Shit just got real people. Habs need to figure out what they want to do with this season pretty quick. Shame they wasted the training camp and pre-season experimenting instead of solidifying stuff. Just fucking win!
Using the last year for a cup win the Pep Talk Generator: 1993 = Champ, what you got going on here is a national treasure, and that's a fact. 1967 = Champ, what you got going on here is paying off big time, would I lie?
Just thought I'd throw this out there, we sure could use a guy like this:
THIS DATE IN #HABS HISTORY Oct. 19, 1957: Maurice "Rocket" Richard became the first player in NHL history to score 500 career goals. No. 500 came on a power play against Chicago Blackhawks goalie Glenn Hall as Habs won 3-1 at the Forum.
Well well well we have a lottery team playing the Stanley Cup Champion Challager. What could go wrong. The panic button is dominating the board room, who will pull a finger and push the button. When the dust finally settles and the air is almost clear, the LED will foucus on St Patrick.
I've been watching some iZombie on Netflix. A good mindless (pun intended) dramedy...I might have to watch another ep if these guys don't soon give me a reason to stay.
Down 4-0 with 13 min. still to play. Half tge fans took off a period ago. The only thing left at this point is for someone like Dish to injure themselves awkwardly.
Last time this happened for the Habs, we ended up with reggie houle and mario fucking tremblay running the show...It's gonna be a looooong season everyone.
I think its a blessing. We learned today that the BBQ era is over. TFS can come back and be a effective goalie, but the regular season is not his forte. So we screw Dish and trade him for a first, take a lottery pick this year and next year, hope Prime Number can stop a puck and we plan the parade. The best team we had in the last 40 years was a joke to Tampa.
I agree Steve, the BBQ era is over, even if he were to return, he's not a #1 D anymore. I think the Bergevin era is nearly over as well. He will be headed to Hollywood to be with Luc, Phil and his besty Pat Brisson. LA can rebuild on the fly, they have some good young players and can develop them with little or no pressure. Unlike Montreal, which seems to be constantly spinning their wheels or blowing tires (KK). I've come to the conclusion that the Canadiens, in particular Geoff Molson, will always bow to pressure from the French media and the Quebec government(s) instead of having the best people regardless of heritage. It is what it is. I know I would rather be watching Ryan Poehling instead of Cedric Paquette or Mathieu Perrault although I did have some small hope for the latter. He always played the Habs hard. It will be interesting the next few games, if they go to 0-6 I can see the panic button being pushed.

ReplyDeleteAgree, time to lock down some lines.

OK, that is really fucking good.
Deletei knew someone would take the PTG challenge.

Dem where the days.
DeleteNot off to a good start, not terribly surprising. A win tonight would be nice.
ReplyDeleteYep, need a win before the Canes get here.
DeleteBe and get well Mike Bossy.
ReplyDeleteFUCK CANCER !
I made a really nice clam chowder, like really nice.
ReplyDeleteChardonnay.
Some of the remaining cake (with icing!).
I love clam chowder. Mmm.

Just score a couple of goals please. 1-0 wins are rare. Don't play Punch Imlach hockey ffs.
ReplyDeleteNot good boys. C’mon!
ReplyDeleteI've been watching some iZombie on Netflix. A good mindless (pun intended) dramedy...I might have to watch another ep if these guys don't soon give me a reason to stay.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm out. I'll record it just in case they surprise me. Hint: they won't.

ReplyDeleteI put it on when I came home, went hmmmmmm... nope, I'm out. How long before they fire DD and bring back clod, he's still under contract, right?
ReplyDeleteJust checked the web for the score. 5-0 eh? Well at least they broke their 1 goal per game trend.
ReplyDeleteI've gotta find another sport to watch, hockey and football ain't workin' out for me.
ReplyDeleteAre they still playing golf somewhere?
Last time this happened for the Habs, we ended up with reggie houle and mario fucking tremblay running the show...It's gonna be a looooong season everyone.
ReplyDeleteAt least we have Thursday to look forward to. A beloved former player returns, and we get a touching tribute to treasure.
ReplyDeleteFour games into the season, and
ReplyDelete...we are still looking for anyone who played in the SCF to score a goal.
...we are still waiting for any forward not named Druid to score a goal.
...we are still waiting for a single PP goal
...we are still waiting for a second goal to be scored within any game.
I blame the goalies.
I feel it will be really embarrassing tomorrow night. Kid KoHo likely licking his chops...
ReplyDeleteIsn't it really only by about the sixth game of training camp that the team starts to gel as ...oh hang on...they had training camp already...Shit!
ReplyDeleteMaybe they can all join Price in that NHLPA program. They seem like they're suffering from a group depression.
ReplyDeleteI know he can't score goals but I don't know that Lucky CHarms is a good coach. But he can blend as well as AF could.

DeleteDevo seems to be a solid player, but we need liquid players. Should have just taken the draft picks and said thank you man bamm.
