A: Do it after the 'season' is done and also, too, fuck da leaf.

  2. Wowza, beauty moe! Looking a hell of a lot better in NB than their neighbours to the south here in NS. The M can go golfing! No new just cases for days now. I'm a tad jealous.

Meanwhile shit here is crazy, RCMP alert today about gunfire just outside the city...people are on edge man.

Yes, a glimmer of hope for New Brunswickers amidst all the chaos and sorrow in Nova Scotia. As you know I am a native Nova Scotian, born and raised and I can't help but feel the pain of my brethren there. I know we have to move on but damn it's hard.

I am looking forward to some golf but man it better warm up soon!

Meanwhile, south of the border, trump's pressers are getting zanier by the day. It's like Monty Python's Flying Circus at the White House.

I meant to comment on the Raquel picture earlier ... pretty sure that is from the movie 'Fantastic Voyage', I saw that movie a couple years after it debuted AND read the book. I think I was in grade 8 or 9. Well done!!

    1. fantastic voyage, I saw it first run at the theaters and at that time it was first run first time ever science fiction on the big screen. That moved me away from conventional thought to live my life like it was an episode of Star Trek and I was a much less assertive Kirk. Nevertheless in command of my own starship that traveled everyday and every hour and sometime every minute to the most incredible places that every existed.

I could go on and on but I leave a teaser where I did run on.

  10. As I comment Little Feat comes on the stereo. It playing relatively low as it need some room to soak in. They have made a New NED KELLY movie and If You DONT KNOW NED, you dont believe in Fightclub.

look for wisdom in the words of Bob, when I am weary and down an out and the last time I checked the word of the prophets were written on the sides of subway cars and train cars, recently the jungle drum chanting has replaced rock and roll as the most popular pastime to listen to. I can call it music. Its like a culture that listens to fart sounds all day and its popular pollutes my ear-waves. and they have the same predictive ability of the average german shepard,
cant wait till I can upgrade mine and teach it to paint.

So as we reopen we might need a song in our head, a real earworm that can speak to the lizard mind and make authority seem fine.

  12. I haven't seen the latest Star Wars movie and by all accounts most Star Wars nerds hated it (I'm a Trekkie, not a Star Warrior...surely they've named themselves that). It must be released to Disney or something as I see it 'trending'. Anyway, I know nothing of the plot but will probably watch it AND I suspect the reason people hate is because it isn't what I thought it would be about...the first time Luke saw his sister naked - The Rise of Skywalker. "Light Sabre" ON!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Ha Ha actually I thought is was true to the Star Wars legend, unlike many of the George Lucas efforts. However I had to watch it over time, and it really never lit up until the 3rd period.

Ration your selections because 6 months from now you will think Pee Wee Herman was a genius, and you will have a tent pole.

@Saint Paddy, like you I am a 'Trekker' but I loved the first Star Wars movie 'A New Hope'. 'The Empire Strikes Back' was excellent as well, maybe even better. 'Return of the Jedi' was OK, slave Leia was yowza but poor Luke was lusting after his sister ... can you say Game of Thrones!?!

When all the Star Wars prequels came out in the 90's I thought "why bother" we know Anakin becomes Darth Vader who cares how he got there? I thought it was lame and too much time had passed since Jedi anyway. I ended up watching them when my son got me the box set of blu-rays. There were a few memorable moments in each movie but overall I was unimpressed. When the first of the latest trilogy was released my boys talked us into going to see it and again I was unimpressed, I've not watched another Star Wars movie. Not even the other two 'sideshow' ones. I've heard some of the animated stuff is the better option and The Mandalorian as well but I really can't be bothered.

As far as Trek goes, I tried to like the Abrahms-verse stuff (or Kelvin timeline if you wish) but just couldn't get into it. Discovery was OK but when they shuffled off to the far future I said adios. Picard, wow, finally a Trek worthy of the history. It felt familiar. There is talk of a Captain Pike spinoff with Anson Mounts, I could really get into that especially if Rebecca Romijn as Number 1. Really, they just need to introduce a new crew and new Enterprise in the present Picard timeline and go from there. I'm in.

So, the toronto sports network listed the top 7 Canadiens of all time on their putrid leaf site. How the fuck would they know anything about great Canadiens? They soon buried that article with one about the 'great' wee willie neelander and his journey to stardom. That's funny, most of those leafools wanted to trade him soon after he got his dough. Bunch of two-faced fucks if you ask me. Fuck off SFU and enjoy showing all those 'classic' leaf games from not long ago. Wonder if they will get around to showing the game 7 collapse to the shit stained b's?

Certainly a good day to be working from home (you know, if one must work). And OK, it's not a blizzard, but has been steadily snowing since I woke up at 700 this morning.

Hey fellow FHFer's! Here in New Brunswick we didn't just flatten the COVID-19 curve, we kicked the shit out of it as well! Only 2 or 3 people are still recovering and NO ONE died. I attribute some of our success to our partial diet of Atlantic salmon, moose meat and lobster with a side of fiddleheads. And probably Moosehead beer.

Sounds like NHL hockey is just around the corner. What month is this anyway?

Bob Odenkirk’s been involved in TV for a long time before he played the iconic Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad, but it took a while for him to be recognized for the performer and showman he’s seen as today. He got his break with comedy, and began making guest appearances on primetime TV all throughout the ’90s. This included a notable one on Seinfeld as Ben, one of Elaine’s boyfriends. He appears in the season eight episode “The Abstinence” as an almost-doctor who dumps Elaine the minute he gets his medical license.

Did you like all the players with no vowels in their names we have tried over the last 8 years? No, well we are in the running for another one. This one has some vowels to go along with a laser wrist shot, and PP quarterbacking skills.

Also Halack resigns with da broons.

The Tsar/CHzar is not a dream, he is real in a post covid world and he is comming to a team you love near you. Should be the rocket but what do I know about player development.

Borje Salmming is recovering from Covid, get well soon, and best wishes also to BGL who has the Covid but seems on the recovery road. Actually as he explains it, having covid and playing in Montreal where very similar. “It takes all my energy just to get up,” says Georges Laraque, who’s hospitalized with pneumonia after contracting COVID-19.
