  1. Just caught up on the last thread too btw.

To oleg - the pre-season hit was Domi on Ekblad. Byron's hit and suspension (which was 2 games too long imho) was in January. This was the first game since then.

    Now Habs, J.F.W.

Yowza is right! Three beauty brunettes at the end, The one just above Teri Hatcher is very familiar but I can't place her. Hey Saint Paddy -- could you shoehorn in Colby Smulders? A Canadian beauty who is a key person as Maria Hill in the MCU. Can't wait for Endgame...

Go Habs Go -- they need at least the loser point but a win would be outstanding.

  6. i think u mean Fiver in for LB.

i dont normally value much of what any agent say, but this guy at least has a lot of good points to bring up. chiefly, i agree with his double jeopardy analogy.
    https://sports.yahoo.com/paul-byrons-agent-rips-the-code-after-undersized-client-k-od-in-fight-182717733.html

at the end of it, take a look at the comments. im really surprised at the attitude LB got what he deserved, LB choose to fight, small guys like LB need to be taught a lesson... who are these idiots posting this stuff?

heck... im quite disappointed his own teammates (wrongbenn) arent saying more about how he already owned up to it publicly and the league already dealt with it. for me, this isnt right

on to tn: is this the season guys?

      Nope, can't place her either.

I probably won't be around for the start of this epic battle for the chance to get slaughtered by the Tanker Bay Dolts. I have to keep telling myself : It's OK to lose, it's OK to lose, not the end of the world. I don't know if I believe it though...

I think Sela Ward caused a snowstorm on my keyboard, but I will have to check the satellite for accurate telementy. Remember cover of the rolling stones, what a great one hit wonder, I just like Pecker keep hoping for my Chance.

Go You Fucking Habs GO. I will not be dissapointed no matter what the outcome. We have to rejoice at this year for three reasons. First we are playing entertianing hockey most of the time. Second we have UTES that look like diamonds already cut, just waiting to fill the right ring. Third, the Leafs are going out in the first round with their dynamoo.

One lousy point separating three teams for two playoff spots. Math is difficult but that doesn't add up. If Montreal doesn't make it I doubt THEIR media and fans will be whining about how unfair the SYSTEM is to their team. Fuck -- Habs fans relish a matchup with Boston unlike leafools who are scared shitless. Losers.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I can see 96 points getting the final spot. Habs would lose the tie-breaker so would need to be there solo. So they need to go 3-1 and BJ's play .500 for their last 5 games. Could happen. I could see the Jackets taking 3 points this weekend, lose to the broons and take 2 on the final weekend.
Then the Habs just need to beat the Jets and Leafs, and one of either the Bolts or Caps in between. Habs best hope TB and the Caps are resting some of their players.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. this is entirely accurate. At this point, fuck the standings, JFW and let the CHips fall where they may. The Jets will beat us, unless they fall apart. But they may fall apart. More on the line for the Habs than them. Hope springs eternal, eh?

    2. moeman, did you listen to the 17 min. of the recorded phone call from PCO Wernicke to then Justice Minister JWR? There is nothing that man did wrong from where I see it, and I am sad he felt the need to resign. Difference of opinion in the end. Strange to me the Prime Minister is apparently understood by his Justice Minister as an object of subjugation to one (namely, #puglass's) interpretation of the law, but that is what PMJT set in motion by appointing her thus. Hockey and politics? My bad for being brought up by Billy Bragg and his notion of music and politics, I suppose.

      Digression sequence at ten,... nine...

    5. Sadly, for me, I don't play an instrument. If I did it would be the sax.

Saying that, I think one needs to get educated, with reggae to start, add some funk vibes (see cats like Flea), figure out your case of feels and work it. I've seen and enjoyed many a great reggae/beat/ska event/party. Keep it simple, keep it fast and just let musicians have fun. This is also why I love CAKE.

  60. There's some great early original Ska, aka beat music. I listened to it often to get my moejo on. I've have been a reggae/ska/beat/punk/newave fan since forever. Not sure it is said anywhere but The English Beat>General Public>wherever the boys ended up are what, to me defines modern ska, if there is such a ting mon. Blending in funky off-'beat' horns into a funked out bass line with fun lyrics with crazy reggae roots, well, dere ya go mon.

  63. Lucky me with a big sis and her boyfriend as my musical mentor back 8n the mid'80s showing me the arena rock chaivanistic stuff I got through puberty with was nowhere near as cool as the mods/two tone / punks scene. Madness and The Specials + the Minnesota hardcore scene... but I also had friends in local bands like tge Nils (RIP Alex) Asexuals, Tge Stznd GT, Atomic Folk, Alternative Inuit, Deja Voodoo, Roebuddy, Me Mom & Morgentaler, Rise, Crypt Kickers, Sons of the Desert... Les Colocs, Villain Pinguoin, ... all from the sensibility of Strummer's attitude that if you have something to say, form a band or write a play or wahatever. Just grab it by the throat and put it out there. But be respectful of everyone else and don't think just have an informed opinion you also have all the answers. Ska/punk is the root for me. --SiM
