  1. Been busy, wrapping up the year at work.

Off as of next Monday until Jan. 4th

Header was on standby, as the Habs announced Bob Gainey was part of the selection committee.

  2. We're at all time low in team interest as evidenced by the declining number of comments. While I'll still time in on occasion, I'm unlikely to watch many start to end this season. I too will be tuning into the Steelers-Vikings. I'm tied for first in my big pick em pool and I have the Steelers covering the 3.5 spread. Don't let me down, need a good start to the week for some positive momentum.

  3. Lets lose with grace. There are now five teams competing to be the worst. Its like Monty Pyhton was the commish.

  4. I really like the What About Bob Gainey you put together moeman. A very good flick too. But I just don't like the NFL (sorry).

But on Amazon Prime, the second sesson of The Great is pretty fucking hilarious. Huzzah!

  5. Dauphin's not looking too shabby actually.

  6. Congratulations on 500 wins, Marc-André Fleury. One of the all-time greats. I'm sure that means a lot doing it here against the Canadiens.

Sounds like Montreal has ruined another good young prospect in Cole Caufield. They don't have a fucking clue on how to develop scorers. Nope, gotta turn all them into 4th line checkers.

    1. he already knows how to score, thats why he must learn how to CHECK.

    2. Whiskey was buzzing all game, acted more like a centre, head-manning the puck in while Dauphin skated around importantly - but not himself terribly effective with the puck.

Too many regulars out of the line-up. It's just crazy.

I always go back to the Bill Parcels quote: "You are what your record says you are."

6 wins and 22 losses. Injuries have played a role for sure but, bottom line, it's on the coach. No more excuses about lack of training camps, lack of chemistry, young players, whatever. Ducharme has been with the team for years now, the only reason(s) he got the job was he used to coach Drouin in junior and is bilingual. He is incompetent. One thing for sure, Jeff Gorton will NOT have any loyalty to Bergevin's pet project and Drouin will be gone in the off season if not sooner. Can't wait.

    1. MB recently drafted Simoneau, Roy, and of course Mailloux (that was likely the pin in the CH voodoo doll) and signed Paquette, Perrault and Savard in the off season to appease the people who expect Béliveaus, Cournoyers, Richards and Lafleurs to all be dropping from the sky into the Saint-Flanelle bi-weekly.

Druid was pegged by Yzerman a long time ago and was bound to disappoint with his play. I think he should be gone sooner than later. Ducharme playing Ylönen just 7 minutes (a guy with pep in his shot that Fleury has no book on) while Hoffman and Druid get 15 minutes apiece. Why dress him then? Why?

    2. Drouid for CHevy exceeds the Mcdough for the Mexicant trade.

    Good quote:

This season should be more about development than being scared of losing games, but Ducharme appears to be more the latter than anything.

So yeah, you're not making the playoffs so why not play the kids and give them the experience and let them learn from their mistakes. What's the point of having them watch from the fucking bench? It's not brain surgery.

    1. who is that doggy in the window. They are showcasing the past due dates. In particular the Druid.
Does he really believe his 20 min a nite are because he is goood?

  11. Druid floats like a butterfly but don't sting like no bee, it's clear to all, time to set him free.

Just started the 6th and final season of The Expanse. Such an amazing sci-fi show, sad it has to end with a short six episodes.

    1. He's been exceedingly reluctant to play with any grit since thst wrist injury that took a long long time to heal, affecting his deft hands, like a man terrified it'll happen again. It probably plays to his anxiety lije a vicious circle. That puck yo the head took him some time to get over too. I don't think any pro scouts worth their salt will report too favourably on him. Tough player and contract to move.

    2. Thanks for the heads up about the expanse, I agree perhaps the best sci fi series of all time. Missing is the hotness of Battlestar Galtica.
The only way to dump Druid is to take back something more rotten, but hopefully a shorter term and less cap hit.

JD only has one year left after this season, he's unrestricted in 2023. Buy him out if necessary.

  12. Oh no Mr Bill, there is no clear consensus after Wright on the top ten picks. Is it to cruel to ask Timmons who he would pick?

There is no franchise saviour in this draft, only more moving parts. Connor Bedard in 2023 is the guy you want to go after. More misery heading our way next season. Hopefully, Arizona and Buffalo will get better to assist Montreal in the the next tank.

The worst part about being a bottom feeder, there is zero anticipation for the next game. Who wants to watch crap hockey? I might have to follow the Capitals just to see Ovie get closer to Gretzky's goals scored record. I wish the Habs would send CC back to Laval, I would watch those games just to see he and Northlander play.

I may have to reconsider watching the Montreal - St. Louis game tonight. I forgot Jake Allen will be facing his former team and, holy cow! The Blues goalie will be none other than ... Charlie Lindgren! I see a shut out in his immediate future! I didn't know where Charlie went, I thought maybe Europe or the KHL.
