So, I was near toronto for the weekend and stayed at my aunt's place in Kitchener... We went to a couple parties, came home ... My uncle recorded the leaf game, he's a fan ... He poured us some nice 12year old rum and proceeded to replay the game ... It goes without saying/seeing (I haven't heard a leaf game on snet for years) ... ... but the level of pure biased fanaticism by cuthurt and simpleton is truly off the charts. These clowns salivate at everything leaf, rarely mentioning the Pens, even Sid. They live in a truly F'd up blue&white world. Pens won 3-2.
In addition to not having scored yet all season, note that he also hasn't scored since he ended last season getting injured as he crashed the net. It must really be preying on him.
Henry Kissinger finally dead, on the day Rosalynn Carter was laid to rest. Jimmy, you're okay to go now, you glorious, beautiful beast of an American hero you.
Tuned in for the last 6 minutes, pleasantly surprised to see them not buried by 3 or 4 goals and actually get a late winner. Well done! Just make sure Laine gets on the plane with you and leave GI Finn as a replacement gift.
Knee update: One month to the day today since the surgery. The healing is slow going but I'm making good progress with getting the rehab, the range of motion is nearly complete. Speaking with my fellow knee class patients, they say it takes about two months to get to the finish line. The only thing I find is my leg is still achy, still need Tylenol and ice a few times a day.
I think I mentioned before, a friend had (separately) a hip replacement and a knee replacement, and the knee recovery was by FAR, a much longer rehab. It was definitely in the 2-3 month range before she was running a marathon (OK, not a marathon, but walking everyday pain free at least).
The Habs up to 4 regulation wins! Woohoo! Just behind those teams with 5 regulation wins, the Sharks, Blackhawks, Wild, Kraken, and........the mighty leaf.
It looks like Full Monty is playing his way out of Montreal, Edmonton had their asst. GM, hed pro scout and goaltending scout at the game last night. As Sherlock Holmes would say: "The game is afoot!" Maybe Powerlesshorse would like to go play with McD to revive his game?
Habs need to keep Monty...give em Alain. No game for me tonight...Internet issues with a new fibre installation means I'm going to bed early! JFW. RIP Shane McGowan...Happy St. Andrews Day..
Well, that's enough of that. Primeau not looking so Primo. If this management has any interest in winning, turn the net over to Monty, play Jake every 4th or 5th game and let CP go.
HondaCivic! And it all started with Strobelight super smart 3D chess on two Panthers forecheckers to get the puck out of thrir zone. That guy's a keeper.
Maybe HuGo figured that the season was toast when Dach went down and are doing a subtle Tank by doing the 3 goalie thing plus throwing Cayden to the wolves (NJ, Vegas, Fla). Otherwise yeah, it makes no sense.
Good for Monty! I hope it's not a sign and trade thing. They need to send Primeau to Laval ASAP. He is an AHL goalie, possibly a borderline NHL backup you can throw into games with weak opponents. If someone wants to claim him so be it.
At this point I would rape and plunder the Oilers for Monty, make sure of a top 5 pick and call it victory. We do not have a single player that is certified double OO lic to kill on any shift.
Who is this Mitchell guy? Why not Roy? Me thinks that the three goalie thing and the effin injuries indicate the the tank is being fired up With the number of teams bottom bouncing it will require the tank to get a decent pick Nice to see powerhorse get pissed and face punched that ruskie maybe that’s what he needs to get his mojo working Go Powerhorse Go Habs

Yes, it is vomit inducing, when the Habs are the opposition, you have to mute the sound.
DeleteJust win, stay outta the box and GYFHG!
ReplyDeleteUgh, game on SN so no matter what it's gonna suck.
ReplyDeleteThis feels like watching some lower level of hockey because both teams are pretty meh.
ReplyDeleteArmia is a waste of space tonight.
ReplyDeleteTJ!
ReplyDeleteGuhle. NEVER clear the puck up the middle.
ReplyDeleteCC!
ReplyDeleteWhiskey!
ReplyDeleteIf Anderson doesn't score vs his former team, he may just be well on his way to pulling a Gomez.
ReplyDeleteGod, let it not be so. He is the only player we have who scored a GWG in a SCF game.
DeleteIn addition to not having scored yet all season, note that he also hasn't scored since he ended last season getting injured as he crashed the net. It must really be preying on him.
DeleteStill no Power plays for either side. Weee-ard
ReplyDeleteF*n jinxed it, din I?
DeleteStrobelight played so smart on that sequence
ReplyDeleteHenry Kissinger finally dead, on the day Rosalynn Carter was laid to rest. Jimmy, you're okay to go now, you glorious, beautiful beast of an American hero you.
ReplyDeleteHell just got much hotter.
DeleteGI Finn!
ReplyDeleteOkay, GI Finn, you're not THAT much of a waste of space I guess.I take it back.
ReplyDeleteOkay, Monty, let's not hear any more of tgat Goddamn cannon tonight, 'kay?
ReplyDeleteLindström! Return of the umlauts!
ReplyDeleteNice win.

A long haul to be sure. Stick with it. Better dsys to come.

DeleteA win
ReplyDeleteA dadario
An Ana
And 820 million for English advocacy organizations
Awesome
Great day
Go Habs
RIP Shane MacGowan, one of the most inspired songwriters of our time.
ReplyDeleteBury me at sea where no murdered ghost can haunt me
If I rock upon the waves, no corpse can lie upon me
Pure Irish punk with great lyrics. Rest in Peace.
DeleteThe Habs up to 4 regulation wins! Woohoo! Just behind those teams with 5 regulation wins, the Sharks, Blackhawks, Wild, Kraken, and........the mighty leaf.
ReplyDeleteImagine if the refs and war room hacks favoured the Habs like they do their leaf.
DeleteEven with his repaired knee, theM has as many goals as (notso)PowerHorse.
ReplyDeleteHe heh. Poor Josh, he sure is snake bit.
DeleteIt looks like Full Monty is playing his way out of Montreal, Edmonton had their asst. GM, hed pro scout and goaltending scout at the game last night. As Sherlock Holmes would say: "The game is afoot!" Maybe Powerlesshorse would like to go play with McD to revive his game?
Aurevoir Alexandra.
ReplyDeleteDecember FHFbabe is 100% retro.
G Y F H G !
Sniff...goodbye!
DeletePoker night for me
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling it's a good game to skip but I'll record it just in case they surprise me.
I might join later like last night, that seemed to work...
DeleteLouis Cyr/Sheriff/Wifi spotted in morning skate - in a full-contact jersey. Huzzah!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to CHommodore Perry on beating the monkey off his back. May he get all the help he needs to prosper once again.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to the CHommodore, he was a great leader on that Habs team in 2021 with Price and Weber. Plus, he was a Habs fan growing up.
DeleteHabs need to keep Monty...give em Alain. No game for me tonight...Internet issues with a new fibre installation means I'm going to bed early! JFW. RIP Shane McGowan...Happy St. Andrews Day..
ReplyDeleteDirty hit on TJ. Hope he didn't get a ligament injury.
ReplyDeleteSeems fine
DeleteBarron shoulda passed to Slaf
ReplyDeleteCP30 looking sharp so far.
ReplyDeleteHorrid officiating. Calls are completely random.
Good effort, poor powerhorse. Pro tip from my Kodi friend. Watch on the crew addon. Golden Golden Steaming.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Hook is done now. How can one team have so much bad luck?
ReplyDeleteIt defies logic. But I note it's the same ankle I he got twisted on that first period non-call.
DeleteWell, that's enough of that. Primeau not looking so Primo. If this management has any interest in winning, turn the net over to Monty, play Jake every 4th or 5th game and let CP go.
ReplyDeleteHondaCivic! And it all started with Strobelight super smart 3D chess on two Panthers forecheckers to get the puck out of thrir zone. That guy's a keeper.
ReplyDeleteWatched the highlights. Primeau didn't look good on any of those goals. Maybe screened on the last one.
ReplyDeleteI found it odd the played Monty vs the weaker BJs but maybe the want to fluff up his stats to increase his trade value. Otherwise it makes no sense..
CP30 was great until the third, when suddenly Florida figured out his achilles heel, glove side, and brutalized him for it.
DeleteOh and I see that Pens goalie Tristan Jarry now has more goals than Josh Anderson.
ReplyDeleteMaybe HuGo figured that the season was toast when Dach went down and are doing a subtle Tank by doing the 3 goalie thing plus throwing Cayden to the wolves (NJ, Vegas, Fla). Otherwise yeah, it makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteThat was brutal in more ways than one.
ReplyDeleteGotta buckle up for the season. Tightly.
Monty signed for 3x$3.15 per.
ReplyDeleteSign and trade ?
DeleteAt this price I'd keep him.
For sure keep him.
DeleteGood for him. Maybe playing as a true #1 he will shine. Here's hoping!
DeleteGood for Monty! I hope it's not a sign and trade thing. They need to send Primeau to Laval ASAP. He is an AHL goalie, possibly a borderline NHL backup you can throw into games with weak opponents. If someone wants to claim him so be it.
ReplyDeleteIf Roberto Luongo says Monty can be a #1, that's good enough for me.
ReplyDeleteSame with Marc Denis.
DeleteAt this stage I would risk waiving CP30 if not getting any value via trade for he or Jake.
ReplyDeleteAt this point I would rape and plunder the Oilers for Monty, make sure of a top 5 pick and call it victory. We do not have a single player that is certified double OO lic to kill on any shift.
DeleteI just watCHed powerhorse fight. He filled that rat. Why that Russkie did not go down I dont know.
ReplyDeleteWho is this Mitchell guy?
ReplyDeleteWhy not Roy?
