Ha ha! I see the clown symbol for the fucking leaf! Great job!

One of the writers at EOTP wrote an excellent piece rebuking the arrogant tremblay. Fuck him and all his racist followers.

I hope the Habs are prepared to score 5 or 6 tonight because you know Price will give up at least 3 or more. I would have given Jake this game and let Price face a weary Oilers team tomorrow (3rd in 4 nights).

    2. Wow, that was an amazing read.

Canadiens = "It is a team that currently belongs to two kids from British Columbia."

      Love it !

    3. the Maritimer2:41 PM

Yes, that was an interesting point but you could actually make it three kids from B.C. as I would include Brendan Gallagher who, while not born there grew up there. He is the heart and soul of the Canadiens, which probably irks tremblay to the nth degree.

    4. And then there's Tyder/Toffee, who owns the Vancouver Canucks.

  4. I made honey garlic wings for SB and have some leftover sauce. Gonna throw that on a plank of salmon and put it on the BBQ. Curried cauliflower rice with peas on the side. And I've got a hankering for popcorn so might have some to go with that beer l8r tonight. I'm hungry...

    5. I'm dry since before Xmas and still going strong with that, if not feeling 100% on the cardio-vascular side still. Long COVID and alcohol don't mix. Most days I am pretty good, but me and Mrs. SiM both have what I call COVID flashbacks occasionally.

    7. Went out for a good skate today at lunch. Too much staying in might be my only REAL health issue. Hard to know if it's mostly in my head, or just stress and sedentary lifestyle related. Habs beating the Leafs always helps, so GYFHG!!!

I believe I'll join St. Paddy with a beer and some popcorn as well. My choices are Innis & Gunn lager,
Smithwick's ale and Loyalist City, a local brewery beer.

  9. Feb is not a dry month for me, so this is what I heard the Burka say today. " I will trade Syd to the habs for a bag of pucks, because the young kids get frustrated with him trying to keep up"

I've changed my mind, I think I'll take a pass on the beer and popcorn. I'm still full from dinner, not hungry at all.

On a side note, since you guys are alcohol free for Feb., I am trying to be dairy free. Switched to almond beverage for cereal and avoiding cheese and butter. I think I am becoming lactose intolerant, got some issues going on. It's an experiment but we'll see.

    1. The winning goal from 60 feet and on his knees. No excuse for it.

      Delete
    2. Agreed St. Pad. If the Habs are going to progress to any level of credibility in this short season - he has to stop that every time. No excuse accepted. No screen, no deflection, nothing - dead center to of the ice from that far out, he has to stop it. He was out of position and on his knees. No excuse. Sorry for being so hard on him but it is what it is. Dare I say - Alain would have stopped that?

I hate to say I told you so but I knew Price would give up at least three. The Snake would have given them a chance but I don't think it would have mattered. Suzuki and KoHo are not driving offense like they were earlier and Danault is lost. The fucking leaf were deserving of the win. jabba better start paying attention to who is on the ice, the rolling 4 lines regardless doesn't work against teams with superior players. He can start tonight by matching against Mcsaviour and Leon.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Price did make a big save on the opening shift and then that one from Pyjama where he squeezed it between his arm and body. No telling if Cobra Kai (putting that out there as a new nick for Allen) would have stopped those. Fact is most of the team played like dogshit last night. Soft and smelly. Do better tonight.

I would switch Danault and Evans.

    2. the Maritimer10:33 AM

I've been thinking for a bit now that Lip and Tuna could use a new center, one that gets them the puck more. I wouldn't break up the Suzuki line but I'd try KoHo with them for a game or two. Also, KoHo needs to shoot more, preferably without someone right in front of him.

Side note: If it's true that Phil passed on that $30 mil contract, he is no doubt thinking about that a lot with the way he is playing. He won't get that now. Big mistake and ego driven.

  51. Fuck. They're going with the blue again tonight.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I could go on another rant but y'all know how I feel about the blue...What I figure is this...Apparently they are only going to wear it 6 times this season - so lets get them out of the way. To me, it's a lot like the outdoor games - it turns it into a bit of a less serious exhibition game - except it isn't an exhibition and counts in the standings. But it's not a real team when they wear that fucking hideous blue.

The leaf skated circles around us and TFS doesn't look like TFS.
    We looked slow and disinterested.
What's worse is now I have to take the smuggery from the wrong side of the family.
We had better come out on Saturday like we want to win.
    Go Habs
