  2. The top pic was from an old Canadiens calendar I had when I was about 10 years old, so I'm guessing it was circa 1978 or so. In those days, they wore the white jerseys for home games at the Forum. I figure we could use a little rekindling of the winning spirit from those bygone days. GYFHG!!

Now who wants to ID the hapless Sabres goalie losing his jock on that play? My guess is Bob Sauvé --SiM

    1. Heh, first thing I wondered was who is that goalie and thought "Was Don Beaupré a person? Was he a goalie? Did he play for Buffalo?" If so, that's my guess...but really have no idea.

    2. Otherwise I have no idea....goes off to search hockeydb...hah! Don Beaupre is real and played mostly for the N Stars and Caps. So I was wrong there.

And it looks like Bob Sauvé is the winning answer. Don EDWARDS was the main man in Buffalo at that time.

    3. I thought it might be Edward's too - same caged face-mask, for example - then saw Edwards had worn 29, not 28. Also on those teams: he great Gilbert Perrault. --SiM

Fat Blob's mid-season rankings are out and wouldn't you know it, right where the Habs are currently (and will likely remain) picking are two peewee AAA sized players, Marco Rossi and Cole Perfitti. If that's not in Timmins wheelhouse I don't know what is. Fuck it, take that 6'-3" Russian goalie, you can't have too many good goalies.

  4. KidA/Lip skates in tonight but frankly I am a little worried for him. LB is still a long way off from returning and Druid still out too. But hey, we have Nick Cousins! So Koho sits??? Je ne comprends pas. --SiM

  5. I expect I am not alone in thinking the Blue Osyter Cult dont fear the reaper is my solace.
Tonite we fear the reaper, because a loss will mean, we are done, we have nothing left to do for 30 games except hopefully invigorate the talent for next year. A WIN means we will continue on a delusional path that is the hobgoblin of serious minds. The reaper is going to get us with the swing or the backswing, choose your death.

  6. I am calling Fake news on Kid Ko. This is a development that has hit an ancient burial ground, and needs experts to continue the erection.

Hey! A Win! I am convinced the players aren't the problem. It's the head coach. Get rid of that fucking bearshit stench behind the bench. Benching Kid KoHo is a fucking joke! Ducharme or Joel Bouchard will play the kids. That is all.

  10. Every win with KK and Fleury in the pressbox will do more harm than good for the future of this team. #FireClod

  12. Warning Danger Will Robinson, BTW I absolutely love the new series. The next make or break game on the road to mathematical certainty comes early. 2PM. CHances are I will be in comment mode, GO HABS GO or Dont. I hope for a mythical playoff run, but I wish for a lottery shot at the Ash man.
