Not getting too excited over any of these games right now. Trying to keep my BP in check. Also still can't believe what I witnessed in Washington yesterday. Z has one option remaining - he's gotta have Putin whacked.

    CHester10:48 AM
Saw a CNN interview with Rice an Obama woman and she said the white house thing was a setup. Z was set up to put on a show for putin. So the orange rapist and his puppy could make Z look weak and bad. So Z just fucking left. Americant is putins puppy now. It's so clear. So the west solders on without the fucking americants all the leaders are on record saying so and good on them The world now has two clear bad guys. That chinese guy doesn't look so bad now does he?

    the Maritimer11:23 AM
Without a doubt that was a setup. FHFriends, that was a shakedown, american gangsterism at it's finest. The orange felon has proven beyond a shadow of doubt he is a fucking crook, he and his boot licking sycophants. They are only interested in one thing, accumulating as much wealth as possible in as short a time as possible. The western world needs to turn it's collective back on this administration until such time as the Democrats, the judiciary, maybe the military and any Republican with intestinal fortitude say enough is enough, time for you assholes to go. They are an embarrassment on the world stage. And as SiM said : dangerous.

  80. This is excellent news on 7evans! It's almost like if you treat players with respect they will repay it to you. A great team friendly deal for sure, I have no doubt some team would have given him 3.5 or more per in UFA.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Like Chester, I could see them dumping Devo if anybody wanted to part ways with their favourite coffee mug for him. Get a 2nd line C and drop Beck to the 3rd line.
Then again a guy that can at least win faceoffs in the playoffs is valuable so hang onto him and let him walk after the season? Same with Savvy, he has playoff value as an own rental, but I also agree shoring up the D isn't a terrible plan.

My other idea I wouldn't be mad about...he's 32...he's signed at $6M per for 3 more years so it's a bit high and a year too long, but bring back the first guy HuGo traded. Bring back Teapot Toffoli. Bring back Toffee!

They are a very twitchy organization. The number of players they dumped who flourished elsewhere is long and star studded. I'm sure Hugo could get them to bite on some picks and a throw in from somewhere .... maybe a three way. Hugo is very creative.

I just worry about taking on another reclamation project rather than a player where you know what you're getting for the next couple of years. Besides, that 2nd line C will hopefully be filled by Hage in a couple of years...though I know we won't know how/if his game translates to the pros for a couple of seasons yet.

      Delete
    2. CHester8:26 AM

The book on Hage is very positive but he's like 18 and years away. Maybe Dylan isn't the guy but going forward we need somebody who doesn't get an operation every 15 games. At least TJ Hooker is showing signs of life but he's not the answer either. I'm not as informed as to the C market out there but our 2C has been a black hole for some time now so I thing it's time to focus on that full time.
