Weber was a good Habs Captain.

    Amazing in his final playoffs.

He gave us some great moments.

Thanks to all generations of veterans, in any role they played, to safeguard our freedoms vs. fascism.

Sad to see we may need new heroes and heroines today moving forward.

    1. My stepson showed me a disturbing vid of a Hitler speech, in English, with happy white young shining faces. I told him Hitler never gave any speeches in English. He said they angicized it using AI.

      !!!!!!!!

As I prophesized in my song, Untermenschen (Bush/Cheney era), a new bunch if Brownshirts are on the rise. It sucks to be rihht about that.

      This blogger fights fascists.

  9. Two shots in the first period ain't gonna get it done....

  10. Oh...and 3 shots a period isn't gonna win you shit...just saying.

  11. 2 shots on goal 15 min in. Why?

No need to discuss the terrible play by Josh on the goal.

Line 1 has deteriorated a lot since adding Dach for Slaf. Enough, put the kid back where he belongs and deal with the fact that it might take the season for Dach to find his game.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yeah, Dach is a line killer right now. I'd drop him to the 3rd line and put Slaf back on the 1st line. The losses are going to be piling up so why not? You would at least get SOME production out of your top 3. Wasn't Hook, Army and Lep a good line last year as well? Might as well keep what works.

    2. Good call, the M. But I imagine they'll hold off til 20 games in.

    3. That's 6 more losses then. Good thing Marty and company are more interested in developing than winning.

  15. People wanted to trade Gallagher because of his contract, that would literally cut the heart out of this team.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I would bench Suzuki and Matheson for the rest of the game. Seriously.

  17. and THAT the reason why GIJöel never needs to dress for us ever again.

a guy with position, a size advantage, everything on the play in his favour, and he goes for a stick poke in the neutral zone. instead of a huge hit pk would be proud of, he screws it up to be a penalty... and one which causes us to lose the game now.

    thnx u stupid bitch!

  19. Where is the hate? That is what's missing. And doesn't Pez usually play well against his hometown team? Why isn't he in the lineup?

    1. What's the Habs record with/without Pez in the lineup?

  20. I think you have to go back to the late 90s early 2000s for a team of heartless softies to match this one. Has any forward thrown a hit tonight? I don't think so. If I was the GM, there would be quite a few of these players on waivers tomorrow heading to Laval. Armia, Dvorak, Anderson, less than useless. How much longer is Kent Hughes going to allow this shit to go on? I'd hate to break up a good thing going on in Laval but there are more deserving players who should be in Montreal. This just embarrassing now. Bag skate these wimps again tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  21. It makes quite a difference watching a game with the sound off. You can really notice what certain players are doing without the constant chatter of play by play. Montreal's play tonight is atrocious.

    ReplyDelete
  22. i wasnt gonna comment again, but dammit, the boys have fight. lotsa minor positives in that they didnt mail it in this last period

  23. I'll tune out to give them a shot.

  25. My final comment of the night. I've watched the Canadiens play hockey for nearly 60 years. I remember the bad teams of Reggie Houle and so on. I've seen some bad coaching, Therrien twice. This might be the worst I've ever seen. I don't mind a loss but I fucking hate seeing my team not give a shit. This crap would not be tolerated by players like Beliveau, Cournoyer, Robinson, Gainey, Carbonneau, Muller, Chelios and on and on. This bunch should be ashamed but they probably won't be because they get paid regardless. You can have all the talent in the world but it's useless if you won't try. Fuck.

    Clued out on purpose tonight.

The ONLY true Hab player left is Gally.

The pride of being a Hab is not there.

The ‘rebuild’ needs some serious inward looking.

Vodkov was a true Hab. Carbonneau. Robinson.

Talent is one thing and a bonus.

    Heart is needed.

  27. I guess it's time to start paying attention to the 2025 draft class.
A top 5 looks like a sure thing and a real chance at top 3. Wonder if there is a bona fide #1C to pair with Demi?

  32. I predict 5 more losses in a row. This feels a lot like the Ducharme era. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Did Decharmless not have some high fluting x and o's as well. Maybe its time to KISS theory until they can master the basics. Like unless its a PP there should never be a man, (person) in front of the net alone. The stretCH pass is a stretCH to far. The laffs have a new north south stragagy, we have a new no direction stratagy. I wonder if the players are getting fed up with data overload.

  34. He heh, the NY Giants ... just like the 1980s Atlanta Braves ... still finding ways to lose. That's a Star Trek TNG Easter egg btw. Saint Paddy will probably get it.

  35. Know how I said I do a little bit of gambling. I put $2 on a ticket today that would pay out $1500. Thank you to the M's Giants for losing right away (3 pt diff is actually considered a tie), so I don't need to watch the rest of the games since I picked the G-men to win.

  36. Lots of commenting about the state of the Habs over at EOTP. I usually ignore that chatter for the most part but a lot of those people are seeing the same things I am so it's not just me. Being patient is one thing but ignoring a big problem will lead to a rebellion from the players eventually. Personally, after thinking it over, I feel Marty may be trying to teach advanced concepts for players who just aren't ready for that. A simple game structure and a good assistant coach like Gerard Gallant may be what is needed to get them back on track. Never mind 'being in the mix' this year is another write off. Just get the team straightened out.

Washington is a prime example of how a talented QB can turn your team around. I can only hope my Giants can find that guy in 2025 to replace the deplorable Daniel Jones.

    Agree with The Maritimer
Teach advanced D concepts to advanced D players not newbies
Besides I think Marty is more of an esoteric coach type guru jedi person
We need to reset back to fundamentals brass tacks and start all over kind of thing
This reminds me of doharm and the doharm system of confusion
The look on the ice is eerily similar
Putting up a win against barfalo isn’t going to bring us to the promised land
I remember thinking at the beginning of the MSL era that he wasn’t so much the man for the job as he was the man for the moment but I’m starting to think his effective moment has passed
    Go Habs

    ReplyDelete
  41. So, dead last, 32nd in the gary buttman circuit. No need to go to the Tankathon site, the Habs are leading in the James Hagen/Michael Misa sweepstakes. Even doormats San Jose, Anaheim, Chicago and Columbus are farther along in their rebuilds. Or did they pick better players? Or have better coaches? We'll find out eventually but I think this losing streak will be historic.
