I wanted to give a shout out to one of our recent favourite Habs, Mr. Paul (Lord) Byron, one of the best Dumpster Dives that Bargain Bin Bergy ever pulled off. He has resumed skating apparently and there are rumours that KH may trade his contract to some cap-strapped team in the upcoming days. At his best PB was a speed demon on the PK that opposing teams had to wary of. Who can forget his short handed goal while falling, against the wretched, putrid, despicable leaf and the overrated Jack Campbell who was annointed a Vezina winner by Kelly Hrudey and the clown show SFU in the playoffs in 2021? I just wanted to say thanks to a great under-sized forward who played with a big heart.
Hear, hear! Or is it here, here! Or perhaps considering the pics above, hare, hare! Either way, it's truly sad when the Habs lose a player that was trluy proud of and loved wearing the CH. If it's the last of LB, I hope he gets healthy and can continue his fine play elsewhere.
For some reason, I now feel like going wabbit hunting.
I feel LB is done playing, his comeback last season after hip surgery didn't work out and he is approaching his mid 30's so, if his playing days are indeed over, shout out and applause to him.
He has probably played his last NHL game, and he was a sparkplug and leader. He figured in some of the biggest goals in that 2021 playoff run, and wore the CH with as much pride and commitnent as anyone can. Classy too, providing French quotes to hungry media daily when few others were around who were so able.
I have beat up many a taxi driver. I might have been under some kind of mental cloud and they attempt to exploit that I explode. Now if I was making 10 mill a year, I might just let it slide. (goo goo dolls style) So to hear P K not PFK no the Chicago K want to play in TO made me happy.
For the Tankers who are worried about falling out of the Bedard sweepstakes, worry not. After the Habs dust off Luke Skywalker's disgraced Hawks tonight, they go on the road to play the low class Windbags, the wretched, putrid leaf (Patrick Kane Ha!) then the resurgent NJ Devils, then the dreaded California Death Valley trip. The Habs will NOT get Bedard but they will be bottom 5.
So I read where Toews will only entertain a trade to NYR or... The leaf. All those rumours about him being a stark raving mad sad, washed up piece of shit are clearly 100% accurate
That's why we keep Josh Anderson. Somebody who won't let others take liberties with our Captain and other skilled players. And he provides some offence.
Got rid of Debrincat and Hagel too. Toews and Kane's contracts coming to and end, yeah, they planned on being bad. They will get one of the top 2 for sure.

DeleteWhite Rabbit (RHP) is the new LB, if maybe not quite as fast.
Deleteyes a Butch Goring type but comming from a lower statosphere.
DeleteDon't hate me for wanting the winning streak to continue...
ReplyDeleteI dont hate you, I just wonder which dimension you came from.

ReplyDeleteVon Trapp!
ReplyDeleteVon Sketch? Or Red
DeleteI just go with Red because it's short and easy to remember and write.
DeleteSame reason I go with HP Sauce.
I don't know the white rabbit reference.

ReplyDeleteI agree. I think if Habs are building to win they need some vets to lead by example. The Powerhorse is a keeper.
DeleteYes
DeleteI concur.
DeleteThat was a Michel Therein penalty... Sof... (or was it Pat Burns who said that?)
ReplyDeleteeMpTy .... his Pitt D was 'soff'.
DeleteThanks The M... Thought so but then had doubts...
DeleteArmy!
ReplyDelete2 assists by Drouin. Goal by Armia. Trade value$ ^^^^^. Right? Right?
ReplyDeleteThat's what it's all about at this stage.
Deletethe only time Druid shows defensive passion is when he is talking about how many assists he has.
DeleteGI Finn/Army!
ReplyDeleteNot Serge!
ReplyDeleteSavvy!
ReplyDeleteHawks are not good.
ReplyDeleteI read a theory that they 'Pollocked' the Habs by trading DaCH to them so they would have a better shot at Bedard.

DeleteDevo!
ReplyDeletePez dispenses another takedown.
ReplyDeletePomme shutout, 3 straight wins, 3 assists for Druid, even with Thinman in the line-up. It's high time for some trades, HuGo! They'te ripe!
ReplyDeleteMissed the game. You can guess why...
