Also, younger than Mother Nature’s son
'Ere the HuGo boat has won
As they sail into the mystiCH
Hark now, hear the sfu cry
Ça sent la Coupe avec MLP pie
Let your Cole and Demi fly
Into the mystiCH
Yeah, when that GoHabsGoal horn blows
They will be coming home
Yeah, when that GoHabsGoal horn blows
I wanna hear it
I wanna be near it
And I wanna rock your GYPSY soul
Just like way back in the days of old
Then Habnificently we will float
Into the mystiCH
When that doucherov blows
You know refs’ call will be blown
Yeah, when that fucking early whistle blows
Don't gotta hear it
I don't want to fucking fear it
And I wanna rock your GYFHG soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And together we will FHFloat
Into the mystiCH
Come on, (we got) girls
Too late to stop now !

Maurice Richard = 8 Cups
DeleteJean Beliveau = 10 Cups + 7 as an executive
Guy Lafleur = 5 Cups
Total = 23 as players
And let's not forget greats Henri Richard (11) and Yvan Cournoyer (10)
Chew on that sfu.
I love pie and Stanley Cups, in any order.
DeletePocket and Roadrunner played much bigger than their size.
A few of these smaller giants are here now.
A new generation to give us older fans something to be proud and excited about.
Sublime, moe

Perfect.
DeleteI saw Van at Massey Hall in the 80's. There was a period of years where I only listed to Van and CNSY.
ReplyDeleteThat was uplifting Moeman, and Astral Weeks is all about walking on the six astral plane, and I wish I could do it today and then I would now for sure, for sure I would know, if we are taking one more big step or a jump to the cup.
In other news our alledged gangsta Premier just got a loaded private jet because he is a baller. Fuck him, fuck all these monsters and why do they get electected. Has the IQ dropped that low, Idiocracy is no longer a movie, its a documentery.
Been saying this, in here, for decades.

‘Servile’ sfu.
I am afraid, right now I am afraid of pizza hut because someone will steal my pizza and that is the best outcome because my car is sligthly more valuable. Be like me drive a car no one will steal with a stick shift. The stereo suck and the potholes might leed to a spleen displadecemetn, but you will feel safe driving arourd as long as you dont leave your sunglasses on the dashboard,
ReplyDeleteI drive today a 2014 BMW X3 and every parking lot I park in I have to fight off human mospotos, that want the blood of my transportaion. WEEEE Can not live like like this anymore. I am real real gone in desperation. I just want to fucking go to work and back with out being attactacked and I pay big taxes for that. Please help Mr Goverment
Our young team has had an incredible season.
ReplyDeleteI think they can and will win the first round.
This means impetus.
Anything can happen.
There’s no slagging this team.
None.
Fuck tampa.
Fuck Bettman and fuck Rogers. You know if the wretched leaf were in (they're not btw, in case you haven't heard 🙂), you know damn well they'd be playing Saturday nights.
ReplyDeleteMy picks are in for our prestigious work pool. No money, just your name on a banner in the rafters. I'm defending champ, winning my first year last year.
ReplyDeleteHabs in 6
Bruins in 6
Turds in 7
Pens in 7
Oil in 5
Avs in 4
Wild in 7
VGK in 6
I hope Buffalo wins, but taking the broons. Honestly, besides the AVS and maybe Oil, any of these series could go either way.
I see we both anticipate a Habs/Bruins tilt in round 2, which would be playoff nirvana.
DeleteI was starting to be worried and then I reminded myself Cooper's team hasn't won a playoff series since their 2022 SCF loss to Colorado. They have four wins scattered over those three first-round exits. So:
ReplyDeleteHabs in 6
Broons in 7
Pens in 5
Canes in 7
Avs in 5
Wild in 7
Kuh-ninnnnnnniggets in 7
Ducks in 7 (sorry, PM Carney; and there has to be a couple upsets in Round 1)
That whole list is more of a hope than a prediction.
Habs in 6.
ReplyDeleteNo Hedman.
I'm not good at making predictions but I'll say:
ReplyDeleteHabs
Pens
Buff
Turds
AvDicks
Oil
Stars
Pissers
I submitted my box picks playoff pool and invested heavily in our Habbies.

Excellent thread Moe - as always. The Stanley Cup playoffs, an awesome parody and a slice of MLP pie...the stage is set. I did my NHL bracket challenge thingy and end up with the Habs Bruins in Round 2. I'm thinking this is Edmonton's last shot and they know it so a Habs Oilers final will put a definitive fuck you to what should be the end of the Buttman era.

ReplyDeleteHow is that even possible?
Have they told mclame yet ?
DeleteWatching Real Kyper and Bourne from Friday ... Kyper came right out and said it : "I want a rebuild like Montreal." Can we find someone like Jeff Gorton?

ReplyDeleteTried to start cooking something but I'm too nervous. I'm having bloody caesars for dinner
ReplyDeleteI just shaved my head for the first time for good luck. Kept the beard. Mrs Pad loves it.
ReplyDeleteI was once told by a lady at work that i had the best hair of all the guys in the building. But that was probably a dozen years ago...it has since started leaving me slowly but surely.
So newly bald St Pad says LFG!!!
Hey 29 glad to see you're still ticking!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to eat some celery (or my preference, pepperoni), with those Caesars.
does celery salt count?

ReplyDeleteSucks I can't find the TB fred and listen to Dave Randorf. I can't stand these two. Maybe I'll settle for TVA.
ReplyDeleteSo TB guy hits the stick and drives it into TB2 guy's face and Ghoul gets 4 minutes. Makes sense. Hee haw!
ReplyDeleteGreat first period.

ReplyDeleteI got no problem with that hit.
ReplyDeleteRefs do

ReplyDeleteTom Wilson would have got away with that.
ReplyDeleteFuck you Gary
ReplyDeleteThat rattled them
ReplyDeleteFucking bullshit.
ReplyDeleteDespite the bullshit short-handed time they've played, probably gonna want more than 5 shots to try to win a hockey game.

DeleteHe was incredible. Stared them down. Taught them a lesson.
DeleteHuge timeout by MSL.
ReplyDeleteWhat a win, I'm still trying to get calmed down.
ReplyDeleteI admit I doubted Slaf early in his career but he has proven me wrong 10X over.
What a player and like someone mentioned only 22 years old.
To the dipshit maga fans in Tampa ... shove your USA chant up your ass.
BTW, 12 of your players and your coach and GM are Canadian. Numbskulls.
And 2 of the best players on the Habs are American. Maybe they are chanting for Cole and Lane.
DeleteYeah, that's hilarious.
DeleteWow, Fast Lane played 29 minutes tonight.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Pronger still doubts he can play like he does?
He might end up a leaf exec. 😆
DeleteYoungest team in the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteWith a rookie goalie.
Deletecuthurt and simpleton choking on their own puke once again.
ReplyDeleteAlso, let me remind you that I called out biekscum a while back.
They and the panel must all be choking on their words tonight.
DeleteI'm hoping they will be choking lots more before these playoffs are over.
I'm watching Slaf and Nature, I wonder if Phil will bring pizza back in Montreal sometime .. heh heh
ReplyDeleteI read at EOTP that BizzJizzNasty was cheering for the dolts on the TNT broadcast.
ReplyDeleteMore egg on his stupid face.
3 gag-non bits
ReplyDelete- he picked the dolts to win tonight
- he said he voted for cirelli over Nature for the Selke
- RDS was proud because he asked a question to MSL , ‘en Français’ (séparatiste fuck)
Alright!

Best writer out there by a country mile. And spot on in his analysis.
DeleteThat was outstanding.
DeleteI would consider subscribing to the Mop and Pail just to read his articles.
Nah, I like archive.ph
DeleteYou do a great job posting it, Thank You!
DeleteI read the first paragraph and thought reading any more would be treason. FFS Narco has skeletons in the closet alledgedly and they may get him into season two of Hot Hockey.
DeleteAdded a screenshot from the athletic, chief editor is POS leafool/sfu mirtle.
ReplyDeleteNothing on the front page about the Habs win, nothing.
Big shout out to The PowerHorse for setting the tone last night.
ReplyDeleteScored the important first goal of the game and laid out some big hits.
People were bitching and complaining about his contract after he first got here because he wasn't scoring enough goals.
I always thought he was worth every dime, especially after he pummelled Wilson last year.
The tsn panel last night, with Frankie and Carlo, both agreed Tampa will not push the Habs around or intimidate them.
I noticed more than once the linesmen keeping AX at bay during some scrums but he was in control of his emotions. They didn't really need him, Josh and Slaf were enough.
The dolts spent a lot of energy keeping Nick and CC under wraps plus trying to decapitate Lane, that just left Slafsquatch free to do his thing. I suspect Cooper will have to adjust that plan.
The Habs have so many weapons at their disposal, thank you HuGo.
Bargin Bin spoke da trud. Some guys get you to the playoffs and some guys get you to the cup.
DeleteThe leaf got that equation backwards. Powerhorse, and 7 vens and Dano are all that left of that sediment.
Whilst reporting on nascar and Michael Jordan’s winning team, some wad decided to translate some driver, Denny Hamlin as Denis Hamelin.
ReplyDeleteMore really good Kelly.

For now, enjoy hockey officiating in its classic form – inexplicably poor and occasionally hilarious. Be glad it’s only moderately bad. If it was really, truly terrible, you’d feel the need to watch all the games, which would really cut into your complaining time.
I am not one to overeact or let my emotions or state of mind dictate my typing. What I have witnessed over the past 24 hours fills me with a belief if not a certianty that history will repeat itself again. Yep rookie goalie all 6 rookies in a row getting their cup rings.
ReplyDeleteI loves me a montage of completely frustrated Senaturd snipers (Stutxle, Pinto and Captain TheFuck).
ReplyDeleteWild-Stars game is total hockey. The Canes look like chumps with no structure. I think Ottawa might take them out after all.
ReplyDeleteThat razor-thin offside call negating the OT winning goal is a joke
ReplyDeleteThey should edit the NHL rule book and put a “if you feel like it” in front of every rule. That was not offside.
DeleteSo I'm thinkin they're gonna be comin tonight pretty sure.
ReplyDeleteSo we have to be at red alert with the shields up from the puck drop
Play a smart game defensively and bide our time
Continue to hammer doucherov and keep our crease clear
And I dunno if it's just me but vaselevsky didn't look very vaselevskyish last game
Maybe he's fading they lean on him a lot with the headman missing and Our Powerhorse taking out another of their D
Onward per ardua ad astra
GGH
He's no VaSLAFsky, that's for sure.
DeleteThe guys in K&B were saying the same thing, he wasn't on.
I think the guys are in his head. Cole scored his 50th on him and the curse is on.
I called Habs in 6 but would love to see a sweep.
CHester is a fellow Trekker I see, 'ad astra per asperum' was a great episode on Strange New Worlds. I think Coop and his charges will have tight sphincters tonight.
DeleteGHG
Hey I see you can watch the Habs games along with Dangle. I wouldn't, but I'll give it to him, for a leaf fan he can actually be pretty entertaining. You'd have to have a pretty good sense of humour to be a fan of that pile of shit, right?
ReplyDeleteI can't miss trivia night, my team depends on me for all my 'ancient knowledge', so I'll be watching on delay when I get home.
ReplyDeleteGHGGGH
It's good to see Slafkovsky getting accolades from various media.
ReplyDeleteI admit I had my doubts when he was drafted first overall and especially after a questionable first year in the NHL.
I didn't think he was first overall material like a MacKinnon but was hoping he would develop into at least a 25 goal winger.
The Habs were so bad at that time, I thought they had at least one more first overall coming their way, possibly even two, to maybe snag a 'generational' type player. I was prepared to wait.
Turns out Slaf may the best of his draft class after all if he stays on this curve and will be a true #1 after all. Hutson might even end the second best, he probably should have gone top 10 at least.
