A five to one in the bar were you take a 5 home just to keep the fans happy. Maybe the Sens have found the magic potion or maybe we are unable to play hockey. This Wed it will all be on the line, and I will have skin in the game.
Whew, that was a lot harder than it needed to be. Looks like Matt Murray and Ottawa will be this year's nemesis like Detroit last year.
Jake the Snake from Fredericton, N.B. wins again and I think if Price is in net the Habs lose this one. I know it won't happen but I would run with Jake for a stretch, they need the points to stay ahead of the wretched leaf.
Speaking of those putrid laffs, GO CANUCKS! FUCK THE SFU! FUCK YOU MCLAME YOU TOO BURKAKE!!
Just saying Jake and Primus one Octobat at a 6 mill cap hit is worth thinkingaboot. TFS has proved we can not win that 1 to zero game. The NHL of the Future is amazing shooters.
Well that was what I would call a HF29 special cuz the boys had to hang the fuck on for about the final 30 minutes. But 2 points and back on top for the moment and that's all that really matters. Great game by the Snake, Nature Boy, Dish, Powerhorse, Czar
Aurelian Smith Jr. or Snake Plissken is saving the season so far. I am afraid very afraid of the combination of the Toronto power play, and the Habless refs against us at one time.
The Canadiens power play has been on a 1-for-16 run recently. It had stalled. Cue the changes to the first power play unit. Shea Weber was taken off the first unit as they were just relying on him too much. Jeff Petry was at the point along with Jonathan Drouin. In front of the net, to create the screen, was Corey Perry. The Canadiens started with 45 perfect seconds of pressure that culminated with Jeff Petry taking a point shot that was screened perfectly by Perry. An accurate shot and a net front presence.
I guess the coach reads this blog. Seems to me I just wrote this scenario the other day...
I think moe mentioned after the previous game the reffing in the Habs games has been complete shit.
More incompetence today of note: Tsar's hit on gCHuk called interference when the puck was right there (chucky had touched it), the hit to Evans head (that's 3 Habs) and tkachuk's embellishment on CHar's penalty. Such fucking bullshit.
The way the world is going I could be silenced any day by a leaf fan, phucktards battery throwing boy, or some attorney from Harvard who is a Bruins fan. Just saying.
Holy stifling defence Batman! Mahomes was on the run all night. His O line couldn't contain that wicked TB defence. And Gronk turning back the clock like it's 2015. Love me some Tom Terrific, but the TB defence should have won the MVP.
Agree 100%, Tampa's D was the biggest reason they won. I'll give Brady credit for his performance but the Chiefs offense was non-existant. It was funny, that little guy on the Chiefs D yapping at Brady what was he trying to accomplish? HA!
The Giants sure could use a player like that Jason Pierre-Paul. 3rd Super Bowl for him, I wonder where he got the other 2? Waitaminit...
Nice little storm. BLowing and drifting so hard to say how much snow I have exactly. The path on the north side of my house is bare. There are drifts of over a metre in my driveway. I shoveled my main path and would guess around 40cm. The most fun part of shoveling it is that the ground was wet when the snow began so every shovelful of snow sticks when I try to throw it. Good for the old heart now doubt...
When I was a young teenager I didn’t get along with my Dad, so I stayed with my aunt and uncle a lot of the time. I kind of became the son they never had. My uncle passed away yesterday shovelling snow. A local businessman with a great company. A great guy. 80 years old.
I think The Weeknd has a great voice, I'm just not generally a fan of his music. Didn't really watch the halftime show. Apparently he went to high school with Toffoli. I doubt they were buds.
I was hoping for a 1st place showdown this Wednesday between the Habs and the wretched leaf but I'm sure Vancouver will suck again tonight and give the putrid leaf the extra two points.
There was a play getting near the end of the game when Mahomes was again on the run. I had to rewind and pause it, he was actually parallel to the field when he released the ball, flung it 40 yards, only to have it hit his receiver in the facemask and drop the ball. It was that kind of night for the Chiefs.
OK, back to hockey. Just when you think NHL officiating can't get more mickey mouse, did you see what happened with the Columbus/Carolina game? First, how the fuck does that happen? Second, wow it happened to a team and it's not the Habs?! Looks like officiating is a shitfest league-wide. But how do you fuck up an obvious play that is being reviewed? Impressed how (externally at least) Torts kept his cool about it...but I guess he figures he can't afford another $50K fine.
Canes missed a prime opportunity to exude extreme sportsmanship. When they found out the league fucked up, they should have handed the puck to the BJs to start the 3rd and had their go alie step aside to get the goal back. This would give them credit and at the same time seriously embarrass the league. Opportunity missed. Actually could have kept the goalie on the bench so his stats aren't impacted also...
I have breifcases and bankers boxes full of predictions and advanced stats but they will not ansewer the question of what happens when Auston Matthews comes to town Some will see him a a goliath above McDavid and other see him greater Like a modern Mario with no clutch and grab but one thing is for certain he will face the Habs on Wed with all his guns a blazing and his mustache waxed down
Never mind I see you already found it. I'm assuming he hates all non francophones equally. But, how does that shit even get published in this day and age? Oh, I forgot, t***p.
As I responded on Twitter to someone, what the this is so bad itbasically racism squared. RT has been at it since the last millennium and his publisher, Journal de Montréal, is thrilled to keep providing him a platform, no matter what bile claptrap he spews. Worse than Cherry and the CBC in many regards. --SiM
"I could really care less what the #Leafs are doing..." ---Brendan Gallagher.
Gotta love the Lip. Can't really call him a kid anymore, he's now a grizzled veteran. He will be playing hard tomorrow night against the fucking leaf. That being said, they better stay out of the penalty box or it will get ugly. I hope jabba starts Jake the Snake, it would give them a better chance to win.
I wonder how Patrick Laine feels about going to Columbus now? I doubt he signs any long term deal there. Maybe he should go back to Finland for a bit like Jesse did to get his shit together.
Finally, one of moe's favorite leaf fanboys Mr. Mirtle is sucking narcos dick saying he will get 50 this season. Sure he will.
Holy hell the Canucks are bad and have bad luck. Somebody forgot to switch the blackout button last night so I watched some of the 1st period. 'nucks way outplayed the leaf but no puck luck and no finish. Tuned in during the 2nd and the blackout was on, which was fine.
I am hot on Narco, he is the real deal. Top five in my book for sure. He is not a five too player top five, but as a goal scorer, he is deadly like Bossy. He is more a shooter than a dangler, but he has added some of that to his game. Some of the goals he scores look like Lemieux, a big hulk moving slowing on the Carrera but supersonic in real life.
On the bright side Cole Caufield who we have to nick continues to be exceptional and there is no reason not to think he can not bring that to the NHL. CatCHer in the RYe, we could call him CCH ? For Canadian Club Habs edition/
I failed to mention one of the long time most respected executives at large is now working for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Good Luck Burkie. Like I tell anyone in a new relationship, be sure to wear a condom until your sure its a good fit.
Yes, good-bye burkake, I won't miss seeing your sour puss on Saturday nights. I wonder which new former leaf fan will replace him on leaf night in Canada?
1. love the banner! can't stop, won't stop, game stop, leaves drop! 2. StP: yes! I've always felt the same way when refs (including tv review) screw up. if a team were to lie down to make things right, it would send shockwaves around the world for professional athletes to demonstrate such sportsmanship. football (real) already does that when they kick it out and/or when they kick it back, but what you proposed would be epic and I'm totally all for cleaner pro sports.

ReplyDeleteUgly win, take the 2 points.
ReplyDeleteImagine we'd have about four to six fewer points in the standings right now, were it not for Pomme. Great pick-up. --SiM
DeleteNice win.
ReplyDeleteI know I am dreaming but the fuck wads at player safety should look on that headshot on Jake Evans. It was nasty
ReplyDeletewas he wearing a habs jersey, see Clarence Campbell rules on habs.

ReplyDeleteShe has beautiful stuff and says she ships products practically every day. Got a couple mugs to ship to the kids in Ottawa.
Was talking with her, she orders 3 tonnes of clay per year. That's a lot of mud!
nice stuff, but I have no idea about this kind of thing.

DeleteJake the Snake bergys best pick up by far.
ReplyDeleteHe’s fearless.

Brady is like a surgeon on the field. KC is being carved up
ReplyDeleteNo denying his skill.
DeleteNot close to a good game, disappointing.
Great halftime show though, best in some time. By a Canadian no less!
DeleteLove The Weeknd.
DeleteRest In Peace Ralph Backstrom.
ReplyDeleteR.I.P. to another Habs great.
DeleteNever saw him play but I know he was a key cog in the deal that brought us Lafleur, by the genius Sam Pollock. RIP Mr. Backstrom.

DeleteI think The Weeknd has a great voice, I'm just not generally a fan of his music. Didn't really watch the halftime show. Apparently he went to high school with Toffoli. I doubt they were buds.
ReplyDeleteI don't listen to that particular genre of music but he is a very talented singer. I just thought the whole production of that show was outstanding.
DeleteGreat show. Pepsi put in $9M and he put in $7M. Spectacular.

The sfu are always positing the narrative that narcos is equal to McDavid. Not even close. Leon is better as well. I wouldn't even put him top 5.
DeleteHow did the weekend do at the superbowl. I did not see it, but I heard alot about it. It was a Scar bough suitcase at best.
ReplyDeletethere is no place in hockey or the world to point out racial idendity
DeleteHey moe, I accidently came upon a controversial article written by some racist guy named Rejean Tremblay. Check it out on John Lu's Twitter feed.
ReplyDeleteNever mind I see you already found it. I'm assuming he hates all non francophones equally. But, how does that shit even get published in this day and age? Oh, I forgot, t***p.

DeleteAs I mentioned on Twitter and SiM indicates, tremblay is a pure educated racist. None worse in sports journalism.
DeleteI recall the Habs booted reporters from their team plane years back, this threw him over the edge to crazytown.
He’s always hated the Habs. His Nordiques leaving sealed his fate of hate.
Journal de Montréal is the equivalent of the toronto sun, a national enquirer of rumours and innuendo owned by a wealthy pure wooler.
Thanks guys, good to know all this stuff!
DeleteI’ll add one thing about the racist tremblay. He is purposely singling out Asians when one of the Habs best players is Suzuki.
Delete"I could really care less what the #Leafs are doing..." ---Brendan Gallagher.
