  1. yeah moe! you took two of them@!

67 posts on the last match. thats a good way to end gm2. though it was hard to watch (until the 3rd), we were all hoping for a sucker punch. now on home ice with mdm reno singing, the torch kids and all announcements, in both languages, everything will be different!

no need for a sucker punch tonight. just a simple uppercut KO!tkenemi let go boys! go get em!

martimer: good idea to stuff em in the closet. you think cpt kirk is ready?

This is the game WE dreamed of, a small underdeveloped team facing a colonial power. Buttman ready on the telephone. Its going to be x and O where the board is rigged. Fight hard my Habbies, never surrender, never stop dreaming, buttman there is a reality. You have to be 4 times better than the system to win in the way we play.

  4. I gotta face the scorn and desersion of the holi poli for saying, tranna pulled out some big Chesnuts
and will now defeat the Blue Jacks. I am happy with this outcome, because that team of hockey players, does not need another one.

of exploration and sin, and I was a willing participant because of the devil. I let my robes down for the wrong people, thinking aboot how I could save them, not deprave them.

We play this game like Gods tonite, maybe a bad score but still a meaningful score.

simpson is correct. pk was waaaaaay too passive compared to how on their a$$ the pens were killing their penalty

    ReplyDelete
  26. antoher question: if you score while on a delayed penalty, the penalty isnt called. how come bbq still had to go!? dont get me wrong.... ive always felt this way was more fair, but did they just change the rule :04 ago?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It's just because there was already somebody in the box. So that penalty ends instead.

That said, I've actually asked the question to media and hockey folks why do they generally cancel a penalty if a goal is scored on a delayed penalty? They're always looking for more scoring. A delayed penalty and the offended team can pull the goalie until the opposing team touches the puck or they score. Why not still issue the penalty? Really, what has changed? Should be able to score on a delayed penalty and still get the PP.

  27. i dont know if you guys are watchin or not, but the boys are playing gooder tn. lots of positive play
ex: meat doing a great rush all by himself, boys going hard to the net, GIJoel only sucking 1/2 as much as he did last game

    ReplyDelete
  28. Some good play, but I still find the poor/missed passes are one of their bigger issues. Hope they find themselves a bubble not urologist between periods.

  60. I've been reading some of the Pens 'fans' comments. Man are they piling on Jack Johnson. Apparently it's all his fault and if he dresses tomorrow, the entire management team should be tarred and feathered. Guess I wasn't paying too close attention to the guys on that side of the puck, but he makes XO sound like Chelios in comparison.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He was -3 and his TOI was 16 minutes and change (least of the D). Hey, their fans expect quality in that spot. Good for them.

      Delete
  61. and somebody on melnyk in afternoon said hed be very surprised domini resigns in the off season. i didnt catch his reasoning, but i think he was saying domini has largely disappointed. who was he? is he on drugs? was he joking?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. ok, they replayed it again. i caught most of it this time. this idiot guy said domini is likely to sign with somebody else unless
      - he gets to play permanently at wing
      - he gets to play permanently at centre (sorry, i forget which one)

still... i think he is an idiot. he made a comparison to CHuyk so i think he has insider knowledge. can anybody comment on this? it would stink to lose one of the team's most talented players!

      Delete
    2. Domini has to much PK he is out

      Delete
    3. Somebody good will have to be sacrificed to the Kraken. Domini might not be up to speed, which would explain his limited role so far. Not destined to remain like this. I hope CJv2 is flexible again tomorrow on switching things up. I think Malkin will score a hattie on us one way or another. He's just too much of a beast not to.

      Delete
    4. the same notion that got PFK traded, that found PatCHes wanting has now looked at Domini and found he is a nut that has not fallen to far from the tree.

      Delete
    5. Indeed! The laws of serendipity are unknown to us mortals. They give us a Dish or an LB sometimes. All the right pieces in all the right places is a tricky wicket. Thank goodness, or being human would be even more dreary.

      Delete
    6. what are you guys talking about? is domini causing trouble inside the room? his worst attribute is his diabetes! you cant fault him for THAT!

      Delete
    7. no oleg, perhaps I wasn't clear. I mean, only that Domini might not be in 100% game form yet to put in lots of minutes effectively, having missed practice with the team, and getting SFA exercise in that time.

      Delete
  62. Okay I cried tears of joy seeing Nature and Kid Ko in the crucible leave with victory. That has been a long time comming and maybe they can not repeat it today, but for tommorrwo, we are a force, a force of good a shutdown the SFU weapon of mass destructon.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The Canadiens are where they are because all (except Tuna?) are putting in their A games at the same time. If they get past the Pens, they might have enough gas to win one more series, but it's all on the young guns and CJv2's ability to forsake his natural instincts and actually play them.

I hope EAP and CHud play tomorrow. I doubt anyone (even CHip) will not be in the line-up, however.

I hope Domini gets more TOI too. I am afraid John Fraser, that one-time federal Fisheries Minister, has returned to form, and tainted our Tuna! Something is off with him. All kidding aside, he looks like the Tomas Tatar the Vegas Golden Showers got when they traded for him at the deadline; which leads me to think he can't stand living in a hotel room or something.

    ReplyDelete
  64. and another thing...

PFK trade for BBQ is looking just fine right now.
CHariot of Eggs' story is a good one (almost Kid G/Lip-like) Draft: 2009 ATL, 4th rd, 28th pk (119th overall) -- Habs first pick was Round One, at #19, Louis Leblanc. At pick #79 they took defenseman Mac Bennett and #109 Alexander Avtsin.

    Meanwhile, X-man was Draft: 2011 DET, 2nd rd, 18th pk (48th overall)

And Meat: Draft: 2016 MTL, 4th rd, 9th pk (100th overall)

I don't know how you can be an NHL defenseman at 5'9" in today's game, but Meat gets in the line-up while six-footers Jewels, Folin and Cale-i-Flower all sit.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. EAP has to learn not to skate like a slinky, same thing almost the killed Le Brow. EAP can skate fine, just cant hold on to the puck at the same time

      Delete
    2. so your post there SiM is that the draft is an unreliable place to confirm talent? you are saying guys get overrated and underrated at the draft? you are saying nothing, nobody is gauranteed to develop like their projections? you are saying its a stupid idea to ever tank for the draft if you have a chance at the dance?

      .... THANK-YOU!

  66. We also have Olofsson, who is 6'2" as a left-handed D option. I don't know why X-Man and Meat are being kept in the line-up. I expect Weal to be back in Evans' place and no other changes to the winning line-up (barring injuries or sickness). That's just Claude's way.
