by GI Finn for a goal and a wrap around from... Shea Weber ???!!?? Where did he learn that move ... he's been holdin' out.
Man, bbb sure won that trade after all, what a fall from grace for PFK. I will always hold PK in high regard however, for eliminating the broonz back in the day. He was a beast back then. Maybe all his focus is on Lindsay these days. Can't say I blame him.
Missed the exciting 2nd, tuning into the 3rd to watch them hang the fuck on. Nice to see TFS coming up big when needed. For whatever reason, November seems to be his nemesis and now it's his time to shine.
Didn't see much of Sevy Brutus CHopper guy. I can only assume he's better than Hudon at least.
Okay, like SaintPad here, I also only got to tune in for the third. They did great though. Watching the highlights, I see Nature made a sick feed to poor Cousins, whose cement hands weren't up to the task of finishing the play. But GI Finn looked Juggernautish marching in and willing that puck into the net. Wow. And BBQ must've used some pixie dust on the two slugs he left in his wake (not a phrase one is used to reaching to with BBQ) to score his "NHL '95 Special"

Side note regarding the MASH movie, pretty sure Hawkeye Pierce was played by Saint John born Donald Sutherland.

DeleteLots of nickname options for Barber.
ReplyDeleteNot Bill.
Cutter
Blade
Styles
Sweeney OR Todd from the old tale of the demon barber of fleet street
Or perhaps like me you went through a WWF phase in the 80's. Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake! He had crazy eyes if I recall.
So Brutus?
I was thinking Seville.
DeleteI meant to add that one. Sevy for short.
DeleteThe only CH I could come up with is CHopper. CHopping off hair.
BUZZ
DeleteR.I.P. Jean Pagé
ReplyDeleteWow another coach canned. I might have my moments but I generally consider myself a rather decent human being. Perhaps I can get a coaching gig.

Okay for our nights enjoyment, I am going with Vikings at the top of the rotation, may CHeck it out between oven mitt sessions with Lagaratha.

Peca injured and down, play goes right on. Fucking zebras!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding win. Looks like the team remembered how to play defence. They concentrated on how to not give up 5 goals instead scoring 5 goals.
