Thanks K3X for mentioning Carey's 350th win, as hahaHrudey said last night that's a big milestone for a goalie. Well don Carey! On to 400!
I seem to remember after bergy signed Joel Edmundson some fucking leafool commenters trashing the signing saying he was no better than a 7th defenceman meanwhile they were crowing about Dumbass signing washed up Zach Bogosian who couldn't even make the Sabres lineup and was eventually sent to the AHL before being picked up as a depth player for Tampa. I wonder what those fucking idiots are saying now? After last night big JEd proved how good he is. That 190 footer dead center into the empty net was spectacular! Plus he won the fight unanimously!
So much positivity regarding the Habs now. Five straight games at home coming up, time to make some hay!
Yep the first couple were funny when they were new...
A Rod deserves another SB after the season he had. Don't care if Brady wins again or not but also think Bruce Arians has been at this a loooong time...
I'm a Mahomes fan and Bills are AFC East enemies...but I like Josh Allen, and though a Pat's fan I was a closet Flutie fan when he was with the Bills. Do I'm basically good with any matchup and any winner. Quite the fence sitter...
I'm OK with Aaron Rogers winning another. I'm also OK with the Bills winning, they've never won have they? I know they went to the SB 4 times in a row back in the 90's but never won...
GOAT's in the mix again. OK so we're all a little sick of the championships and the money and the hot wife but damn he can play. Nuff said. Hoping for a great game. So The Munster is on my Christmas list along with his left hand. I lamented last week about him and the KK line. So I stand corrected. Just read today some SFU story about how the Undefeated Glorious Habs just might be the team to give the leaf some competition .... what colour is the sky in their world. Really. I know it's early so I give a nod to The View From Nebraska where he notes that this is the time of year when the leaf start to plan the parade ... Head down people stay focused. Go Habs
I'd take Matthew Tkachuk in my team any day. Leaf media all up in arms about him 'falling' on their goalie. When asked about it he asks which one are they complaining about now? Beauty.
Biased toronto media assholes. Don't crosscheck OUR auston matthews. Don't fall on OUR goalies. But, OUR defencemen are allowed to illegally crosscheck a rookie star and injure him even if the puck is nowhere near him (Stutzle).
I was thinking how Suzuki has a point in every game. We often lament how long it's been since we've had a 40 goal scorer. Well I wondered how long since we've had a point per game player? I thought Kovalev might have made it. Close but this ain't horse shoes or hand grenades. Koivu? Nope. Again, close, but...so we need to go all the way back to the 95/96 season when Turgeon and Damphousse each did it. We all know what happened that year. Some call it the curse of Roy. I call it the curse of Tremblay, and fear that as long as he's alive we're doomed to mediocrity at best. BTW gotta go back 2 more years to get those 40 goals and back to 87/88 for Richer's 50 goal performance. I had him in my hockey pool that year!
Hey, old news now, but Tyder was star of the week. Nice 73-ing, dude. Hattie for Patches last night brings him to seven goals on the season. Happy for him. Domini only two helpers so far on his new team. GI Finn skated with a trainer yesterday so that tells me he might not be put of action too long with any luck. Big test tomorrow night against a very good and balanced Flames team. Smells like '89. --SiM
Yes indeed! Thanks for picking up the spare, moeman. Hey, did something happen in Pittsburgh? Is the heat on in Steeltown? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3Veko70OfQ
HAHAHA - for Meat, a second-rounder and Dano for instance? Cap issues aside, it would bring another teammate in from the Olympic Gold winners, so there's that.
I am worried about the Canadian divison, early days but its clear on Montreal Toronto and the Peg have NHL teams at the moment. So playing this weak competion will build confidence for sure, but when we meet a real hockey team what will happen?

ReplyDeleteLooking like GOAT vs the Kid next week. KC have so many weapons, took them mere minutes to make up for Hardman's gaff.

leafools have been dreaming in technicolor since 1967.
DeleteNHL: Tyler Toffoli of the Montreal Canadiens is the 1st star of the week.
ReplyDeleteSFU: But but how can that be? A leaf is always more better...
They think he still plays for Vancover

ReplyDeleteI want Toronto in full panic mode.
ReplyDeleteIt's still early. This year January is October for the wretched leaf. They are always annointed the Cup in October.
