Those are some sexy ladies, past and present.

Some cherished players and hopefully some future ones as well, the Big 3 plus Bach and Rock.

    1. Thx Bro.

Habs young D has immense potential.

They can slash, dash, bash and cash it in.

Going to be fun watCHing them.

Captain Hook signed to a new deal and the Habs are over the cap by either a Dvo or Hoff contract.

    1. As things stand, the Habs will probably improve a lot but just miss the playoffs this year, which is right on track.

    2. the Maritimer1:19 PM

It will probably depend on other team's fortunes. For example, Boston and Tampa may be weaker, Florida is hurting on defence to start, will Buffalo, Ottawa, Detroit improve? And, of course, will injuries be a factor, for the Habs or any team? All things being equal, I think the Habs young D will be exposed from time to time plus it will depend on the goaltending. It will certainly be interesting going forward. I expect HuGo has another trick or two up their sleeves as well.

      Delete
    3. If they stay healthy, I honestly think they are a wildcard team. At worst, i'm with SiM and they just miss. I don't see them finishing bottom 10. If they are all stupidly injured a large amount again, this is all out the window.

      Delete
    4. I expect they could get off yo a pretty good start, given that otger tesms will underestimate them - unless injuries again.

Its going to be a very hard summer according the weather reports. ( I saw the pictures)
Michkov news indicates he is a turd storm. Now this could all be fake news. However whats true is he refused to attend PHUCKTARDS make fuck on ice development camp, and Danny BEER, spit up in the can.
Hugo does not want to make the playoffs this year. He wants to season this group, like a good brisket in a slow cooker. Hugo does not use pellets, no he uses logs, and calculates continiously got get a good beef that beat a hog.
First casualty of this stratagy is Jordan Harris, a young lad we all feared would go free agent pro.
The fact is if we have ROCK ROCK the ROCK at small dimensions, we can not afford to have one more defenseman who is not a beast, a animal in the crease that makes Leaf cease and defesee.
In two years we are going to GOLDEN SHOWERS the leauge with our piss depth.

In other news, DoHarm is off to Vegas to destroy some scoring prospect's confidence. Good, it would be nice to see that franchise fall on its face.

He was not the worst 3rd round draft pick ever. However, he should have been seasoned in JR and the first time his dad poked his nose into the biz, its should have been poked real hard and real plain. Good Luck gCHuck.

  17. hi guys... been a long time since ive checked in. im still not over losing vs trampy the way we did. still super proud of that team, but as ive always felt, to hell with what all the experts have to say. and be dammed if u ever feel the need to rely on the expetise and wisdom of others if u are too blind to observe with your own eyes. that bunch did exactly what they were supposed to do: combine as a team to engage against the skaters facing you. do a better job of it and expect to emergece victorious.

the reason why im writing this now is b/c i just caught wind of something relevant. that run maybe never woulda happened unless nature boy and cc scored that OT winner and that wouldnt have happened unless somebdoy didnt give up that puck

Hey, welcome back oleg, our west coast tree hugger! Just kidding!

That 2021 run was special and in a lot of ways proved ol' bargainbin was right, that once you get into the playoffs, all bets are off. There were many circumstances that propelled Montreal to that Final. The North Division. gCHuk's cough up. Solid goaltending and timely scoring. The Habs lost because Tampon Bay were the ultimate cheaters, $18mil over the cap.

And yes, I go by what my eyes tell me, not a bunch of numbers. I think this young Habs team will surprise some of the 'experts' this season if they are healthy. And, don't discount the MSL factor as well. Sure, they will go through some rough stretches but I expect them to be competitive.

Goul, Austrian Kid, sex offender and one more will destroy the NHL as we know it, and make them change the rules. You can only have so much weight and height on D by order of Buttman.

The medium is the message and in the case of sports teams its dollars. So if you can fuck with the minds of your players to the extent they will take winning over dollars, you might win the cup. This is a challange even Benjiman Skinner would not accept. HUGO is taking it on the forehead. So far so good, CC whiskey selling way below market value. Lets see what happens with the rest. Hoff and REM for 75% of a Dish, CdS, a local prospect for Laval and a 2nd round pick. That in itself is good, but I too expect they will flip Dish for a pick, perhaps retaining 25% themselves so a trade partner would only be paying for 50% of his salary and cap.

So Habs will have 1.75M and 2.43M towards the cap for Eddie and Dish. Still less than the 4.5M for.Hoffman.

Plus they get a 2nd and 4th and three players who may or may not ever don the sweater at the NHL level for the Habs but worse case scenario they are in the minors or parts of other trades. This RD from Detroit has potential though but I doubt he starts with the big club.

MB and his loyalty/dog statement about the best defenceman they've had since Desjardin - cemented my hate for him.

HuGo and the Habs are building up some serious good will around the league by treating players with respect. REM wanted a new start, he got it. Some folks wanted Hoff buried in the minors, nope, does he know his way to San Jose? You betcha! Dish wanted to go home to Detroit and HuGo obliged him. Seriously, that is high end classy treatment. No way are GI Finn or Dvo disrespected either. HuGo will get it done and done right.

bargainbin's problems were he made everything personal and his ego was as inflated as his biceps. Indeed, his shoddy treatment of the General was unforgivable. I only hope Molson makes it right with Markov someday. Saku too.

  56. Well I guess the rePetry-ation is now in Yzerman's capable hands. Smart move again on HuGo's parts to keep the player's needs top of mind (gotta enroll the kids in school, and they already know the Detroit area so well, you have to think this is a huge relief to the man and his clan). And all carried out with respect.

Will Dish hurt us, being in a division rival? That it isn't even in question shows they don't expect that to matter for the coming season or two. The rebuild is still a emwork in progress (as it needs to be).

As for Baun, that got me wondering what is more likely to happen first? Leafs win a cup or the last surviving member of the '67 cup passes?

Realistically the youngest player might have been 20 or so? So 74 years old(ish). The current Leafs should have another decade, maybe two if they're lucky, to win one.

    1. My take.

      1. The intent was never for the Petry's to come back to Montreal. Hughes used the situation to gather draft capital and players/prospects which may or may not work out. And moved out $5.6M in the process while eating 2.3 x 2 for Dish. Not bad.

      2. I hope this shows other players around the league how reasonable Mr Hughes is to deal with, and not just when you decide you'd rather be playing someplace else. It has the potential to attract names that otherwise may have shy'd away from signing in Montreal.

      Delete
    2. the Maritimer6:17 PM

I believe GMs talk to each other all the time.
Hughes saw an opportunity to move out Hoff, who no one wanted, because Dubas was desperate to acquire EK. Hughes knew he could move Dish easily so it was an easy decision. Picking up extra draft picks and acquiring cap space was gravy. Or cranberry sauce.

      Delete
  60. the Maritimer9:06 PM

"I believe that as we accumulate draft capital - and we've used it in the past - it probably gives us a little bit of a luxury to maybe slightly overpay to acquire a player that we want that can help us compete in the window that we believe we can do it in," Hughes said Tuesday.

Why not take MitchBitCH. First is the only team to win a cup with a 10 mill player is covered in golden showers. That may go down well in Trumpland but not in La Bell provicne. Yes Bell owns Quebec. HUGO is making a team that can beat a core 4.

The Saint John Sea Dogs open training camp today. Wow, summer is indeed winding down. Still, lots of warm days ahead. I played golf in Sussex, about 45 minutes east of S.J. Teed off at 10:30am, it was warm but pleasant. When we finished it was reading 33 degrees on the truck outside thermometer. Man, it was hot!. Managed to shoot a 94 on a long course with rounded greens, it was a tough go!

Been reading up on Habs prospects on various sites. Most agree Montreal has lots of depth and good young players but lack that 'elite' prospect up front. They should have take a chance on Mitchkov, Hughes may end up regretting passing on MM. I highly doubt the big Slovakian kid will be elite. It's more likely JS will be more like Nail Yakupov. Just my take anyway.

Not bragging up the Pats either, while Mac may be better than Daniel, I don't see star QB in his future. 2 chances to win near the end and failed. Could've brought old man Brady down from Kraft's booth and he would have done it with his eyes closed. They were going on about Mac having the 2nd highest completion percentage ever over the first two years. It's because most of his passes are 5 yards or less. I hope he proves me wrong, but without a star WR to catch balls it will be a tough career.
