  3. A responsible goverment would cancel this event. This is something entirely off center about the whole COVID experience. However what has happened in China, Italy and South Korea, will happen here.

Now for secret viewers only. Everyone wonders if Aids was man made. I allege there will be no uncertainty about COVID. It seems that young children can carry it with no affect. It seems those over 60 die hard. People in the middle get sick and recover. This is what I allege is a culling.

  4. Golf is the perfect sport for the COVID carnage. I do not know why this golfer has such a handicap?

  5. It 8:18 the game started at 7. No easy way to find the score. We are all living in George Carlins world now.

  6. We have Gashville just where we want them. A FOUR GOAL lead. Fools

  7. Just when the leaf is on the verge of winning the Stanley Cup, it might end up being cancelled.

  8. We are living in a zombie movie right now, the only thing missing is Zombies. I believe most will live through this. Infection is not a death sentence. So dont panic. However if your over 60 and/or have a compromised immune system, the dice are rolling. So being over 60, I have taken to the PEG prevention.
This is very similar to how the people of the peg fought the West Nile Virus. You have to keep your blood alchool level at a level the virus can not survive. Its somewhere over point zero eight. Scientist will tell us later so dont be conservative, have one more drink before bed.

COVID-19 has arrived in New Brunswick, guess I'll take Steve's advice and start drinking. Single malt whiskey may prove to be mankind's greatest invention.

  11. With the cancellation of the NHL season we will avoid going on a heater and are locked in with number 8. We will get an excellent prospect. All part of the plan.

I suspect they will be awarding the Stanley Cup sometime in August, if at all.

With the NHL now suspended, it's probably a blessing in disguise for Habs fans. Not that I have watched any games lately but from what I have been reading it's been pathetic. It will be interesting how it all shakes out in 3 or 4 weeks.

    1. Did you not read what I said above, DGMB planned on this, wasted a season that will be wasted, stable genius.

  15. We are moving into uncharted human territory in an age dominated by digital thought. Our forefathers could live through a blitzkrieg, and emerge. We dont have those skills, so stock up, wash up, and keep a meter away from everything. Best of luck to everyone, not just the FHF but the whole planet, cause things are going to get rougher than anything in human history. With the cavet, not WW2.

Stay safe everyone! Lots of hand washing and whiskey drinking is the order of the day. My hockey fix will be my 100th anniversary DVD set. The golfers are still playing so I got that as well.

    1. Golf the only safe sport in the 21st century. 100 years from now people will wonder, how would a team sport work?

  18. And we wake to the news Sophie-Gregoire Trudeau has tested positive for COVID-19. Public service eh? Our PM is in isolation as well, but asymptomatic, so for some reason I don't understand he shouldn't be tested? Well... all the best to Ms. Trudeau and their family for her full recovery.

I've been following on https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ which shows we are closing in on 5,000 deaths and 70,000 recoveries for a 7% death rate of resolved cases. This is nothing to fuck around with.

Listen to your Italian grandma, folks. Stay vigilant!

    Peace and Love

  19. Bad news the M. No golf either. Looking like a genius for queuing up all those shows for the past year that I just couldn't get around to watching. In all seriousness, stay safe. Don't travel. Remain vigilant. Still at the office here, will wait to see what happens if/when we get our first case.

I heard the leaf are planning the parade since they were actually granted the victory back in October. But it's a virtual parade which will be Narco parading around his living room in his underwear with Pyjama Boy in tow. Leaf fans can pay a one time $67 fee to watch the live stream. There will also be live streaming on the live stream as the President of America will be attending.

Yeah, even NASCAR has shut down.

As I said, I've got the dvds of when the Habs were good. We will probably watch some series as well.

Man, no Masters this April. That's a severe kick to the groin. Worse than no hockey.

  22. I have been searching my vast corrupted memory banks for a totem, a story that could apply to our current reality. I really got nothing. This is not a global Apocalypse unless we make it one. I have no fear of that happing in Canada, well I will make a disclaimer if you elect Jason kenney expect lots of unwelcome stuff to be in the closet.

I am a history major of no distinction, but I did get a degree. Humans have been on a upward progression since the 18th century. If you do not believe me play civilization. Dispute the bullshit news life is continually getting better, for everyone. This crisis will pass and we will emerge stronger, we will learn lessons, we will know better, we will slay straw men in the millions. Dont worry, be happy.

With human travel cut back for the next few months or so, our carbon footprint will be greatly reduced. Does that buy us a few more years to slow down the temperature climb? Maybe a silver lining in all this? We went out for groceries this morning and bought a few extra things in case we get quarantined. Well, it wasn't my idea but I digress. As all the cancellations rolled in and governments tried to reassure a panicked stock market, I remarked to Mrs. TheM., the world feels different now. She agreed. These are unprecedented times.

  23. Just watCHed the first Ep of Picard. Wow! I have to contrast it with the Maldorian. I was always in both camps but Picard exposes all the flaws of Star Wars. I have been taking comfort in old movies lately. Chuck Norris, and Sly, Arnie and now I am going for Hard Target.

Picard takes a little time to get going but it's really ramping up. I just watched Ep. 8, I love Seven of Nine. This show is really comforting by connecting to the REAL Trek universe. I hated the Abrams-verse and just could not get into Disco. The best part of that show was James Frain's portrayal of Sarek.
