  3. Dman Jon Merrill acquired from DET for 5th rounder and Verbeek's kid.

I have no idea who this is.

    1. I have no clue either, but may I suggest Streep after Merely Streep. Or maybe better yet Streeper.

I agree with the M, Bergy should sell what he can, but he won't.

I wonder if Molson would fire GM of the Year. This team may not make the playoffs. Hire Bobby Smith as Prez and Pat Roy as GM. Clean house from there. Just dreaming but stuff's not working. I like a lot of what MB has done, but some of the big moves have been costly. Specifically the Sergachev trade.

I would take PK back for Weber in a heartbeat. He's not playing well either but only has 1 year left in his albatross contract.

Fuck it. Also like the M, golf time. Cheering for our Canadian boy. Other than that anybody but the American sweethearts the announcers and network are in love with.

    2. Look Dish and BBQ should be sent to Hawaii for a couple of weeks. Play the taxi squad pretend they are injured, we have to work to miss the playoff and we are not catching anyone for the 3rd spot.

      Go Corey! Errrr... go Hideki!!

      Yeah anybody but the Yanks.

I have no fucking idea who Jon Merrill is and he won't make any difference. Meat is good as gone. bergevin has made his bed and will lie in it. There are no big moves to be made. I predict the Habs squeak into the playoffs and are then summarily dusted off by the wretched leaf in 4 straight. The SFU will demand the Cup be handed over to the leaf immediately.

    4. Corey drops a shot and disappears from the broadcast. Showing useless Mickelson shots instead.

Go Hideki. At least that skinny Z American kid is only a future love it of theirs.

    5. And Speith who is 8 shots back...

      The SFU of golf.

You can never have too many plyons in the playoffs, ask St Louis

  5. To understand the mind of DBMB you have to go total cinimatic. Its the expendables, Dolph Lungren is going to sign at league minimum, but that in the bank

  6. Leafs just won the cup by trading a 1st for 33 yr old Nick Foligno. At least that's what I'm seeing in social media.

No need to play anymore games, just hand them the mug.

I didn't realize he was that old. Maybe it won't make that much difference. Jumbo Joe or Spezza to the taxi squad?

  7. the Maritimer7:11 PM

Congrats Hideki on winning the Masters!

Looks like the leaf are all in. Big trade getting Nick Foligno. The SFU will be masterbating for the next 48 hours at least.

I see Corey Conners recovered a bit to finish -4, finished tied for 8th. He might win it some day.

  9. the Maritimer8:02 AM

The fucking putrid leaf have made their moves. They can't get Taylor Hall. Whatever are those SFU lunkheads going to talk about for 8 long hours today? Ha Ha Ha.

  10. Good luck to Meat, who picked up off waivers by Sens. He'll play agsinst Habs this Saturday perhaps.

After losing Jewels the same way earlier in the season, I can't say I understand DGMB's logic in letting his assets go so easily - unless the stunt Meat's agent played in January when everything was clicking really ticked him off. Division rival too.

    1. totally agree. it seems the habs are always developing their talent for others. noah should have been a lesson on how NOT to handle victor and which will now surely encourage DGMB to do something stupid with cale... those are three extremely high floor defensemen.

      Delete
    2. oh... and if DGMB traded him b/c of what was said by his agent, that proves (yet again) how immature/shallow/trite he is to let words hurt him. re: treatment of vodkov

Turned on the toob, tsn, nothing but leaf.

  14. 2 dmen I know little about. Not a good year to win anyway, too soon for parades.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh, and I fully expect Meat to find his scoring touch against the Habs.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I don't read or comment on SN stories but I saw this title "Why Nick Foligno’s heart chose the Maple Leafs at the deadline"...and I skimmed it to see where he says he remembers the run in '93 cuz his dad was a leaf(hmmm, what happened that year anywAy?). So I simply posed the question whether Nick and JT had pyjama parties while watching the leafs lose. Comment deleted by moderator. They are a touchy bunch in leafland.

    2. Yeah, pornhub is safer for sure.

      Delete
    3. Well, pornhub, for some, offers more satisfaction.

I have said many times that in regards to the SFU that it will get worse, much worse and never get better when it comes to them pornhubbing their leaf. It is even worse than I ever expected. Play safe!

Meat was a great skater, did very well in junior. However, he couldn't shoot the puck well enough to make up for his lack of size like Tory Krug e.g. He will get his ice time in Ottawa until guys like Jake Sanderson show up and he will get shoved down their depth chart as well.

  20. the Maritimer5:07 PM

"pornhubbing their leaf..." Bwahahahahahah! That cracked me up! Pretty much the size of it though. I haven't looked at sn for months, ever since dweeb eric engels starting defending the league about allowing illegal headshots to Habs to go unpunished. Fuck him I refuse to look at anything he writes. I occasionally look at tsn for golf, soccer or nascar news. I notice all the leaf pornhub headlines and quickly move on. TSN_Parody has excellent coverage of that shit.

  21. I have to believe what I see on the media. I can not think for myself I need appropriation.
So DUMBASS is now the greatest GM in the history of the NHL. Had any other team brought in the players the leaf did, they would automatically win the cup.
30 other NHL GM are left scratching their balls wondering if its jock itch.

    1. I am sorry I did not include the idea their could be a different gender as a GM. So in the future some Gm will be wondering about Jock itch and others will be wondering about a yeast infection.

  22. How horrible is it going to be tonite? Historic or just puking on the street.

    ReplyDelete
  23. WHat kind of stink are we going to smell tonite?
The worst stink is a dead decomposing body. I smelled that once. A squirrel had climbed down the chimney and died in my air tight woodstove. It made me retch immediately, and often.
I dont think we will hit that scale but stomach upset is probable.

  40. This paragraph from Brian Wilde's write-up:

"There’s a moment late in this one with the Habs up 3-2 with a chance to seal the win. Josh Anderson has just missed a gimme on a sweet pass from Kotkaniemi. The puck comes back out to the slot where Jonathan Drouin has a chance, but he can’t finish either. Here’s the thing though: Drouin does a fly-by. He’s got two goals this season. Why? Because he’s too often doing fly-bys. You have to stay in the crease, like Gallagher does, to score goals. You can’t time your moment in the crease area for one-tenth of a second hoping the puck comes out at that precise moment, then you leave the area. You have to stay in the area for as long as it takes. That’s probably going to hurt though. They’re going to cross-check you across the back. That hurts. They’re going to slash you across the wrist. That also hurts. They’re going to punch you in the face. That hurts too. Goals often mean pain. You have to sacrifice. Fly-bys don’t cut it. This doesn’t cut it."

    So true!

  43. I woke up this morning and I did not run a comb through my head. That is a great covid gift you can have mattress head. However for some it would be disturbing to think what I thought. I though the leaf had won and all the trades and manipulations where for not. It was like Lou Reed COACH coney island baby
I had been riding a roller coaster but the start point and end point where on an alternate earth. I could swear on a Bible but it would not mean nothing, just put my synapse on a MIR and deny someone who needs a new hip to make a point.
When I woke woke be woke, I saw the truth, the Habs had won and I was filled like a Krispy Cream Donut with sugar and just exploded all over the keyboard with joy.
    Sweet Sweet Win Coach
Lets just mathimaticly make the playoffs and then go on cruise control with star AHL players let them take the toll, while our studs are in the stall kicking and screaming they want a fem et all, some ice to call their own, while the AHL players get to see what a Jet looks like and it has no toliet that opens to atmosphere.

  44. Can I just say one thing about Eric Gufstann. He was playing for Empty and was destroyed. How many NHL players have been shot in the heart by his Empty sould. Bonne Chance in Montreal I will call him RED/

AV and eMpTy will be kicked to the curb shortly. Please, by all that's holy, keep them both far, far away from the Habs. No more recycled bilingual coaches.

  46. GI Finn skates in tonight against les Flambés Calguarienne. They played last night, beating the lEAF in OT, so might not be the restediest bunch. But if they want to catch us, the schedule makes case for them to play hard, with their next five games against us or something crazy like that. GYFHG
