  1. 11PM and 1030PM - too late for this fella. Maybe 1 period. Actually considered taking Friday off and stay up late for the Thursday game, but I only get 7 weeks vacation...

Yep, way too late a start for this senior citizen. As much as I despise Bell, I like my pvr. Record the game, get up at my leisure, grab a bowl of mini wheats, a cup o' java and watch them play.

  3. Nicely done St. Pad. Not gonna be on line tonight either...only because I gotta get up to work from home...Spend my life on Teams calls but it is what it is. JUST FUCKING WIN! GYFHG!

  4. I should have moved to Vancouver when I was old enough to move. But I did not but my daughter now lives in Victoria.
Its going to be 5 to one Habs.
We dont even need to say Go Habs Go anymore

  5. With NHL teams trying to wring out every bit of cap space, we are seeing players being moved to taxi squads. Top players. The Montreal Canadiens have out Jesperi Kotkaniemi on the taxi squad to gain Cap Space. He has a $925,000 salary cap hit, so the Habs save around 8k day that they keep Kotkaniemi on the taxi squad..

Kotkaniemi is on a one-way contract, so while the Habs save cap space, they still pay Jesperi his full salaries.

Why are the Habs doing this? Perhaps it is just to make sure they have as much room as possible down the line....but at least two sources today have implied the Canadiens may be up to something else here...Dubois?

“Not yet” a source replied via text. They have something more immediate today they are working on.

I am calling around to try and find out more...so stay tuned...
I am on the record KidKo and a first for Picard, and not a cent more

  12. Well there. Mudryk confirmed that Tsar wants his name pronounced Ro-Man-Off

    ReplyDelete
  13. So as confirmed that while Habs D will take cross checking penalties if they touch anybody, kidA will never draw one. Took one high on the chest/neck area right in front of Wanker and no call.

  14. Great, more BS penalty calls. Definitely heading to bed after 1 tonight.

Tyder! hahhahahah! i love it. fantastic stuff! who coined that? was it martimer doing the honours for his countrymen?

i just did the most epic troll job to all my fairweather cancuk friends.
    1. prematch, i sent them this photo:
    https://montreal.ctvnews.ca/toffoli-scores-overtime-winner-to-lead-canucks-over-canadiens-4-3-1.4827910
and i put in a comment that something just doesnt seem right about this photograph. when you score, you are supposed to be jumping around super happy.

    2. it would have been better had they finished it properly, but i sent them this photo afterwards anyways:
    https://hockey30.com/nouvelles/selon-un-journaliste-de-los-angeles-tyler-toffoli/
and i put in a comment: now thats they tyler i like to see smiling!

living out here, it always feels great to be hated the next morning.

is it just me or is Tyder always smiling and thoroughly enjoying himself wherever, whenever? love that attitude.

itjmo2... does kidG always get shafted (in the mouth)?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well a loser point is more than I thought they'd get after watching the 1st.
Toffee (aka Tyder) with a hattie against his former team is nice.
Nice to see KK get on the board.
Penalties again their undoing. That is not sustainable. Not sure how the officiating was after the first, but they need to find a way to stay out of the box.
Speaking of penalties, I think the 5-5 tying goal by the Canucks is a direct result of Weber being afraid to take one by removing Petterson from in front of Carey Price. He knows if he touches him he goes to the box.

Hopefully Le Serpent de Pomme has a better night than TFS.

    ReplyDelete
  31. the Maritimer12:15 PM

Yeah, I pretty much agree with what was said above. Price not good, too many penalties, a valiant effort however. Two things I will add, Drouin is useless and Tatar is sneaky good.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Too many penalties and shitybreffing did us in. Move on... JUST FUCKING WIN BABY!

    ReplyDelete
  33. the Maritimer4:09 PM

Another too late start for me so I'll just say it now: STAY OUT OF THE PENALTY BOX FFS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. KidKo has to stop embellishment. I know he can stand up when a 220 lb d man crosschecks him in the face.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I hear and see that Le Habs are the only team in the Canadian Softbank Sociabank Rodgers Bell divison that can really play NHL defence.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I know how to take fewer penalties. Put on Leaf or Boston sweaters.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 1 period for me tonight. Somehow figure out how to stay invisible to the refs and all should be good.

    ReplyDelete
  38. And the penalty box parade begins...

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh look a BS call to end the period. Might stick around for half the 2nd

    ReplyDelete
  40. Shorty for Tyder!!!!!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  55. Hope Army is ok.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Ditto on GIJoel/Army's health. And I hope Myers isn't suspended for that hit. Prior to that he took 3 lazy penalties for interference. Even if the Habs can't score on the PP all of a sudden, it's still a boost and keeps them even at best, so perhaps it's better to have him in the lineup...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Rest In Peace Hank Aaron .

    ReplyDelete
  58. the Maritimer1:00 PM

That was a dirty blindside hit on GI Finn. Myers will be gone for a couple at least.

Just finished watching the Habs demolish an undermanned Knucklehead team. I expect more of the same Saturday night and the Van players should keep their heads up when approaching the Habs end.

Is it just me or does it seem the Habs are getting more favorable bounces than usual? The puck seems to be following certain players I've noticed.

    ReplyDelete
  59. the Maritimer1:02 PM

RIP Hank Aaron the true homerun king.

  66. the Maritimer6:02 PM

I don't want any changes to the defence. This is why they signed Perry and Frolik.

If the Habs stay out of the sin bin I don't see Van giving them much trouble. I wonder how many of the sfu leaf fanboy hacks saw the Habs coming home from a 6 game road trip with at least 8 points? Answer: none.

    2. Part of the NHL's explanation was: "the head was NOT [emphasis: theirs] main point of contact..."

...to which I replied: "So, a wicked blindside headshot that causes a serious concussion and knocks the player off his feet crashing to the ice is perfectly fine as long as some other portion of his body took an even harder impact? Plsyer safety my ass!" Complete joke. --SiM

  69. Nickname for Perry: the Commodore, sfter his namesake, a hugely impactful historical figure, who bullishly shook Tokugawa Japan out of its 300-year peaceful isolation from the Western world, and set them on a course that greatly influenced world history.

  104. Both Kid Ko and Czar especially seem to be getting better every game. So I think its time to start to worry about cap space. Remember the good old days when we had 6 or 7 million to carry around, how can we get back there?
I would offer both Dano and Tuna Taaatar 8 year deals at 3.5 each thats a 5 year at 5.6 M. Pay all the money up front as a bonus and its taxed at 15%. Basicly keep kicking the can down the road and let expected raises in the cap take care of the decimal places. I also think its time we had a franchise player exemption. Its stupid to have a so called professional league where 5 or 6 teams are essentially just black holes that develop players.
