Ha ha! I see the clown symbol for the fucking leaf! Great job!
One of the writers at EOTP wrote an excellent piece rebuking the arrogant tremblay. Fuck him and all his racist followers.
I hope the Habs are prepared to score 5 or 6 tonight because you know Price will give up at least 3 or more. I would have given Jake this game and let Price face a weary Oilers team tomorrow (3rd in 4 nights).
Yes, that was an interesting point but you could actually make it three kids from B.C. as I would include Brendan Gallagher who, while not born there grew up there. He is the heart and soul of the Canadiens, which probably irks tremblay to the nth degree.
I made honey garlic wings for SB and have some leftover sauce. Gonna throw that on a plank of salmon and put it on the BBQ. Curried cauliflower rice with peas on the side. And I've got a hankering for popcorn so might have some to go with that beer l8r tonight. I'm hungry...
I'm dry since before Xmas and still going strong with that, if not feeling 100% on the cardio-vascular side still. Long COVID and alcohol don't mix. Most days I am pretty good, but me and Mrs. SiM both have what I call COVID flashbacks occasionally.
Went out for a good skate today at lunch. Too much staying in might be my only REAL health issue. Hard to know if it's mostly in my head, or just stress and sedentary lifestyle related. Habs beating the Leafs always helps, so GYFHG!!!
I believe I'll join St. Paddy with a beer and some popcorn as well. My choices are Innis & Gunn lager, Smithwick's ale and Loyalist City, a local brewery beer.
Who am I or anyone to Judge Bruce Springsteen? I am pumped, I have skin in the game and its like everything I believe is on the line and its up to God to decide if I am a sinner or a saint.
Feb is not a dry month for me, so this is what I heard the Burka say today. " I will trade Syd to the habs for a bag of pucks, because the young kids get frustrated with him trying to keep up"
I've changed my mind, I think I'll take a pass on the beer and popcorn. I'm still full from dinner, not hungry at all.
On a side note, since you guys are alcohol free for Feb., I am trying to be dairy free. Switched to almond beverage for cereal and avoiding cheese and butter. I think I am becoming lactose intolerant, got some issues going on. It's an experiment but we'll see.
Thinking that we can defeat the leaf. This is not an orginal thought but I have heard it advanced several times today. Do not let Porn Stachse touch the puck. I am not going with any more sexual advances on this file.
Right then... Not the best period but not the worst. Habs need to get skating a lot more and stay outta the box. Almost half one on a school holl night. GYFHG!
Not impressed the last three games. Vancouver games may have been an outlier. Andersen way better tonight, making it look easy. Oh well, on to tomorrow.
Looked like a nasty slew-foot on Lip to send him crashing awkwardly into the end boards. Lucky he avoided serious injury. Get your forecheck back boys! GYFHG! --SIM
They look like they just met a fee hours ago and thought it would be a nice night for a bit of shinny. Way to over-coach a team that was already clicking? I dunno. --SiM
Agreed St. Pad. If the Habs are going to progress to any level of credibility in this short season - he has to stop that every time. No excuse accepted. No screen, no deflection, nothing - dead center to of the ice from that far out, he has to stop it. He was out of position and on his knees. No excuse. Sorry for being so hard on him but it is what it is. Dare I say - Alain would have stopped that?
I hate to say I told you so but I knew Price would give up at least three. The Snake would have given them a chance but I don't think it would have mattered. Suzuki and KoHo are not driving offense like they were earlier and Danault is lost. The fucking leaf were deserving of the win. jabba better start paying attention to who is on the ice, the rolling 4 lines regardless doesn't work against teams with superior players. He can start tonight by matching against Mcsaviour and Leon.
Price did make a big save on the opening shift and then that one from Pyjama where he squeezed it between his arm and body. No telling if Cobra Kai (putting that out there as a new nick for Allen) would have stopped those. Fact is most of the team played like dogshit last night. Soft and smelly. Do better tonight.
I've been thinking for a bit now that Lip and Tuna could use a new center, one that gets them the puck more. I wouldn't break up the Suzuki line but I'd try KoHo with them for a game or two. Also, KoHo needs to shoot more, preferably without someone right in front of him.
Side note: If it's true that Phil passed on that $30 mil contract, he is no doubt thinking about that a lot with the way he is playing. He won't get that now. Big mistake and ego driven.
I could go on another rant but y'all know how I feel about the blue...What I figure is this...Apparently they are only going to wear it 6 times this season - so lets get them out of the way. To me, it's a lot like the outdoor games - it turns it into a bit of a less serious exhibition game - except it isn't an exhibition and counts in the standings. But it's not a real team when they wear that fucking hideous blue.
The leaf skated circles around us and TFS doesn't look like TFS. We looked slow and disinterested. What's worse is now I have to take the smuggery from the wrong side of the family. We had better come out on Saturday like we want to win. Go Habs

Wow, that was an amazing read.
DeleteCanadiens = "It is a team that currently belongs to two kids from British Columbia."
Love it !
Yes, that was an interesting point but you could actually make it three kids from B.C. as I would include Brendan Gallagher who, while not born there grew up there. He is the heart and soul of the Canadiens, which probably irks tremblay to the nth degree.
DeleteAnd then there's Tyder/Toffee, who owns the Vancouver Canucks.
DeleteThere's no rivalry. Period.
ReplyDeleteJust so people are aware it's National #Fucktheleafsday...
ReplyDeleteI'll be celebrating with a quart of homebrew given to me by a fellow Habs fan. A nice smooth stout, I think I'll name it FTL Stout.
DeleteGYMFHG! And BTMFL!
It is always National #Fucktheleaf day... Just sayin'
DeleteYep and #Fuckthesfu
DeleteThis is a worthy day to defenestrate a Leaf.
DeleteI made honey garlic wings for SB and have some leftover sauce. Gonna throw that on a plank of salmon and put it on the BBQ. Curried cauliflower rice with peas on the side. And I've got a hankering for popcorn so might have some to go with that beer l8r tonight. I'm hungry...

DeleteGlad to see you took my advice Moe... Making your dry month February is smart.
DeleteI'm dry since before Xmas and still going strong with that, if not feeling 100% on the cardio-vascular side still. Long COVID and alcohol don't mix. Most days I am pretty good, but me and Mrs. SiM both have what I call COVID flashbacks occasionally.
DeleteThx K3X.
DeleteStay well SiM.

Just fuckin win! It's the fuckin leaf. Nothing else matters.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be a good game to watch without any fuckin commentary
ReplyDeleteYeah, since the game is on leafnet tonight, the tv will be on mute. I might try the tsn690 feed and see how that goes.
DeleteSergio and other guy are the best
DeleteWho am I or anyone to Judge Bruce Springsteen? I am pumped, I have skin in the game and its like everything I believe is on the line and its up to God to decide if I am a sinner or a saint.

ReplyDeleteMelnick is playing Warren Zevon, can you imagine some 5 years after his death he is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame?
ReplyDeleteI know I haven't been around (fear of jinxing the good start) but I had to pop in to say
ReplyDeleteDIE LEAF DIE
As you were.
We're not worthy!
Deleteexpire without grace
Delete29 sighting! He's like the Eastern panther, often spoken of but seldom seen.
Delete29!
DeleteHey, those #29 lawyers are two cool cats! SWIDT --SiM

ReplyDeletePlease don't let narcos/pornstache or that little fucking weasel nylander score tonight.
ReplyDeleteNylander is like the evil Druid in a Stark Trek episode.
DeleteThe first Joel Armina ARMY is back, he is back and like all great generals he keeps his armies up his sleves.
ReplyDeleteI am digging the black jersey

ReplyDeleteHe is winning faceoffs. ‘Bout it.
DeleteSend him to Pit for a bag of pucks...
DeleteIs that Sid’s new nickname ?
DeleteRight then... Not the best period but not the worst. Habs need to get skating a lot more and stay outta the box. Almost half one on a school holl night. GYFHG!
ReplyDeleteNot liking a leaf left alone in front of TFS.
DeleteAs usual the Habs have to beat the fucking leaf AND the corrupt officials.
ReplyDeleteSeems like the nhl will always be an old white man's club.
ReplyDeleteThey still look out of sync. Whatever they practiced isn't working as far as I can see.
ReplyDeleteCraPPy again.
ReplyDeleteSo many chances to get out of the zone and they are too soft every time
ReplyDeleteDano is useless
ReplyDeleteFuck --SiM
ReplyDeleteToo soft, hanging on the puck too long, a litany of mistakes being made.
ReplyDeleteFuck off refs calling that penalty with no time left in the clock
ReplyDeleteI think julien is imposing his will on the team playing not to lose instead of trying to win.
ReplyDeleteYep, difference in play from the first to the second period.
Delete4 in 4 it seems. Is that better or worse than a leaf PP?
ReplyDeleteCzar and Kulak playing too long on shifts.
ReplyDeleteJesus Carey get off your knees
ReplyDeleteOh FFS!
ReplyDeleteThat should do it.
ReplyDeleteShitty game anyway
Powerhorse eating his words. Karma
ReplyDeleteGee Carey how did that go in?
ReplyDeleteGreatly discombobulated play. Outskated snd out-hustled by Simmondsless Leafs. --SiM
ReplyDeleteNot impressed the last three games. Vancouver games may have been an outlier. Andersen way better tonight, making it look easy. Oh well, on to tomorrow.

DeleteFuck. --SiM
ReplyDeleteShit game.
ReplyDeleteMove on.
Wouldn't make a difference but Czar was at the has marks first for that icing call where he hit the boards at the end.
ReplyDeleteOne fucking job...beat the fuckin leaf. Lose to everyone else but beat the fuckin leaf!
ReplyDeleteCan someone explain to me why TFS now appears to have a default DROP TO THE ICE button on him?
The winning goal from 60 feet and on his knees. No excuse for it.
