Yeah, way to early to panic. That being said, I just wish they would get their shit together on special teams. And for God's sake, quit putting Savard out in the final minutes, he should be relegated to 3rd pairing duties. HondaCivic is the better RHD.
Hey, that nurse looks like she's getting ready to do a prostate exam! I'll volunteer!
Forgot to mention, Josh Roy with the hat trick and two apples last night, he might be the scoring leader in the AHL. Impressive for a 20 year old 1st year player. I hope HuGo lets him ripen down there for the year unless, God forbid, the injury train wreck takes over again.
Ovie in a slump to start the year. The Caps are looking old and slow. More of that please and hopefully Jake Allen puts in a better effort than game 1. Oh, and stay out of the damn penalty box! And don't draw any fouls either! Just play 5 on 5 the whole game!
I like the new Stones album. Sounds like the old Stones albums. Hope the Caps don't wake up tonight. Just fuckin...actually...stay the fuck outta the box (STFOTB)
That was a pretty 'meh' period, 1 goal, 5(?) shots and there is very little chemistry between some of the lines. There is still a lot of growing to do with this team.
Strangely enough, I find it less stressful to watch the game with no commentary. Kinda like watching live at the rink. No Galley yapping constantly is a blessing...
is this gonna be one of those games where they run out to a pretty straightforward lead through hard work and clever play, only to then collapse steps from victory?
lip! hahhaaha... take that whoever it was saying hes washed up with 4 more yrs to go.
secretly, i silently agree and fear the same, but down and dirty? his off wing wrist shot used to be money (most days) but this is where he has been eeking out his living for the past few yr with dano, pleky, and lekhy(?)
as bad as snake and monty are, the craps have darcy kuemper as their no.1?!? really!?!? darcy freaking keumper!?!?! is washington supposed to be crap this year or something?
Speaking of Whiskey, @Young HabsFan29, I picked up (on sale) at ANLB, a bottle of Ardmore single malt scotch and a nice bourbon -- 1872 -- can't wait to try it.
Yeah, take the 2 points but man are they frustrating to watch. And yeah, Alex Burrows, what good is he? Bring back the General to run the PP, what have they got to lose?
Time to bring out the eMTy blender. RHP -- a flash in the pan -- put Newhook with Nature and Whiskey. Hopefully Dvo can play next game, he becomes the 3rd line center with Lep and Rawhide. MoneyHab gets Powerhorse and RHP.
I left with 10 minutes to go and they end up needing OT. The pp...or lack there of is a shambles. Twice they shit the bed with a 5 on 3...Burrows has ONE JOB!
Red Barron looked just fine, which was good to see. He might just work out. The crazy amount of chintzy penalty calls (both ways) is detrimental. Nature had a good game, and so did most of the Habs. Powerhorse not the smartest decision-maker with the puck a lot of the time. The Caps' #8 is nowhere near the dangerous guy he once was. Hope he's scored his last NHL goal, actually.
The M - you're decision mute the game was very wise. The disdain that Gawley has towards the Habs is insane. Isn't he from Montreal? Pissed they didn't draft him or trade for him?
Pointing out the 'obvious' penalties the Habs were taking and how chincy the Caps calls were. Other comments which angered me at the time which I've thankfully let slide away...
Anyway it's football day. Not gonna watch the Bills crush my Pats thank you very much. Think I'll check out the Lions/Ravens since I have players in the game.
Hey of course was actually keeping an eye on the Pats and whaddya know? They're hanging in there! Buffalo actually looks pretty bad. Didn't stick with the other game long, Lions down 28-0 at.the half and all. I feel that's my fault.
New Rolling Stones album is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteFave cut is the song of the day.

Bass is Paul McCartney
DeleteRaunchy and raw. Bit of a Sex Pistols feel to it.

Bend over !
DeleteGI Finn recalled, that will give some fans somebody to rag on for a while.

ReplyDeleteSure hat trick for Ovi tonight.
DeleteMost likely
DeleteA couple of melons mixed in with that pumpkin patch.
ReplyDeleteI like the Stones though I was more of a The Who guy. But for some octogenarians and an undead Keith Richards, they sound alright.
ReplyDeleteSN shrills tell me a battle of two underwhelming .500 teams is the 'marquis matchup' to watch tonight.
ReplyDeleteFuck you s-Bet, I don't give a crap what sheldon has to say and I care even less about your prima donna leaf bitches. *Mute*

ReplyDeleteMoneyHab!
ReplyDeleteMonahab!
ReplyDeleteNot sure what to make if that period...Alain looked solid - so that's good.

ReplyDeleteAt the cottage
ReplyDeleteNeed you guys to keep me updated
Go Ana
Go Habs
STFOTB!
ReplyDeleteOvechkin, that Putin-loving asshole, stayed on the ice for all 120 seconds of that power play and didn't help his team one iota.
ReplyDeleteLep!
ReplyDeleteGally's alive!
ReplyDeleteJust a matter of time before those old vets broke through.
ReplyDeletelip! hahhaaha... take that whoever it was saying hes washed up with 4 more yrs to go.

Ok...a slightly more exciting period...Hang in there boys!
ReplyDeleteThe dreaded two goal lead...
ReplyDeleteCash it...without that fucking back pass
ReplyDeleteHang in there boys...I'm outta here...Thanks Moe!
ReplyDeleteas bad as snake and monty are, the craps have darcy kuemper as their no.1?!? really!?!? darcy freaking keumper!?!?! is washington supposed to be crap this year or something?
ReplyDeleteThat was inevitable. OT is looming now.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for overchicken to hang them up
ReplyDeleteGo Habs
Can't defend a lead worth a damn
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the 6 on 5 goal...
ReplyDelete.......and there it is.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they get a point out of this shitshow.
ReplyDeleteFire Alex Burrows.
ReplyDeleteUntil that happens, you know this team isn't serious about winning.
Savard? Really Marty? WTF!
ReplyDeleteWashington looked old and slow but played with structure and hung around. The useless Habs PP allows this.
ReplyDeleteWhiskey!!
ReplyDeleteWhiskey!
ReplyDeleteLucky.......
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Whiskey, @Young HabsFan29, I picked up (on sale) at ANLB, a bottle of Ardmore single malt scotch and a nice bourbon -- 1872 -- can't wait to try it.
ReplyDelete'sigh'... like the win, hate hate hate hate the way they did it.
ReplyDeletei called it at 8:05, M called it at 9:37. nobody needed to call anybody to know the pp would be so suck.
fml. dammm this team

ReplyDeleteAn extra hour or two of sleep

ReplyDeleteBut you know what ..a win is a win is a win...JFW!

Go...Lions?!
Gawley is the worst, never shuts up and is a Habs hater. sportsBet knows this and deliberately puts him on every Habs broadcast.
DeleteSure you don't want to watch the Bills/Pats...?
Giants look good today so far. D is playing well and no Daniel Jones thus no turnovers.
Hey of course was actually keeping an eye on the Pats and whaddya know? They're hanging in there! Buffalo actually looks pretty bad. Didn't stick with the other game long, Lions down 28-0 at.the half and all. I feel that's my fault.

ReplyDeleteThe Pats still have a little bite in them.
How about them Steelers !
