Congratulations to the Women's Hockey Team for another hatd-fought Olympic Gold. That is truly a winning attitude.

    Canadian women just rock.
From hockey to skiing to snowboard.
That O'Dine fox saying in an interview that ya she had a regular broken back and a concussion so she couldn't snowboard for a while. Has an Italian land on her after a jump and just gets up and wins bronze. Respect. Makes me proud.
    Go Canada
    Go Habs

Congrats to the Canadian Women's hockey team, I'm sure their coach didn't try to get them to win -1 to 0 like the Men's team coach. Those guys were behind the Eight ball right from the start. You don't usually win in International hockey playing the trap. Unless you have Hasek in net.

OK Marty, let loose the hounds!!! Woof!

  4. Congrats to the Canadians who compete at the Olympics. However conflating Olympic Victory in Womens Hockey with victory in Hockey is a mistake. They are two different games. MS Poulin would not make a good Miget hockey teams roster. So lets just tell the truth, greatest women hockey player of all time yes. Great Hockey player no. And I want to see the truckers get their heads bashed in.

The truckers have been hijacked by a bunch of anti-vax, anti-government right wing kooks. I think they have something big brewing for when the police move in. They have been accumulating fuel and propane, I hope I'm wrong.

It's going to take some time but eventually Marty will purge this Habs team of the Do Harm stench. They actually look like a team again.

When was the last time the Habs gave up a single goal after two periods? And only 13 shots? I can't remember. It's a positive.

I saw Batman and Robin working their phones earlier. Busy time for those two. Maybe talking to The Joker out in L.A.?

I was drinking whiskey tonight. Prophetic!

Congrats to Marty on his 1st NHL coaching win! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for actually trying to win the game with offensive minded players on the ice.

Flash and Clark, you know you have a special player in CC. He will thrive under Coach Marty.

Finally, great game from Full Monty, happy to see him get a win!

  19. Caught this headline on the SFU site:
    Luke Fox
With solo dash up ice, Morgan Rielly goes full Bobby Orr for Maple Leafs

So ORRielly is back at it. With Gretzky (underpants), Crosby (latest SFU Marner comparison) and Orr, this is a can't miss team.

    1. Great scouting reports on all the prospects. I do a deep dive every year. Mostly if your not in the top ten its a crap shoot. We should just draft good to great skaters with hockey sense. A team of Lekos could beat a team of orcs. Thought about nick for mastercoach, Private Idaho, like the frank Zappa song and the Dune CHaracter.

I'm watching all this, it's unbelievable there that many deranged whackjobs in the country. It's hilarious watching these fools get taken down. And this is what the Conservative party has aligned themselves with? The Liberals are laughing all the way to the bank.

  25. Private Idaho is like the Sargant in Officer and a Gentleman. Only two things come from Quebec, separatists and hockey players, which one are you?
Like Rod the Bod, Private Idaho will take patato sacks and make sikly shirted hockey players.
I am tottaly drinking his koolaid. BTW I thought the first ep of the NEw Dune sucked pucks.

  26. I am ubexpectantly more likely to be emotional watCHing a Habs game and I say because I grew up at the CHurCH of the virgin stalillite I am skeptical about great things from small packages or even big sallilte dishes. The minister in CHarge of the saltilte was ordained quickly, and had very little legitimacy amongst his neighours that he grew up wtih.
So if they win the game tonight, and for reasons beyond my control I miss the live version, when I watCH the condensed version i might cry. Johnny Cashs or Hank Williams were at one time, or so they say while singing , so lonesome they might die, well the is not what I am talking about.

There is no Habs game tonight Steve, you will have to watch the wretched leaf or some other team.

The Habs play tomorrow afternoon on Long Island and will be going up against the Daytona 500 and the good ol' boys for viewers.

Juraj Slafkovsky. A 6'-3" power forward with great speed and hands. Possibly a better version of Josh Anderson. I'll take that any day of the week.

  28. A good night watching the wretched leaf lose to the team which the Habs just best. And with no Tarasenko. And seeing their goalie give up 5 after they give him a 5 minute spot in the pre-game is perfect.

I love watching a good leaf beating as much as a Habs win. The Soupy Campbell pre-game worship followed by a dismal performance was exquisite. On the 5th goal, O'Reilly was > ORReilly. Funny how the stupid toronto media love to compare their leafies to the legends, it ALWAYS comes back to bite them in the ass. I think it was haharudey who said awesome was 'quiet' tonight but was 'only' -2. On the tsn page there is an article about the 'dialed-in defensively' matthews then right underneath is the score from last night, 6-3 Blues. Perfect.

I don't think CK will send Ben over to the dark side, he wouldn't do that to him. The fried-man said St. Louis could be a destination.

Just to keep beating on the wretched leaf, they traded Nick Ritchie who, according to that stupid toronto media I mentioned, said he was the leaf answer to Tom Wilson. Yeah, sure. Ritchie and a 3rd to Arizona for a washed up Ryan Dzingel and some Russkie D I never heard of. Good for you Boy Wonder, enjoy your last season as a GM.
