  6. So that was a relatively dull period of hockey. Why does Dish not pass to Caufield on the PP. He doesn't even look with him all alone in the left slot...

  7. afternoon delights wow I cant say., What I can say is I wonder what direection the HABS train is going.
Past and futute and teh future is not playong along with this theme song/ Future is stageat and wondering if a bust is possible like the KK seems to be. So dance to the future but some of the past must go and its up to the new GM to plot through the shallow waters

  13. I will tell you exactly what I do not know.
DGMB is going to LA to dumpster dive where you might find warm bodies
This season has already been written off by the accountants and the workers will see it at tax time.
I can not complain becase I have been confident for my whole life in 5 year plans, just because they always took 25 years does not mean that someone can line up all the ducks in five years with some talent and some leadership and a lot of men in the room who have not been raped.

  14. This one is over. Habs don't have another goal in there game... Never mind 4

I just tuned in and saw the 1-3 score and kept going. Some talking heads are advocating for CC Whiskey to have a stint in Laval. I think that is a great idea, let him light it up in the A for a while and get his mojo back. Laval would become a powerhouse. Plus, why subject the kid to the current situation with the big team.

  16. I really have not seen any Hab do anything so far. Suzuki... Nada... Caufield... Nada... Drouin... Nada... Shit for brains coach should have pulled Alain after the 4th. Nothing to play for... A fucking blind man can see the Habs got fuck all to offer tonight. Is KidA even playing?

  19. Imagine if the Habs understood that you van enter the zone by passing to a teammate. A concept so far beyond DDs comprehension...

  20. Why TF is Alain still in the Nets... This is done... Ffs! Oh wow... A Power play..

  21. Hmmm... Think the Kings knew they wanted to Hoffman to take the shot... Habs running the PP with 3 people...

Gee Ron, you and all your cohorts knew about this shit for years and now you feel remorseful? All the snivelling media sycophants are a bunch of fucking hypocrites. I hope Kyle Beach sues the arses off the disgraced blackhawks, the Wirtz's, the NHL with the smug buttman and the NHLPA.

I'm cheering for the Red Wings tonight with special interest in Joe Veleno, the first Q player to be allowed to play as a 15 year old with the Saint John Sea Dogs. Also, Filip Zadina, the player the Habs were supposed to take at #3 in 2018. Maybe they would still have him, if they had put him in the minors like Detroit did.

I'm thinking KoHo and Dano were bigger pieces than we thought with the way the Habs are playing these days. So were Weber and Edmundson apparantly. Oh, and of course Price.

Meh, watched bits and pieces but saw Joey V. score a goal. Stevie Y has assembled some nice young players with more on the way. Detroit and New York and even the leaf weren't afraid to tear it all down and start over, unlike Molson and the trainwreck Habs. Just sayin'.

  27. I watched the first two periods and the team wasn't as good in the second frame, but I thought of last year's team and assumed they would adjust, and bring it up a notch to start the third. Instead they collapsed like a bunch of sadsacks who just don't believe in themselves. Coaching and team leaders are simply ineffective on the psychological side of their duties. Or something is rotten at the core, and that might be a factor in TFS's decision to sit out safely in the Program.

If they put in another lacklustre effort today look for something to happen the upcoming week.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Perrault eye injury, 2 to 3 weeks. Monty in nets, Dish and Lep semi-injured and game-time decisions. Wideman in for Niku (unless Dish is unable to play). Something smells like a furniture-sale trade of the current team leaders, just so Bergy can go out in flames? SuperSexe burned down last night; will it be the Habs today? Scary stuff this Halloween. The G IN GYFHG is for ghost now???

    ReplyDelete
  31. I thought something wasn't right with KidA. Hardly heard his name last night.

  32. this season is gone, next season is gone, it will be at least three seasons before we can be happy.
Sell TFS, Edmonson and Chariots of eggs. The problem is we have no successes in first round picks. This goes back to Doug Wicenhiser. So we are picking wrong or we are delopinging wrong or both. Throw buckets of money to put out this eternal dumpster fire.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I know this won't happen but for fun...

Trade 2nd 2022, 1st 2023, Caufield (I know, don't really want to trade him), D prospect not Romanov for Eichel. Let him have his surgery and sit the year (ltir). Made the team worse, better shot at fist pick and 'could' have a healthy Eichel and Shane Wright for 22/23 season. And maybe a mentally fit Carey Price...anywho...I think I'll be watching football today.

Finally getting around to the final season of Vikings. 2 episodes left. I think they've discovered NF or perhaps Labrador since they nabbed a caribou. I don't recognize the indigenous people but I'm also not brushed up on my 11th century Labrador history.

    1. If we got Echel I am sure he would never play again.
We have to look to Ottawa, suck and suck and low and behold you got players.
The cafield chaos is not relevant. When he was in a place to excel he excelled, if you put him in a place where everyone has watched his game film like a bad netflix ep, he is going to fail.

    2. No spoilers but Vikings just kind of ended. like the money ran out.

I was watching the Pats game, got the suppertime news on right now. Watched moe's Steelers gut one out, lost my survival pool game (never trust the Bungles) but I can buy back in for $5. I might have to subscribe to DAZN to get to watch the Giants this Monday night. 9 trick or treaters so far.

Screw the Habs, piss poor owner, lousy GM, lousier development system and too many blown 1st rounders. The Habs have been poorly run for decades now. Blow this fucker up and build a proper team.

    1. Until Molson gives up his President title (or sells the team), I don't think we'll get ever see er blown up. But I'm starting to agree with you on that.

    4. the Maritimer6:06 PM

@Saint Paddy, you are correct, until fanboy Geoff steps away nothing will change. Not to take away from the Stanley Cup run, but I believe that was more about circumstances and all-world goaltending from Carey Price. He has covered up so many blemishes and poorly constructed teams for so long. The leadership that carried that team for two months is basically gone, except for KidG, either through injury or financials. They are basically helpless (and hopeless) at the moment. The hole they are digging themselves in will be just about insurmountable. I'm sorry, I can't watch crap hockey. I'll have to dig out my DVD set or watch old games on YouTube.

  42. Surprisingly still in it.

    2-2

  43. 12 shots across 2 periods but tied at 2. Habs missed the net half a dozen times... Wow

  44. Tight game in LA (football). That new $5B stadium looks like a Star Trek space ship from the air.

Hey the M pretty sure DAZN gives a 30 day free trial.

Flipped to the Habs game and see Getzlaf is the Ducks scoring leader now and the referenced he was taken 19th in the 2003 draft...of course that being the one the Habs took Tits at 10...but also took Corey Urquhart in the 2nd, 5 picks ahead of the B's taking Bergeron..

    ReplyDelete

    1. the Maritimer6:35 PM

Yeah, I will only need DAZN for two months basically, Nov and Dec, so should only be 20 bucks total.

I can't look back that far for draft errors, but wasting two #3 overalls in this decade plus throwing away a late pick in 2021 on a known sex offender is inexusable. Hopefully, this GM will be heading for Hollywood Hills next spring. If not sooner.

  48. Big win for the Pats. Tied for first in my weekly pick em pool. Got Minny to cover the 2.5 vs the Cowboys. So does the guy I'm tied with. We also each have KC -9.5 vs your Giants so could come down to a tie breaker depending on these outcomes. A weekly win gets me my $200 entry back.

  50. I dunno Steve seemed like the Vikings characters all got an ending of sorts. I heard it was planned to be the last season and there is a sequel series coming in 2022, taking place about 100 years later and featuring more well known characters like Lief Ericsson.

I like this move, somebody in management finally got a clue. As for Cole, he won't even notice he's changed teams on the ice. He will probably notice the difference between a passenger jet and a bus.

    2. Munster will need 10 days to two weeks now. Dish and Lep skipped practice, day to day status. Paquette two games suspendion. ADVERSITY!!

      Delete
  52. Tsar is next, if his agent will not allow it, trade him for a first and a prospect to team that knows how to handle talent.
Dish, take your pick buddy, you deserve better than this poutine.
Kid A Lep I would keep you need institutional memory and who is going to take that contract.
The same for TFS, if we got a bite trade otherwise status quo. when he is the back up we cup
As for the rest of the cast and crew Chariots, Edmundston, Kulak go for picks 2 nds maybe
The Hoff, dude your a first.
Hire the Babs big cock as a consult for Laval, here is what the babs thinks about your deployment, and at the same time get a skating coach, a shootin coach a passing coach.
If nothing else we should have learned drafting for position is a weak weak play that has never and probably will never play out.(first round only)
Put up billboard saying closed for construction back in 2025. tank for three years.

  53. the Maritimer8:15 PM

My theory is the players no longer care for ducharme or his 'system', whatever it is. There's no way these players can be this bad.

I'm glad Cole is going to Laval, too bad he couldn't take Tsar with him. He needs to be protected as well from this crap.
