So, those fugly retro jerseys, now an 0-3 record. I believe they are scheduled for 3 more appearances so 3 more losses.

As for the wretched leaf, I will concede they are currently better only because they have a hot scorer but when the playoffs arrive they will be exposed as a one line team with a mediocre D and average goalie. There will be no Cup parade in Canada in 2021.

As for the Habs, they still have a ways to go. Their centers have to gain experience, Weber and Wagon have to go to the second pairing, Meat to the freezer (kudos above) and the coaching staff needs a serious upgrade. Hopefully Cole Caufield can bring his scoring ability to the NHL, the Habs sorely need it.

One thing I do not get, why is it so easy for opposition teams to play at the Bell Center? Since the beginning of the 2019-20 season the Habs are the second worse team in the entire league at home. Only Detroit is worse. It's not like they should be nervous to play at home in front of the fans these days. There aren't any. Back in the day, teams coming to the Forum would hope to keep the score respectable or maybe get a tie. Not any more, seems like it's an easy two points for most teams.

  4. Year Wierd where the guy most likely to sit in CHarged CHair is leading the league with what have to be appreciated as near unstoppable goals. Why was the D Man not in Narcs grill like a golden helment Game ofThrones Style. I say lets shave the pors stach with ice cubes and frons cracked carbon fiber. Green Mo ve. I prevented an image that looked like a high intensity carbon creating operation from scoring.

  5. Use this game to get your heads out of your asses. I'm looking at all but Andy and KK really. Though KK needs to play consistently like he did last night too.

  22. Shit. Again, a puck bounce off Czar this time that goes the other way. Pomme deserved better. --SiM

  23. I am one more shit game from making the " Claude's lost the room" call...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Wow...Just re-watched the OT. 3 Habs watched Tcachuk walk out from behind the net, then he knelt down, tied his skate lace, he then went and signed an autograph for the maintanence guy, then he skated back in front of the net and took a couple of practice shots at Alain (just to get his angles right) before burying the winner. F. F. S!

    2. Seriously, in a situation like that, if I was Czar, I would try to swat at and ice the puck. Claude still had his TO available. --SiM

      Delete
    3. To me it was Anderson. He was the only fresh legs on the ice and was too worried about sticking to his guy who was out near the point, when he was a couple of strides from keeping Tkachuk away from the front of the net. Oh well c'est la vie. The more we lose, the more chance I like to think that CJv2.0's days behind the bench are numbered. Whether or not that's true, it's what keeps me going.

  26. Maybe the Habs should replace Julien with Daniele Sauvageau. Maybe if the players had a 'mom' yelling at them to clean up their mess, it would be more effective.

  27. I am not a huge CLOD fan but he is a reasonable coach, we could get in Herb Brooks DNA crossed with Scotty Bowman and the Gipper and I doubt the result would be much different. Clod will adjust. The biggest thing that has happended is the other teams have killed our team speed forward, and feasted on our lack of team speed backwards. St louis won the cup with a d that was slower than our current one.
I believe we are just having birth pangs from popping out UTES like we had an UZI on the farm. We have nothing but UTE down the middle except for Dano who seems to be having a mid life crisis at age 27.

  29. TSN tonight so no Gawley. Mudryk is busy at the Scotties so we'll get TSN690's Dan Robertson I think. Dan's a fine Blue Noser. Used to call the Moosehead games here in NS.

Just win. Or don't. My level of care is drastically diminished.

There is no center, no one is in control and time runs wild and next thing you know you have missed the playoffs again, and got a draft pick that is not a bust but if they made one it would be paper MaCHe

I'll probably put it on in the background with the sound off. No commentary. I'm sick of listening to all that crap. I'm sure all you FHFolks have heard and read all the julien talk. I've refained from commenting because my feelings on the matter are no secret. The only thing I'll say, and I'll stand corrected if wrong, didn't they play much better after julien left the bubble with health issues and Muller took over? As Stan Lee used to say: "Nuff said."

Another L. If they want a chance to make the playoffs they better turn the net over to the Snake. Price stinks.

  60. Well I tuned in just as JD made it 3-2 and watched the rest. Far too angry about the W being stolen by Tronna. I can't imagine how the team feels though I saw Gallagher's presser and he was visibly frustrated and perplexed.

If someone in that organization doesn't raise this obvious bias against the Habs to the league well we might as well forget about ever succeeding.

And yeah the 4th goal was a total stinker but apparently he made a number of amazing saves before I tuned in.

I'm just so pissed @ the war room right now. FUCK!

    ReplyDelete
  61. W stolen from Habs by COTU. But they are playing poorly, need coaching change. I am now convinced. --SiM

    ReplyDelete
  62. Said it many times over many years the tranna bias, be it media, war room or scheduled television nationally, runs very deep. It will never get better. Molson needs to speak up loudly. Take a million dollar fine, pay and then donate another million to youth hockey.

  63. DD is the New coach.

    Julien and Müller gone.

    ReplyDelete
  64. the Maritimer10:27 AM

DD and Alex Burrows now in charge. Hopefully the players respond otherwise the Jets are licking their chops waiting for a mentally weak opponent. And for pity's sake nail Price to the bench for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Halifax Moosehead Memorial Cup winning coach Dom DuCHarme is in charge! I think he'll turn this team around. First test will be to see where he puts Da'Non' in the lineup. And it'll be interesting to see what Burrows brings to the team. I'm looking forward to this change.

And if he could find a way to figure out exactly when Price is going to let that soft one in each game and make some sort of adjustment...

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hmm, did Toronto do us a favour? If that buzzer beater counts and Habs get the W, does MB still can him today? I remember Gainey firing Carbo after a big W in Dallas, but Bergy ain't Gainey. Anyway from upthread "The more we lose, the more chance I like to think that CJv2.0's days behind the bench are numbered. Whether or not that's true, it's what keeps me going." So I'm keeping going!

    1. Nilan on TSN690 saying it was obvious Julien had lost the room. Says Czar is a major center-piece of the future that was getting hung out to dry and needs to be brought along more carefully, or he'll falter. I heartily agree.

  67. Never like to see good people let go, so thanks to Claude and Kirk for being part of the CH.

I think it is a move that needed to be made. I was a bit surprised CJv2 came back this season but I'm glad his health was good enough to do so.

I like CHarm and Burr has been getting good reviews in the AHL.

    Time will tell.

Just make the fucking playoffs !

    ReplyDelete
  68. Hmmm...guess the room was lost after all...

    ReplyDelete
  69. the Maritimer2:35 PM

I never wanted Claude back here, too many bad memories of his broonz dirty tactics and some of his fucking goons manhandling players at the end of games the b's were losing. Good riddance. Captain Kirk will always be one of my favourite Habs of all time. I too thank him for his time as a coach as well as a player but every coach has a shelf life. The fucked up and biased 'war room' probably did us a favour last night as it sped up a needed change. I still have hope the Habs can turn things around but the player deployment needs to change ASAP.

Players like Suzuki and KK, the future of this franchise need to play a lot and not be afraid to make a mistake. Give KK Gallagher and Toffoli. Make Evans the #3 center. Bring up Frolik and sit out Byron. Put Weber on the second pair with a younger quicker defenceman. Put Chariot on the 3rd pair. Bring up Cale Fleury. Play Allen a lot.

Let's be patient with Ducharme and Burrows as they try to turn the bow of the Titanic from the iceberg. I'm actually looking forward to the Jets games now to see if things can improve.

    1. Agree with a lot of what is being said in here.

We've ripped him in the past, mainly for good reasons, but DGMB is impressive in his new attitude and how he answers media questions. I missed part of CHarm's presser but let's see if he can put the team in a higher gear.

Brian Wilde has mentioned it a few times. bergy has brought in 5! really good hockey players. There is no reason this team should flounder. Scotty Bowman said: The secret to coaching is correctly deploying the right players at the right time. He doubled shifted Lafleur all the time. Play the fuck out of your best players. The leaf don't roll 4 lines they play the crap out of narcos and midget. Look where they are at the moment. Here's hoping DD does the same with his young guns. No more 'playing not lose'.

  73. did somebody say DDD?

  74. WatCH the first leaf goal last night, that is goal tender interfernece and guess what, good goal.

    DD is a radical thinker.
he will line up 6 players at the red line for the opening face off
yes six, he will not dress a goalie
also adopts rugby rules, no forward passing
