  10. Let's start with the obvious...Thanks Moeman for keeping this blog going. It was fun having a 10 game stint of posts to follow on my phone...and IN AUGUST! I hope it returns whenever it is that the 20/21 season starts - October? January? No idea how they are going to play an entire season in a bubble. As for what has come before, it was a pretty shit season (playoffs excluded). The Habs traded away the guys they could have used in the playoffs (Uncle Nate is a face-off machine!) and the future does look bright. They aren't yet built for the playoffs but let's see what happens. I, like many others, have no issue with whatever position we draft in. It's a crap shoot and CJ hates kids (mostly...or until they actually score a shit load). So we will get whatever is left, and a boat load more. BBB has some work to do and I don't expect our future includes Domi. BBB hung him out with the wet wash in his end of season presser. I'm not worried about that. I am worried he insults Dish and we never see him and his cute kids (and wife) again. He won't get any more money so hopefully the stuff he says about being at home in Montreal counts for something. Druid I could give or take. I'm on record as not being his greatest fan. That being said, there is something to be said about chemistry and if he has some with Natureboy then he should stay. Apart from that he's a floater. BBB needs to get a really good back-up goalie (Crawford/Fleury), let Cayden play in Laval for a year and see what happens. I figure that TFS has a couple really good years left in the tank (if he gets some rest along the way) so the future, my FHFriends - is pretty much with us now. That's my take for the summer on the team we love so dearly. As for you guys, as always it's been fun. Our ranks have thinned somewhat, but, sparked by the occasional guest appearances by 29 and Moey and some late season shit stirring by my buddy Oleg (still reeling from being referred to as a "poindexter") I think it has been a lot of fun keeping in touch. So hopefully we'll all be back at some point later in the year when the NHL decides exactly what they are gonna do about 20/21.

Thanks again Moe! Stay cool..Tweet ya during the summer break!! Everyone stay safe and wear a fucking mask!

    Go You Fucking Habs Go!

I've been contemplating the boycott by the NBA players and also the WNBA players along with some baseball and MLS I guess but here's the thing. I get what they are trying to do but I don't see how anything will change until the racist police are weeded out of the system. It would take forever to do that if at all. Where do you start? How do you start? I'm honestly puzzled about this. You can't make people not be racist anymore. I sure hope somebody smarter than me can figure it out, and soon. Now I may be misinformed but in the latest case they tased him, and he said he was going for the knife in his car. Okay you can shoot him in the leg, kick him in the nuts or use the baton and knock him senseless. That would have been the correct decision. However the cop panic and shot him 7 times in the back. They are only interested in two things, power and getting rid of any unilingual anglophones who might still be in any position of authority.

I recorded last night's Canucks game, I'm actually watching it right now. They do have a great core, Elias Petterssen is a star.

It seems mini Max has played his last game as a Canadien. It's too bad, I really liked the kid, he played with heart and like the previous player who wore #13 (Squid) he understood the meaning of wearing the sainted flannel. It seems he couldn't adjust to playing the wing and chafed under the current coach. It seems there are several suitors for his services, it should make for interesting rumours. Speaking of rumours, it seems there are a few scoring wingers who could be available for the right price, Taylor Hall, who would just cost money and maybe Patrick Laine, would he like to join the Finnish contingent in Montreal?

anyways... St.P, the ppl in the lower mainland (thats what we call greater vcr), everybody flies the cuck flag, but if you go ask them to name 4 players, they would give you linden, bester, luongo, peterson. some might say beau horvath, and and equal number would think you are making up stripper names. the smaller cities are much better, but even they would struggle to give you correct jersey numbers.

on the whole, the province has largely returned to normal. ppl say and do all the right things, but its the economy, stupid. nothing is more important than that so all stores are open with this half-hearted attempt to mitigate this pandemic. for the record, the province recorded the highest number of new cases back to back wknds.

i know this is true for the AB PHO also but our PHO is a total rock star. she is more popular than bullets at a trump rally. shes stylish but classy, knowledgeable but not condescending, soothing and not irritating - basically complete opposite to dr. tam.

  30. great deal to acquire JA! ive always felt draft picks are not worth very much so ive always felt protecting these was overvalued. ask any fan who pays attention and he will admit an equal number of gems turn up in the early rounds than the late ones.

domini i really love. mainly for the exact same reasons Maritimer said above. it just seems that if you care to win too much, you wear out your welcome like squid was. if carey didnt play like a star struck fan boy to his childhood idol, im convinced domini woulda become our squid this playoff run.

answer me this you guys... why is it so dang important for a player to play his hockey card position? after the face-off, you go anywhere and everywhere. it would completely idiotic to limit your skating lanes to just what you are listed as, so whats the big deal with requiring domini (and others) to play their positions? when on offence, improvising, criss-crossing, taking up opposite angles is precisely what you do to mess up the defenders. so why limit max to misery by only allowing him to be a centre? another example of wasting a talent if they ship him out.

other rumours ive heard on the radio is EDM would take domini plus something for RNH.
if domini has to go, i also like him and druid for laine

This is more of a goalie tandem than starter/back up. Both are seasoned veterans, it's all good.

    1. the city is dressed in blue and green. if u just arrived from mars, you would think this place is like mtl where it breathes canadiens after may. i stumble into a pub and its intermission. lotsa ppl outside smoking. thats typical right?

3rd period starts and a goal is scored. the ppl inside jump, holler, cheer and are high-fiving. the crowd outside runs in and this guy wearing a linden black skate jersey asks: so they tied it up??????? (w/ hopeful eyes).

TELL ME! WOULD THIS TICK YOU GUYS OFF IF SITUATION HAPPENED IN MTL? DOES THIS EVEN HAPPEN WHERE U GUYS ARE? are there these types of fans where you live? these so called die-hards cant even...?!?! arrrrrgh! fml i hate these ppl

    2. same night. same pub. after #1 happened, another group stumbles in. two of em are wearing cuck jerseys. this is a crappy lil pub so theres lotsa seats available. they catch the 3-0 goal, and the final 4-0 goal and they all jump around hooting and hollering like theyve been here since the beginning. i know for sure that group couldnt name numbers to players beyond 4! whats worse, is nobody called em out for it. nobody who was there previously gave any a glare or anything!

    3. td, few mins ago. guy wearing markstrom jersey. i go up to him and pull-pull my own t-shirt and give him a nod. i ask: 'what happenes if you guys win tn?' he replies: 'well, if they win, they go on to the next round' WELL, DUH YOU DUMBASS! YOU THINK IM SOME DUMB AMERICAN FROM OLAKHOMA OR SOMETHING?! ARRRRRGH!

to fill in his oblivion, i tell him: 'no! i mean your goalkeeper!' he comes back at me with: 'oh, no, its demko tn'

NOOOOOOOOO YOU PUTZ! now im really fed up, so i say it to him straight up so he doesnt kill anymore of my braincells. i say it to him as blunt as i can: MARKSTROM! WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT HIM?! he says: 'uh... i dont get it. what do you mean?'

fml... there you go guys. three separate perfect examples of why cuck fans are the worst and perfectly good reasons why i love hating the sports fans of this town. in case you wondering, they do this each year with the seahawks too. makes me wanna barf....

  47. So I've been dipping in and out of highlights as the playoffs continue. Have y'll noticed the new "SweetSpot" in the league is now top shelp just to the left or right ear of the goalie . All goalies are great at getting over and stacking their pads and pressing against the post. The only space they leave, as they are kneeling, is the little space between their ear and the goalpost/cross bar. A lot more goalies are gonna get hit in the face next season as the snipers aim for that sweet spot on a one-timer, mark my words! But it will force them to stand a little taller which is something I have always thought TFS should do - he is 6'3 after all. We might also see some of the keepers opting for thicker should pads to gain an advantage - you watch - it's gonna happen! If I was so inclined I would patent new goalie chest protector with high padded shoulders...You guys have read it here first!!

According to the fried man, bbb is checking to see if Danno is worth a bag of pucks. Letang to Montreal? Arizona will be a bottom feeder and won't want to pay Taylor Hall. Lots of options out there as bbb has plenty of cap space and cash. No more excuses bergy.

"We"? Fuck you Kate. WeTheNorth is tranna generated bullshit. Down here in the Maritimes the Celtics would be the more followed team. I'm a Knicks fan... if I still followed basketball. Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley and John Starks were my guys. Michael Jordan's Bulls denied a lot of great players a championship ring.

Hey oleg, I remember Spike Lee at those Knick's home games. I think he got into it with Jordan verbally a few times back in the day. The Dance is a great documentary.

I like the Edmunson pickup by ol' bargainbin. A recent Cup winner with the Blues (along with Jake the Snake) it seems bergy is trying to bring some winning experience to his loser Habs. Joel is a big boy, 6-4, 215lbs, teams may find the Habs D tough to deal with Weber and Chariot back there as well. Those two were really nasty in the playoffs(ins). Somebody else to keep the cryders away from Price. That's if they can even sign him.

  58. Good football game betwixt moe and the Maritimer's teams. Hoping for the Steelers simply because my terrible fantasy team needs points from their TE Ebron. Oh, and because David Tyree...

Congrats to Mr Higgs and the Conservatives on his majority win in NB. I watched a few of the debates and it was clear that my cousin Mr Vickers (whom I've never met by the way) was out of his league. And I don't know if he was coached or that's his normal public speaking way, but it wasn't good. Looks like he lost to an Alliance candidate even. Hope he just decides to enjoy his retirement.

Ah yes, David Tyree, I'll never forget that catch.

Kevin Vickers really didn't have a chance, he couldn't win his own riding but how could he really? He just moved back after over 30 years away, the people didn't know him. He was appointed leader of a Liberal party left in disarray by the incompetent Brian Gallant and no one who was an MLA would even step up to the plate. They tried the old ploy of trying to buy their way into power but the people of New Brunswick were having none of it. So, the francophones in the north stuck to their guns and will sit on the sidelines for the next 4 years. The linguistic divide remains as wide as ever, and with a 90% failure rate in the immersion program it will remain for generations to come.

Now, back to football... GO GIANTS!!!!

    2. As a Giants fan do you cringe everytime Saquon decides to hurdle a tackler? Man you get hit the wrong way mid air doing that and could cause some serious damage. He's fun to watch though, should be getting fed a lot more in my opinion...and I don't have him in fantasy.

    2. Makes sense...but does it make financial sense for the teams if there are no fans...you know that old song - "if there ain't no audience, there ain't no show..." I know that TV revenue is important but hockey is a tough enough sell in some of the states without it being all virtual. They will have the battle to get fans back if they waited a year anyway - so I do wonder how viable running a season without the fans really is...

  61. 📲 As announced yesterday, iOS 14 (and iPadOS 14) are available today and downloadable as of now. I recommend upgrading when you have the time and if your current iPhone and/or iPad supports this major release https://www.apple.com/ca/ios/ios-14/. Remember to do your backup beforehand. This is the MAJOR annual update and it has a lot of new features, namely Home Screen customization on iPhone, built-in translation, privacy/security updates, better CarPlay, an even better Safari and new User Interface options. Apps across the board see some new features too. New iPads were announced yesterday and new iPhones should be announced sometime in October. 👍🏻

Lots of veteran players are going to be looking for jobs when the new season begins. I read they are ALL going to play for the putrid leaf. Guess those same wretched leaf are lobbying for unlimited cap space for them alone so they can sign all these players.

In other news, Tiger Woods apparently can't shoot in the low 70's at Winged Foot unlike a certain orange skinned prez aka the commander-in-cheat. Glad I don't have to watch Woods every shot this weekend even when he's 10 strokes behind. Good luck to Adam Hadwin though and I hope somebody other than the unlikeable Patrick Reed wins.
