Trap game for the Sharks tonight. Bottom feeding team that just got spanked by buttman's latest expansion darling. Plus, Montreal has not won there in 22 years which was the last century. What could go wrong?
Lep (the Habs' players' rep right now), made a statement, closing with: "The NHLPA is there to protect the players, and in this situation (Hawks 2010), it obviously failed them."
Just caught the hi-lites. Good to see some of our important players getting off the schneid. 45 saves is awesome for Jake's confidence. Hoff 3 games in a row. Love the Czar's muted goal celebration with the arms outstretched. Just need the kids to find their way onto the scoresheet in California.
I just noticed both weekend games are 5PM local time for me. Might actually catch some of them! Somebody else might have to handle the little trick or treaters this year. I think that's a thing this year... and what's that? 9PM for UK3X?
Hey - I am happy. We set our clocks back on Saturday night as well. Good on the Habs for brfeaking their Anaheim Duck (SWIDT)...This road trip is a bit like lots of last year - 3 games in a day and half (almost) So I reckon we see Monty at some point over the weekend too.
On a separate but connected note - WTF would any self respecting parent allow their kids to go out trick or treating in the midst of this pandemic? Apologies to any of you here who are going to do it but come on? Makes no sense at all. It's not a big thing in the UK but there is some halloweening done over here - rest assured out pumkin is not going to be lit.
Yeah i don't get it. I think there were even some last year, right in the midst of Wave 2 (i think, time is but a construct). I put a container of candy at the end of the driveway. Not sure if kids were respectful or if one kid got a great haul. And I don't care.
Man, I should've gone to LA this weekend. Could've gone to the Habs/Kings on Saturday and the Pats/CHargers on Sunday...which is on the same time as Habs/Ducks. I'll be watching the Pats and checking in on the Habs. Unless the Chargers really start smoking the Pats (which is possible), then I'll watch the Habs and check in on the Pats. Unless the Ducks start smoking the Habs (which is possible even though they suck too). In which case I'll tune into Disney...wait it's not 1977 Disney isn't on at 6pm on Sundays anymore. Always looked forward to that as a kid. Now if I want to watch all 25 Marvel (Disney?) movies in chronological order, I can do that anytime. OR, I could watch Escape to Witch Mountain (the original)! What a world we live in. I'm rambling because I couldn't sleep last night. Turns out i should have just got up and watched the game.
Ha! I was out driving around for work so I put on whatever that leaf show is on Sportsnet at 1pm our time these days, hosted by Marek. He is the one who way too hard always emphatically states that "we're not fans, we're journalists" because like all of us, we actually know they're all leaf shills and they are regularly called out on it. He may be my least favourite of all of them these days. And that's saying something. Nah, probably the fried man.
Anyway today is the day they decided to do a spotlight on the surprising San Jose Sharks. You know they were just licking their chops yesterday, after the Habs were beat down by the Krakheads, and oh this would be such a great part of the story, beating the lowly Habs for the 2nd time this season. Perfect time to shine the light on this surprise of a team. Well too bad fuckheads. Sorry to rain golden showers on your parade but you can all piss off.
After thinking about it, I think I actually have more respect for guys like Jeff O'Neil and Hayes from Overdrive that make no bones about the fact they are leaf fans. Cards on the table, not trying to make out like they're professional, unbiased 'journalists' but admitting they are fans of their team who happen to have been given a voice by the CotU media.
Added to the thread Moe, hope ya don't mind! Too bad the scoring tip is the guys in blue scoring on the guys in white...
ReplyDeleteAll good brother.

ReplyDeletePut the C on him now.
DeleteKid C !
Hoffman! OMG, we've got a lead! GYFHG!!
ReplyDeleteRDS showing a beaming Lafleur as his Remparts #4 is lifted to the Centre Vidéotron rafters in Québec City. So cool.
ReplyDeleteHe looked so happy.
DeleteQuenneville out as Panthers coach. He might need to brush up on his Russian if he ever wants to coach again. Bye-bye asshole!
ReplyDeleteChevildayoff tomorrow.
DeleteDevilfuckoff
DeleteCzar!
ReplyDeleteLep! Kid C! 3-0 on the PP. In part due to a nice faceoff win by Powerhorse who I think also assisted.
ReplyDeleteTeam effort plus a great Allen.
ReplyDeleteEspecially on those PKs. Unbelievable how many A-grade chances the Sharks make for themselves on the PP.
DeletePowerhorse! An empty netter from his own end. 4-0 with 2 minutes to go.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time this millennium, the Canadiens have won a game in San Jose, California. And Pomme with a huge shutout to boot! GYFHG!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I have to get up in five hours. But it was worth it! Great game. They look like they are playing for one another. Lots of rough spots still.
ReplyDelete45 shots, all the Hoff does is score.
