  1. Saw Thorogood at the old Barrymores in Ottawa, late 80s and yes he did jump on the table to riff.

    Drouin = trying to be productive, might even fetch a little something at the trade deadline

    Daddynyet = hopeless. Send him down or sit him in the stands or better yet, send him home to visit family in Russia and never be allowed back by the current regime.

    Armia = dumb as rocks and possibly will flukily pot a couple goals now and then. May some starry-eyed GM equally dumb roll the dice and pick him up from us at the trade deadline. Maybe LA where Bergy has influence.

    Lep = looking exactly like what everyone said he would look like after a few years of playing Lep-style hockey. But making crazy $ on crazy term. There is nothing we can do about this, without some sort of a Steve Austin solution, but hey, one year of his pay is all it would take, eh?

    Now the D:

    Ghoul out 8 weeks is very sad and a little scary given that it's his knee.

    Munster = playing like crap or like someone trying to do too much and falling hopelessly short. Hopefully Maths (soon) and Savard returning to form will help him recover his game to tge point of being tradable by March.

    Savard = deserves our respect. Glad he's around. They miss him a lot when he's not in the lineup.

    Tweed = stud who is holding up well for a first grueling 82-game sxhedule, but expect that to fall apart any day just due to the laws of physics.

    Honda Civic = starting to look outmatched as other teams tighten their play with more discipline, but still steady and not a serious problem.

    Wifi = see Tweed above

    Maths = get healthy, dammit!

      Ghoul = knee sprain, hopefully nothing serious

      Munster = good 3rd pairing guy, playing too high in the rankings

      Savard = absolutely correct

      Tweed = agreed, good player needs time to get acclimated to the league

      Honda Civic = 6 or 7 guy at best

      WiFi = going to be a beast

      Matheson = good 2nd pairing guy

    2. I forgot Thinman - another 6 or 7 at best.

  4. Big Bird directed the Blues D to a Stanley cup. This is what we should be training the UTES to do. Keep the puck out of the slot, keep the puck out of the slot. Cant score if you cant put the puck in the slot. No ticky no laundry if you are not in the slot.

  5. Some good results last night. Sharks over Ducks in OT is the best. Hawks over Yotes is good. Sadly the Panthers beat the Wings to move 11 spots from the bottom.

    Go Habs Go! Ya don't gotta win but please stop totally sucking. Thank you.

    Took almost 3 years but the covid bug finally caught me. Been 4 days of pure misery but finally can at least keep my eyes open. Glad I had all my shots, I might not have made it.

    3. Sorry to hear it, the M. This thing got through my system in a few days and then took a piece of me that I never fully got back. Take care and get all the time in the world to ease back to a normal routine. Exercise may only give you a setback.

    4. the Maritimer4:10 PM

      Thanks SiM, at 68 exercise isn't a big priority. Hopefully I can start walking a bit in a few days or so.

    I'd like to recommend Tony Marinaro's latest podcast, a pretty frank analysis of the Habs, the prospects and the goaltending.

    And finally, Slothkovsky should be back playing in Finland. For at least two years. He is bringing nothing to the table currently. If they don't do something soon, he will be another wasted high pick. I can name at least 6 forwards on Team Canada who are better than he is. Actually, I doubt he even makes the Canadian roster.

    1. It's a worrying trend, no matter the management group, that Habs' first round picks continue to be mismanaged.

  10. I see another Habs prospect, Owen Beck, was traded for a boatload today too in the OHL. It certainly feels like the future has hope...assuming these young players are properly dealt with.

    So I’m watching the chiefs on espn and I watch the Habs in French and if I had to watch hockey with this bunch
    I think I would loose my mind
    They talked about guys cologne and the type of shoes
    They’re morans
    Complete period
    Whoof
    Go Habs

    Sloth's line on for both Blues goals. You can raise your hands or shake your head all you want kid, but you belong back in Finland. HuGo and company trying to pound that square peg into that round hole. Ain't gonna work...

    I don't know what all this shit was marek and fried-man were talking about but the NHL has lost it's way regarding this so-called all-star stuff. Does anybody really give a fuck anymore? The NFL got rid of it time for hockey to dump it as well. Just give the players a week off and let them get drunk.

  32. Well ya can't lose 'em all. They looked super happy to finally get that W.

    And I joke but it ses the weight of the world has been lifted off Armias shoulders. His play at the end was tremendous. He keeps playing like this for another month and somebody might just come a calling.

      Yeah, they didn't need to lose 8 in a row like DoHarm and the knuckle dragging clod accomplished. Honestly, if they can win 1 in every 4 from here on out I would be OK with it.
