  1. Bob Newhart's comedy and his TV shows seriously cracked me up.

Suzanne Pleshette was a seriously sexy vision of natural beauty.

Never got to see Morphine live. Underrated band.

    3. Nice! Thr white directional roadway signs were why I mistakenly placed it in NH kn my memory.

Mrs. T was recently a patient in Mrs. SiM's care in hospital. And now we're moving to her son's riding (Park Ex), so maybe we'll see her campaigning too, if she's still up for that stuff.

  2. I did not watch the game last night. I understand there was little to take from it. I saw replays of things that seemed bizarre, like a slew-foot taking out Streep that led to KK trying valiantly to play D on a crucial goal. I saw Tuna has been playing hurt and missed most of the third. I saw Czar get his head bonked by a Flame while laying down in front of his net, so that may be another concussion. I do not see how Ducharme is the coach to bring them out of this.

    1. Purposefully did not watch.

We closed down our street and had a Chinese food and champagne neighbourhood gathersharing.

We put various dishes/drinks at various houses and had friends move about socially distanced.

I was the DJ and cranked out the relatively not too crazy music.

Brian Burke once famously said the leaf were an 18 wheeler heading over a cliff. This is the trajectory Montreal is currently on and gaining speed. It would be a monumental failure and the end of Bergevin and Ducharme's tenure. I believe it will happen. There is currently no leadership on the team with Gallagher out. Weber is too taciturn to lead, Price is too fragile and nonchalant. Like it or not this is their team. If they miss the playoffs both of them need to go and the team turned over to the younger set and I don't mean Drouin and Danault. At least one elite talent is needed to turn the franchise around.

  4. I am still glass half full. They lost the first game like a child. The second game they played like men and lost, the third game I expect victory. We have taken some lumps but they lost their battleship and that is always a good way to start a game of battleship. I have to admit watCHing their 37 year old D man domiate makes me feel BBQ can heat up.

I don't know what to think.
Nights we look good nights we look like a high school team
We have some fine pieces and we have some that are just bad
I don't have faith in TFS at all
I see BBQ throwing away the puck
I don't see any reason for druid I mean none as in zero
All of our "depth" and we have a fourth line of retreads
I love lekko, watching him skate around and around is fabulous but nothing happens
    Same thing with Paulie
I believe we are going to get into the playoffs and we shall see after that
However we will not win the cup so what bodes for next year
    TFS 10mil
    Druid 5 mil
    Paulie 3 mil
Keep Jake and sign a stud leader/goal scorer
I feel we are on the right path I really do but too much faith put in players not producing
I also feel that MTL is now a destination players might want to come to

I think we are all in the same boat. You can sense long before the game is over that it's over. No sense of desperation to win, only a sense of defeat. And this has been going on for years and years. I usually record the games and watch on delay so I can FF the commercials but when they get behind I just put on FF and let'er roll.

Regarding Chester's comments, the Habs do have some good players and some more supposedly in the pipeline. The one thing they don't have is that gamebreaker/stud that Chester mentioned. Maybe Cole Caufield will fill that role, hopefully we find out soon, there are some videos of his pretty sick hands doing crazy things with the puck. The defence, right now Romanov is their best D by far. Anyway, the off season will be more interesting than the current spectacle, it just remains to be seen who will be doing the work.

The thing about this draft that a lot of people forget about is simple...The Kracken only get to pick one player per team. There isn't a GM in the NHL who would pick Drouin (except maybe Ottawa) up for free never mind with his contract. You don't build a new team around an egomaniac floater either. Just my opinion...
