  3. Ok got game face on and it moves at 144 HZs like when (Y) unleashed his gun, and destroyed you in place.
I wanna see some hockey, I dont want 3D chess Empty hockey where we win -1 to nothing, math is hard KAREN. Not sure about the audio. I can stomach the SFU for longer than it takes to sing the anthem.
So its I tunes or TSN 690. I cant make a mistake, GO but not really Go to hard, take care of yourself for next season Habs

  4. Well. Here we are. Hockey on August 1st. GYFHG I guess. I can't imagine them winning a game but who the hell knows what might happen in these strangest of times.

oleg from the previous thread, nice rant. You may misunderstand, I will never cheer for this team to lose. As the M and SiM I think put it so well already, there is no need to expand. Bottom line I just don't think they match up against a far superior Pens team and are not built for the playoffs especially after selling at the deadline. Maybe they will '93 this and surprise us all. Let's just go!

I just turned the TV on and first thing I hear is the voice of hugesimpleton. Nope. Volumn goes to zero. I can listen to the voice of the great Danny Gallivan in my head.

No booze for me tonight, I've been dieting since July 1, so far have dropped 6 lbs, another 15 to go should take about another two months or so.

And if FHFriend oleg points out that Chicago walloped the Oil this afternoon, I would point out that Chicago still have Toews and Kane. The Habs have nothing similar to that. The Hawks also have somebody named Kubalik, the Habs don't have that either. Cheers!

  8. holy crap. you guys all responded! ahhaha.

hey M: what you said in that last post is entirely correct. everything you listed there are indeed facts and i definitely dont argue against that. in fact, since the introduction of the loser pt system, team wins are actually inflated!

my stubborn refusal to face those said facts is that DJT was never supposed to win that election. the last guy to make team canada has no business winning the norris, buster douglas was a soupcan, GER 6-1, NYG ruined the perfect season, leicester city, WSH was supposed to sweep in 4, PGH was supposed to sweep in 4...

things seldom go according to plan. raise your expectations brothers. dont let promises of tomorrow cheapen your tolerance for what the leaves accept.

  70. So 8.00 pm eastern starts are a bit tough for me to watch given that translates to 1.00 am over here. Full highlight package on nhl.com is the best I can do. Starting my Sunday with a cup of tea and a Habs win (in August!) is pretty cool. From what I saw, the Habs played a very strong forecheck (they dominated the highlights shown - this is usually the indicator with NHL.com - I didn’t like the penalty shot call for either team, although the hook on Druid was a bit more clear cut.. Oddly the replays didn’t show the actual penalty shots - assumed they both missed...Dish was poised on his game winner. So nice start to the series. So two missed penalty shots must be some kinda first for a playoff game...Another “first”...being referred to as a poindexter...but I suppose a family can hurl stuff like that around here. Just for the record, no one is happier than I am when the Habs win. As I said, I want them to win every game they play. Some part of me believes that they should always win - because they are the greatest team, the greatest sports franchise in the history of all sports. I don’t really truly “cheer” for any other team in any sport. I moved to the UK in 95 and decided to “support” Arsenal FC. I have been a “Gunner” now for 25 years. Yesterday afternoon they won the FA Cup for a record 14th time. I watched that game, willed them on to win and was happy when they did. But if they had lost, I wouldn’t have felt nearly as bad as I know I feel if the Habs lose a game or, even worse, a final for the Stanley Cup. So I’m tasking this new season the way I did all year long...JFW...GYFHG!

    Well, that was ... unexpected.

Didn't watch OT, it was getting too late for this senior citizen. Funny how so many of the brain dead talking heads and lots of Montreal fans were advocating to trade Jeff Petry back in February. For the record, I never, ever thought that should happen. That guy is money in the bank in OT.

I'm happy for our tree hugging hippie west coast FHFriend oleg, he is on another, err, high at the moment... enjoy oleg! I still think Pitt wins the series.

Finally, K3X, I watched a movie back in 2001 called Formula 51 starring Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Carlyle set in Liverpool, England. Since then I've adopted Liverpool FC as my Premier League team. Jurgen Klopp is the best coach in the league and with Mo Salah they are a fun team to watch. Go Reds!

  76. I've added an image up top.

Woke up this morning to check the national sports stories on a supposed Canadian website (they use the .ca ). I wasn't surprised that tsn would push or go out of their way to ignore the Habs victory. I took the screenshot on an iPad Pro 11 at 6:36am. I had to scroll down a few more screen inches to see the story. I've mentioned before that the ex sports editor at the G&M was in charge and a few years back had run ins with him about leaf bias and disregard for the Habs. He has been running tsn's web pages for about 4+ years. Part of the SFU.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Suzuki's goal is one of the nicest Habs goals in a while.

TFS, a great puck handler, clears it from behind his net with a nice wrister, the puck gets caught up at the blue line, Nature Boy takes it from the Pen, skates down the wing, enters the Pen zone while keeping an eye on his linemate and then lays into a sick wrist shot where 29 keeps the bourbon.

    ReplyDelete
  78. hey maritimer... yeah, im still pretty high but uncle justin said it was ok last year. so im smoking that instead of drinking john molson jr-jr-jr's cool-aid. thnx for the nod, but what im looking for are sign-ups. i will convert you. all five of you dammit. if St.P agrees to watch all matches after 3rd period in punjabi, he can have a pass.

thnx for hte answer to tsar. for some reason i always associate that to ppl from czechoslovakia. sorry. im an idiot with history of places far away ill never get to see.

speaking of tsar... winninghabit says CC should have been called-in and inserted into these play-ins. now that im caught up on tsar... i totally agree. why the hell not!?! BBB/jabba got some explaining to do.

winninghabit also says Jewls should be in X-Man's spot. watching him get b*-ed over by sid on that child's play makes me agree. waaaaay too soft. waaaaay too stupid not to have anticipated that play.

another observation: i totally forgot the d-men on this team regularly took a gander in the offensive zone this year. very happy to see kadilac pick a moment and take a spin in downtown pigsville before dish took his initiative.
