The right knee is holding up so far, walking downhill is the worst. No issues with the left on at all. I have to take a day off to recover after each round, I may have to consider taking a power cart in the not too distant future. Maybe once a week?

I think most Americans are trying to do what Dr. Fauci and the medical community are saying is the safe thing unlike the Fox News, Trump loving whackjobs you see on Twitter videos.
Today the NHL Board of Guvners meets, and Pierre LeBrun for one says they are hoping to complete the season with a funky format including 24 teams (Habs presumably being #24, based on some concoction of their own mathologists' superior reasoning). Tslks with NHLPA were ongoing. I think it's ridiculous but so is a lot of shit going on these days.

Tuned into the golf briefly but couldn't get into it. I've started to play Madden again and my Redskins have now won back to back Superbowls. Time to up the cpu skill level I guess.
And lots of gardening on the go. Sadly removing a 60' maple from the front of my house this week...better to take it down than have it fall on my house/car/neighbour's kids and it always seems windy now and it's got a split trunk I can see it separating in the wind.

But if TFS is good at one thing, it's maintaining focus and dominance over a shortish tourney, and his overwork in recent years proves the long season and playoff does him in favours. There could be lightning in that bottle. And I doubt Lefrenniere is a possibility, if it's a one or the other trade-off. Sorry if I'm sounding like a Leaffool, just been a long long two months. --SiM

ReplyDeleteI think the idea of a 24 team tourney in empty, neutral areas is nuts. Leave it and restart in the fall. As for Dinner, I really struggled to decide. #4 was easy. The next two would be difficult. I think #10 would be pretty dull conversation. #79 might be interesting but I think, again conversation would be minimal. I have a lot of questions I would ask #33, so that would be second. Ultimately I went for Captain Saku

I am getting used to the 'new normal', when I go to a store I wear a cloth mask, I have trained myself to take it with me whenever I go out. I find it gets uncomfortable after about 30 minutes, I'm 'breathing moistly' as JT said... I get in and get out as quickly as possible. A list is an essential at the grocery store. I physical distance as much as possible. It will be interesting to go to a restaurant soon.
ReplyDeleteAs for the hockey season, I could care less what they do. I don't think I will be watching in July and August, I would probably tune in in September if the Habs were still playing but football would be the priority for me.
