I'm having something called Monkey Shoulder blended scotch, my youngest son got me for Christmas. His roommate works at ANBLC, said it was popular at the time.
Well it's been a tough year and I've put on some unwanted pounds. So yesterday I started a self imposed 20 week challenge to drop 30 lbs. This includes a reduction in alcohol consumption so nothing tonight. 20 weeks from now is not so coincidentally our first family get together in years. Got a cottage rented on PEI, daughter and BF driving from Ottawa, 2 brothers and wives. Maybe some day visits from the adult children. Drinks, games, golf, laughs and beaches. Cannot wait.
I normally gain around 8lbs over the winter. Last year I gave up potato chips and such, cut back on the sweets. I've stayed away from that stuff all winter. I'm not a big drinker so that's not a problem. I feel I've gained less than 5lbs over this winter. When golf season starts I'll shed that in a hurry by walking a lot. I want to get down to 205 this summer.
