Requisite Raquel pic ... scene from 1,000,000 B.C. Nice!

Unfortunately, it's a Tank Top game but we actually need a loss (ugh) to allow the other bottom feeders to gain ground and keep NY ahead of FLA. in the standings. Gotta protect that pick too. Let's just hope for some fun hockey and some goals for the youngsters.

    1. Last time with the Smurf puke jerseys. May they never be seen again. JHFFB!!

  2. One of the absolute best sports weekends of the year!
The annual back to back afternoon games. The PGA Phoenix Open, with Canadian Adam Hadwin sharing the lead heading into Saturday, and a little football game to cap it all off Sunday evening.

I found 15lbs of ribs for $15 at Galen's place this week! Did up 5 lb worth last night. Chili is in the stove.
Gonna be a good weekend no matter what!

  3. Afternoon game draws a different crowd but happy to see Romanov isn't getting booed. An evening game would more likely draw the jackasses that would normally do that.

What idiot would ever boo Romanov? Probably a drunken one.

  7. BTW love the Lafleur/Bossy pic. If our #22 can match the career of that Isles #22, or even about 75% of it... I'd be a happy man.

Who's the better Tank Commander today .... General Montgomery in net, Dadnyet missing the open net or Dvo's flybys on hit opportunities......?

  11. If you have to look at replays for 5 fucking minutes, it's a good goal. FFS.

Well, it was two points they didn't need but fuck it good win. And fuck tranna, Hoff had control of the puck crossing the line with his feet. A player that long in the league can do that move in their sleep.
As Shakespeare said 'Much Ado About Nothing'....

  15. I was watching but working so no comments. The blue bullshit retro curse is over. No more! Great win and some nice work overall... Except Jo.. I too was watching him and let's face it - he is fucking done. Playing out the string then needs to retire cause ain't no one asking for him... As for the SB... Chiefs by 5

  16. Missed the game while hanging with grandkids but hopefully not today's. I have no interest in the NFL and the over-hyped Super Bowl Sunday is a bore for me.

As for our Habs, it looks like many of the right teams won last night, invluding the Avs over Florida, and the BJs over the Leafs. May these trends continue. JHFFB! Show those Oilers.

I'm getting tired of all this trade bullshit. Kent Hughes is NOT trading Josh Anderson, or David Savard. I don't care if he doesn't trade Monahan or Edmundson. He can just walk away from 3 contracts at least at the end of the season. They don't really need any more draft picks. He has picked a lane and is staying in it.

I watched the first two periods of the SFU show and the laffs last night. Man, Cuthbert sure is up to date on all his leaf trivia. Did you know Michael Bunting scored his 50th! goal for the leaf last night as well as his 100th! point? Who the fuck is Michael Bunting anyway? Also, Li'l Mitchie has 21 points in 17 games in 2023, wow what a stat? I wonder if Cuthbert knows McJesus has 97 points in 53 games, probably not the SFU still thinks narcos is his equal LOL! Finally, did you know BJ Erik Gudbranson was coached in Kingston in the OHL by ... gasp! ... Dougie Gilmour? Anyway all that useless information means something to somebody I guess.

  18. Was catching some general sports hi-lites this morning on I think tsn...and they show the 16th hole where Adam Hadwin making the last shot of the day missed the hole in one by 17"...and the co-anchor can only say "not as wild as it was last year when guys were putting on jerseys, Remember one of them put on a Leafs jersey last year!?"

Everything MUST be about the leaf.

  19. GI Finn back, with Devo andso I guess the hope is two hard-working guys can put some lipstick on Drouin, who is really useless right now except as a not-terrible-when-motivated QB on the PP.

  20. Nice start. Habs looking solid. Watching the TSN feed. When did hickey develop a "half wall"? So American and not hockey as far as I am concerned.

Maybe he went down to the crossroads

    1. I think at this point, the CH Marketing team is aware it's not exactly their finest moment. To be fair, most other teams' cash-in alt jerseys are pretty dismal too.

  24. RDS just showed Belzile's entire shift ending with his goal. It was a lot of hard work and smart positioning all the way.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Devo just did yeoman work to negate his own scoring chance there. Having Drouin on your wing affects you.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Devo gets a breakaway and turns his back on the net... FFS

  27. Tweed gets a hard work reward there. Nice!

Despite not dropping in the standings, winning is good for the soul. That felt great, especially shutting out McJesus.

Hope the Sherriff will be OK and back soon.
