Remember back in October when all the leafool networks and Twitter idiots were trumpeting the arrival of the newest leaf stars on defence ... Meat and WrongBenn? Well, WrongBenn is now on waivers and I'm assuming Meat is playing somewhere else, AHL maybe. Those poor leafools will grasp at any straw. It's going to be so enjoyable (again) when that wretched team is dispatched in the first round again. Boy Genius and his lapdog young Sheldon don't have much time left in tranna I suspect.
PP back to sucking... I despise and loath with all the passion I can summon within me the fucking "drop the puck back to the goal line" approach to how they start each breakout on the power play. Kill, stab and shoot whoever it is that teaches this to grown ass hockey players. It's a fuckin g bullshit soccer approach h and it needs to be banned like the low five was.
Friday night's game aside, as Philly's players are obviously trying to get Torts fired, I'll be glad to see some real NHL players on the Habs again. Preferably this October.
What the hell happened? I went for a piss and the Habs took a shit…oh well, I guess they shouldn’t really win that many anyway. Lost my feed so I’ll catch the lowlights in the morning*. Night all !
It's just crazy how many injuries to good players have occurred. Dach out indefinitely now and X-man done for the year. They are getting Guhle back however so that's good news. I don't see Hughes trading away all the chaff, they do need bodies and it's not fair to decimate Laval with call-ups. I'm curious what's up with Monahan, I don't know why it's such a big secret.
I only got the #3 pick with my tankathon spin this morning.
GM Kent Hughes keeps swapping magic beans for real beef.... 12th overall pick in 2015, 6' 3", 205lb 25 year old winger Gurianov for 34 year old Dadonov, what's not to like?
Also, whilst here, can I just mention, and we all know it, what a disgusting puke ron mclame is, along with braindead idiot gary gawley promoting the stupidest trade rumour I've heard yet on the pile of shit network that sportsnet is? Imagine Kent Hughes would acquire his former client and Montreal native Mike Matheson, who is playing fucking great hockey, only to flip him for what, exactly, a few months later? Are these people, on a national network that fucking stupid? Or are they hoping people will actually watch their pile of shit network on TDL day? Not a fucking chance!
Soni found this when trying to figure out if the new guy - Denis - had any french connections... Turns out he doesn't... But it reads quite well... A highly skilled forward who intimidates with his speed and proficient puckhandling ability, Denis Guryanov may have one of the highest ceilings as a forward prospect for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Very strong on his skates and uses his size to protect the puck well. Drives the net hard and knows where he will shoot before he is even in a position to do so. Possesses a heavy and accurate release on his shot, which he likes to get off near the faceoff dots; if he can't shoot from there, he will either dangle or bull his way through to the blue paint. While he is proactive and aware defensively, he still needs to work on consistency in his own end. All-in-all, a dynamic offensive threat that has room to grow defensively
I always wonder in trades like this what a team like Dallas, first in their division sees in a player like Dadonov vs the player they are giving up. I suppose it's all about numbers and salary cap space for Dallas to make more moves. Anyway, good for Daddy-O getting at shot at the playoffs and a free look for the Habs at a younger version for the remaining 20ish games.
Dallas is coached by Peter DeBoer, who previously coached Vegas and he had Dadanov there, and liked him. So, he is a veteran coach who likes veteran players. However, I just read that the new guy, Gurianov is a perimeter player, maybe a bigger version of Sergei Samsonov, remember him?
Vaguely. What I remember most about him is he was selected in the first round by the Bruins the same year they grabbed big Joe at #1. (I think I watched a documentary or something about that) And a few picks later, the Habs took Jason Ward one spot ahead of Marian Hossa. :-(
Only 4 days and 2 Habs games before TDL. With all the moves being made beforehand, poor tsn will have sfa to report or discuss this Friday especially with their leaf having made all their moves, presumably. James Duthie and his gigantic panel will be sitting around all day picking their noses and scratching their balls. That, and the O-dog eating pizza.
Hopefully, we Habs fans won't have to watch #27 float around much longer. That's the move I'm most interested in. They can keep the Hoff for another year as far as I'm concerned. I would put more effort into moving G.I. Finn, trade him to Edmonton for Poolparty,
Watching the Bruins -Oilers game tonight is like watching a different league compared to the Habs. Then again, half the team are AHL calibre so I guess it makes sense.
I won't be tuning into any SFU trade 'frenzy' but will keep an eye on whether HuGo can work any magic. I do wonder if Colorado gives JD a 20 game look with Habs eating half his salary to see if there is anything there. But they've made a couple small moves already.
Hey the M Sundays game vs the K-niggits is on at 7 our time. You know there's a certain team named for compost material that would have at least had the Friday night game played at 9pm EST. Maybe even 8. Fuck those people on the west coast that actually work until 5.
Jack Campbell .... wasn't he a leafool Vezina candidate not long ago? Yeah, that pic above with the bullhorn sure is appropriate.
ReplyDeleteI read the Subtle Art... During lockdown. Good read!

ReplyDeleteYep, it hasn't (ever) been fixed in Safari. I use Firefox on the iPAd.
DeleteTankathon liked it, on my second spin 2nd overall pick. Which may be better than first. Bedard is risky.

That entire panel last night looked like a COTU wet dream... And I had the sound off!
ReplyDeleteSo Daddy's gone for a younger bigger model. I like it.
And RIP Gordon Pinsent... 😥
There's a reason I created the header pics. SFU are one sick bunch.
DeleteI’ve come to learn that nothing you do on this awesome blog is “accidental”…hehehe…That’s why we love it so…😎k3x

ReplyDeleteIn all respects, a younger, more intimidating and harder-working upgrade on Daddynot.
