He's not mentioned as being summoned to kneel before Zod aka buttman like Chevaldayoff and Coach Q. I think mb was director of player personnel or something. Interesting take though on the contract negotiations. I just figured he was tired of the GM role and wanted to move up the corporate ladder in Mtl or to the sunny climes of LA. My money is on the latter. Whatever happens, I think it's time for a fresh voice and new perspective for les Canadiens.
My old j-school buddy Geoff Baker (and native Montrealee) works for the Seattle Times now. He wrote a cracking-good preview for tonight's game: https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/kraken/storied-canadiens-to-make-first-seattle-appearance-since-1919-stanley-cup-final-this-time-vs-kraken/
An all-time low for GDT comments at 10. And zero of those during the game. And with good reason, other than being on in the middle of the night.
I watched the "hi"lites and they looked terrible on every goal against defensively. I think Allen should have had the first one and maybe that changes things a bit. But c'est la vie.
Then they tie it up and get a 4 minute PP on the same play and apparently do nothing with it.
After doing some high level math and putting it through a few algorithms, I've determined that the Red Wings just suck more than the Habs. Not being NEGATIVE, just stating facts. It's not a bad year to end up with a high lottery pick, so it is what it is.
Don't do a thing bergy. Either they wake the fuck up and pull their heads out of their arses or sink to the bottom. Let nature take its course.
I predict they do what they have been doing for decades, go on a run at the end of the year and end up somewhere in the middle 10 out of the playoffs and out of contention for a top pick, not that they know what to do with those anyway, even when they get them.
Love the redhead in the orange. And it reminds me of the tasteless joke that Hallowe'en is the favourite holiday of incestuous families because they love to pump kin.
Can I be serious for a minute, no not likely but here are a few seconds I am reminded not for the first time of the Nurembrug trialswhere to summarize I was just following ordersdid not spare the death sentenceIn the case of those trials the death sentence was to easy a way outtoday we have a situation in hockey with the Chigago Black HawksIts alleged that a young hockey player was raped by oneof the staff of that organizationwhen this rape was reported it was alleged that nothing was done and thishappened in 2010Today the GM of the Blackhawks and several other notableshave resigned. The coach of the Florida Panthers and the GM of the Winnipeg Jets fate seems to ride on the judgment of the Commish.Their IMHO can only be one ruling on the fate of these good soldiers for the organization. Lets see what the Commish thought about Nuemberg.
At least a couple of Blackhawks players on that 2010 team went on to win Olympic Gold for Canada. Actually they just had done so in 2010 too. SSR was still in the OHL though. Kyle Beach is a hero.
Matt Bedard @ScotianCanadien · 4h Friedman has mastered the craft of blurring his reporting with his opinions. This isnt your favourite team in the six @FriedgeHNIC, les Canadiens dont purposefully lose & that's partly why they were mentally stronger than your Leafs in the playoffs. Keep the salt out of your work.
Been to Seattle twice, the Space Needle once (a Microsoft casino evening).
ReplyDeleteSaw the Mariners in '95 and then the Seahawks about 10 years ago.
Great city.
Way too late a start for me. Hopefully, a win over the Krak-heads is in the cards.
ReplyDeleteSame here. Gonna be a hi-lite kind of week. Hopefully...rather than lowlites.
DeleteI still believe in the power of the tank. We need a superstar that does not play goal.
ReplyDeleteDoes Bergy survive the massacre's in Chicago? Based upon the statement from Chicago, if he was in a exec position in 2010, he is toast.
ReplyDeleteCould explain the club's hesitancy to re-up him past this season.

DeleteJust fuckin win boys. More of Saturday night please.

ReplyDeleteOy. That’s all.
ReplyDeleteMight be time to take a break, for mental health reasons.
