So Meat is in, TFS in the Nets and the Habs will be in White. I'll take that. I'm gonna eat early - My son runs a local burger chain so he's buying tonight. Fully loaded Dirty Burger and chips. Loaded! With a couple McEwan's Export, should put me in the right frame. We have snow on the ground and it's Saturday night. Let's go bitches!
Going to support local and try a local pizza place that I hear has the best gluten free pizza money can buy, for my celiac family members...I might get extra gluten on mine.
With six off days to follow, there is no excuse for not playing hard as hell and leaving it all out on the ice tonight. I expect a battle. Two goals for Dano. I challenge him. And TFS will bring it too. They all know what Mtl media will do with six days to slap them around otherwise. GYFHG --SIM
Decided to take things into my own hands and pre-play tonight's game in the PS4. I'm not great at video game hockey but there is a fine line...if I play in the semi-pro level I can almost score at will. If I play at the next level up (Pro) I generally have a tough time even getting shots in goal. But to keep it realistic I went with Pro. I put Meat into the lineup for realism. Got off to a great start. Lip got a goal in the fist minute! 2 goal lead about 4 minutes in with a nice slapper by Munster. 2nd period and Tuna makes it 3-0! Uh oh a penalty near the end and it's 3-1...and another leaf PP just before the buzzer. 3rd period starts with a nice kill...but another penalty! But wait, it's Leko with a shorty and a 4-1 lead! Some serious leaf pressure and great savea by TFS before Tuna pots his 2nd for a 5-1 lead! And that's how she ended. Each team had 28 shots on goal. Leafs 3 PPs to none for the Habs. Considering I can usually rarely score more than 1 goal at this level I take it as a sign of thins to come.
Whjat. What just what. All the pundits all the supermen who are President and aquitted dont know. They dont know what is going to happen tonite. I hope the brain trust that has seen the flying frenchmen grounded has new GPS point to bring this win into landing. Anyway the Leaf are deadly filled like a over cream donut with top end talent. So it is our job as a bunch of recruits from the dumpster dive to play them, play them and play them, until they are broken like winning little girls who are crying because they did not get a pony for thier birthday.
I see gCHuk was traded again today. Man, how many teams has he been on now? Five by my count. Arrogant Fuckface ruined that kid. His father didn't help matters either. And, didn't one of his teammates get him in trouble with some pretty late night partying involving questionable substances? It's too bad, I thought he had great skill and would be a darn good player. Ended up like the TiTs bros., on the NHL scrap heap.
Fact is... Habs are playing for shit. Who cares how many hits they get if they can't hold onto the puck... Which they can't... Soni don't know... Something has to change
Not got the inclination to remain awake until the end of this sjit show to see the Habs take a penalty at 17. 43, the lose 3-0,Thamks for the feed Moe. A prochain...
The first ten games they were skating through the neutral zone with ease and getting more odd man rushes than I'd seen in the last 4 years. Obviously, somebody noticed and the opposition started watching video to counteract. Montreal's coaching staff have not adjusted. Throw it in the corner of the weakest leaf D and go get it. You have speed fucking use it. It ain't rocket science. They are going to get shut out 2 games in a row and Andersen won't even break a sweat. Pathetic.
here is the call on the final goal. Matthews Austin Mattews is on the ice, Mattews does not have the puck, Austin Mattews looks sad, but he did have a front row seat to see the puck go into the net.
Extremely glad to have been proven wrong. Great win over the fucken leaf. Still things to work on but a rest is as good as a change...i think that's how it goes... Never mind. What it also shows is that if you stay outta the box you give yourself a chance. 1 penalty all game. That's my kind of reffin'
the first period was coached using the Chocula playbook the second they found the Empty files. only in the third did they find the Powerhorse game that they started the season with. A TFS win.
Tuna Sauce scratched last night, Lb scratched last Wed. and now on waivers. Something in the wind perhaps? They do have a full week off. Interesting at least.
And how many days since losing to a Zamboni driver? Forum ghosts seem to be writing the script right now. I'll pay for another full season of these episodes, thank you! --SiM
I like how the SFU cameras always pan lovingly to matthews whenever the wretched leaf lose, they did it on Gallagher's goal Saturday and last night when Ottawa got the winner. He is the CotU of the CotU.
Sadly, next Monday, February 22nd, the Calgary Flames get the privilege of playing the leafs on the anniversary of losing to a 42 year old Zamboni driver. I imagine the SFU will have a whole big thing about that event...
I just want to say one thing, thats it. Leaf lose and Matthews Austen Matthews is all the Leaf SFU talk about as the best goal soccer in the NHL. OV and Lanine would smoke his britches if they had all the deadly CHances he misses. Credit to Narco for knowing where the drugs are, but he is at least 3rd in pure goal scoring and likely could slip lower all thing being equal. Secondly gCHuck a leaf, I expect he will make some kind of career with this team that has one line. Jonny Toronto has a big sucking sound following him around the ice for more than a year now. Third the leaf play the sens WED and the leaf seem like one of those big ones you found as a kid and put in the encyclopedia to dry, very beautiful to look at but as a practical matter one of the most fragile things you could imagine.
PJ boy Johnny Toronto may live to regret not taking bergy's phone call. He is barely on the CotU radar because of narcos and his midget linemate. He was the Man on the Island, now hardly rates a mention. He would have been the #1 guy in Montreal and have had an actual goaltender. It's all about choices. leaf sucks.
You know the SFU writers are actually writing these articles on purpose now just to get clicks and rile up the other 80% of the population that doesn't cheer for the leafs. And they don't care because Buttman signed the 12 year/$5B deal with the devil (rogers) back in 2015 or so.
I listen to the fan 590 SNL with the O Dog every day on my drive through the valley of the 400 and 401 valley of death. I like the show, but they are going to get blisters from Narco masturbation's at best. He is a very good player, maybe a top five scorer, but if you watch the game summaries he has a front row view to lots of goals against
Meanwhile back on the farm we are in another dounut crises, no centers.
Aside from hockey and memories of EDEN LAKE, I have been inclined to take the binge watch invitation from Yellowstone and DARK. Dark has no diversity just a warning.
I watched DARK, I was glad when it was over. My family is watching Yellowstone, I took a pass 'cause who are the good guys? Oh, there are none! It's like Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy, there are no decent people. There has to Good vs. Evil like the Habs vs. the leaf, the Sacred Flannel vs the Evil Empire.
I am currently enjoying Outlander, lots of Scottish brogue and whiskey drinkin' highland laddies. And bonny lasses as well...
I can't believe the sickening splooging coming from the toronto sports network when come to Assdin and the putrid leaf. It's beyond anything they have ever done before. New lows weekly. Oh and could somebody please tell Brendan Kelly to STFU and stick to writing about somebody making a movie or something he understands. I remember listening to CBC morning show and he was talking to that Finerty moran about how BBQ was a shitty leader because he doesn't talk much. K There I feel better now Go Habs
I don't think the sfu were ever this enamored of a leaf, not Gilmour, not Sundin, certainly not pHat pHil. It is sickening and the TSN_Parody site is having a field day with it. The fucking clowns who call the games would blow amatthews live on TV.
I was weary but didn't have anything locked and loaded in my TV viewing chamber, so I watched the first 1/2 season of Big Sky (there are only 8 episodes yet). It is sneakily good, it's dark, has lots of plot twists right from the start. And it has Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick)! I give it a high recommendation, it's on a short break so a good time to catch up.
DIE LEAF DIE!!
ReplyDeleteI got nuthin' else...
I hope the boys pull their heads out of their asses and at least make a game of it. It's gonna a long week of reflection if they lose again tonight.
ReplyDeleteAgree.
DeleteJust fucking win. Don't ever wear that fuckin blue again and Go you fucking Habs go!
ReplyDeleteSo Meat is in, TFS in the Nets and the Habs will be in White. I'll take that. I'm gonna eat early - My son runs a local burger chain so he's buying tonight. ReplyDeleteNeed to know the condiments/fixins.
DeleteI hope Price can stay on his feet tonight, might help stop a few from going in. I say he still gives up three.
DeleteAs much as we hate them, can't deny that the Leafs are an offensive team. That's all I've got.
DeleteBy all accounts it sounds like Fleury is looking good and should probably be in the NHL...mind you the Rocket have only played one game haven't they?
I agree the leaf are offensive.
Delete👍 glad you got my point! 😂
DeleteHighly offensive. --SiM
DeleteGoing to support local and try a local pizza place that I hear has the best gluten free pizza money can buy, for my celiac family members...I might get extra gluten on mine.

ReplyDeletehookers and blow are short term solution to a short NHL career
DeleteMeat and Czar on the thin blue line. CHoas rules
ReplyDeleteOttawa just did the Habs a solid, keeps the 'Peg off their backs for a bit.
ReplyDeleteLet's have a drinking game. Every time the SFU say 'auston matthews' tonight we do a shot. We'll all be loaded by the 1st intermission!
ReplyDeleteDrink!
ReplyDeleteNo Tuna Sauce? WTF?
ReplyDeleteWeird scratch. Should’ve been Dano.
DeleteTuna canned ce soir./
DeleteTrade bait? Or lobster bait?
Deletemclame is such a sick fuck.
ReplyDeletebuskaksuck is a drip with a bad haircut.
ReplyDeleteWell so much for Tuna scoring 2 tonight...why him over Dano? No centre to replace him with?
ReplyDeleteRight then... Enough fucking around. Get er done!
ReplyDeleteFuck...
ReplyDeleteAnd a giveaway by...Dano
ReplyDeleteI rescind my expectation of Dano scoring tonight. --SiM
DeleteThey wouldn't dare sit a homeboy, they would lose their minds down around Quebec City. Wouldn't they?
ReplyDeleteThey could ask CJv2 why.
DeleteThis game is pretty fucking shit so far...
ReplyDeleteFuck sake... Kill it
ReplyDeleteNot noticing a different team.
ReplyDeleteOK... Good have been better but looked to be improving as the period wore on... No idea what has gone wrong but their game is fucking flat
ReplyDeleteNo adjustment from clodhopper. They can't get the neutral zone. They have to dump and chase but he can't figure it out.
Delete*get through*
DeleteAndersen could have knit some mittens that period.
ReplyDeleteOnly down 1 that's something!
ReplyDeleteOther than Evans hitting the outside of the post was there a good scoring chance?
TFS came to play, where is the rest of the team?
ReplyDeleteListened to the SFU broadcast for the first half, switched to tsn690 to save my sanity.
ReplyDeleteMy pizza was very good. Word on the gluten free is that it did not meet expectations...which aren't that high for gluten free.
ReplyDeleteGot some PC Black Label Salted Caramel ice cream topped with a local JD Shore Rum Cream. Delicious.
Meh, they can suck leaf dick all night I'm drinking and don't care.
ReplyDeleteNice one the M... I don't bother with the intermission... That stupid smiling mf rudey makes me ill.
Delete18-1 hits FWIW --SiM
ReplyDeleteMatthews marner marner Matthews blah blah blah...
ReplyDeleteFact is... Habs are playing for shit. Who cares how many hits they get if they can't hold onto the puck... Which they can't... Soni don't know... Something has to change
ReplyDeleteFirst scoring chance I've seen. They might get one tonight but I doubt it.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteHabs holding onto the puck too long... But
Have we scored yet?
ReplyDeleteNope.
DeleteYa need to steal the odd game throughout the season. Price is giving them a shot at that at least.
ReplyDeleteHey if you can't stomach the Habs, the Montreal kid FAA is playing in round 4 of the Aussie Open...
ReplyDeleteCould Poehling be worse than Dano ?
ReplyDeleteHow'd this happen? You think it's all contract related and not dealing well with the fact that he's indeed not #1 C material ( or 2,3,4 at this point)
DeleteTotally. He's got a young family and now he's worried he ficked everything up. --SiM

ReplyDeleteToffee! --SiM

ReplyDeleteTaxi for LB... Placed on waivers to get him into the Uber... Hmm...
ReplyDeleteGood luck in the taxi Lb. My favourite scene from one of my favourite shows. https://youtu.be/piPz1prPrzs
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be the least surprised to see Lb picked up by Ottawa or Detroit.
ReplyDeleteIf we lose him who gets his 'A'? Dish? Suzuki? Powerhorse?
DeleteBased on seniority I'd say Petry.
DeleteI would say Dish but whadoiknow...
DeleteKid A will be the first NHL player to be a double AA
DeleteLB clears waviers, at the moment that contract signed just last year looks a little stinky.
ReplyDeleteGalchenyuk now a leaf and not off of waivers, they actually traded for him.
ReplyDeleteHe just keeps sinking lower and lower.
DeleteAnd to cap off a prrfect Laff day, they blow a 5-2 leadto lose in OT to the Senators. Poetry. --SiM
