the Maritimer10:28 AM Gotta at least split with the Oil.
Unknown1:36 PM 3rd game in four dsys for them. At the start of the season, at least a few of the Oils won't have their legs. I smell a Habs win tonight, based on that alone. --SiM
CHester1:10 PM Two NFL playoff games and Habs and The Oil. Life is good. I'm concerned about this Dubois chatter. I'm liking KK and Nature Boy. If the Berg can swing something that doesn't move those two, hats off. Otherwise lets stay pat and see how things roll out. We've only played 60 minutes, not the time to jump. Just sayin. Go Habs
I agree with CHester, I'm not liking this Dubois rumour. The way I see it, it's Jarmo's problem to deal with. The Habs are finally in a position of strength with lots of young talent, let other GM's come to bergy with hat in hand. I wouldn't trade Slick Nick or KK for him. I hope PLD gets traded out west somewhere, maybe Anaheim.
I hope Corey Perry gets to play soon, I want to see him carve up that whiny little bitch matthews or Weber and Chiarot cross check him even harder.
White Tulip I fled to another place with rhetorical tribulations but did not realize the quarantine would be so harsh to return. My return has been like a Disney movie under the control of a person not known as a fascist. First the Czar, God has blessed us in the Byzanime. If Jesus could not only walk on water but walk on a frozen pond he would move like the Czar. JosCH for Mad Max is like a PlayStation trade where in real life size and CHaracter matter more than the world jrs. The trade for Picard, make it so. KidKo and a first is the max. Dano and a hundred players is the best solution. The Last Kingdom had a meme, destiny is everything, and our destiny is the 25th cup in our lifetime.
After brawl 2 it's 3 on 3. Habs with 4 guys in the box and 6 left in the bench. Man I hope it's not too long before the Nords return, that was some fun hockey.
A bit late to the party boys... But let's start with the best part... Welcome back Steve! So that was a good period. Habs gotta score more with chances like they had in that period. Probably here until the end of 2 tonight... We shall see... JFW GYFHG!
Been essentially locked down since last March and working from home since then too... So my sleep patterns are all over the place. Gonna see how the 2nd looks before calling it a night.
I like a lot of these Oilers. They play smart hockey. Good rivalry in tge works here. 4-0 is not a safe lead against them, but TFS has been really good. GYFHG
So not exactly the shootout I was expecting in Buffalo. Habs have more goals than both football teams combined and they're under 10 minutes remaining in first half.
Loving a Sunday morning recap following a big win. Tuna Melt / Tuna Casserole are both expressions I hope we hear a lot about this year. Jeeves works a nick for Evans. Personally I prefer Alain for Jake Allen but defer to consensus Jake the Snake. All the Habs are moving their feet a lot so far and that makes stuff happen. TFS was dialed in and long may that continue. Nothing to be negative about after a 5-1 win
I heartily look forward to some Tuna casserole this season.
Pomme arose out of my Québec childhood association of the name Allen with the ever-present Allen apple juice - an anglo name with a french counterpart (Alain) that didn't supplant tge name on the label. Therefore, hearing a francophine say "Allen" has always meant apple juice (at least in my neck of the bois) Amiright, moeman? --SiM
Well Well Well there is no weakness in the knees of this team, they will go far, maybe all the way with or with Kidko and Lord Byron and METE. Bring on the putrid Leaf one more time and we will let then know that blue and white contains a lot of black and blue.
So I'm watching the Bucs/Saints game and flipped to see what hockey game was on leafnet. It's Chicago playing in Florida and I see people in the stands. Not surprising considering the governor of Florida is nutjob and trump acolyte Ron DeVirus who has pretty much ignored the pandemic. Looked like a typical Panthers crowd ... about 50 people or so.

On PLD, if it can be done without losing Suzuki, KK or Romanov, worth a try.

No one cross checked Gretzky ever. He did not even wear shoulder pads. WOW revise history.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Jeeves, he’s like a butler, does everything.
DeleteThis is a good game!
ReplyDeleteLots of great skating.
DeleteDon't let up!
ReplyDeleteSo agressive on the forecheck. I can't remember this team playing this style for a VERY long time.
ReplyDeleteTFS!!!
ReplyDeleteWow what a period of hockey!

ReplyDeleteGreat game. They'll do it again on Monday.
ReplyDeleteFirst win of the season and it's a beaut. Rubber match on Mondsy should be a dandy. Will we see Pomme make his Habs debut in net?--SiM
ReplyDelete--SiM
Great game.
ReplyDeleteTake care and be safe everyone.
I think you'll see a different result the next time the Habs play the leaf. Staying out of the box is key.
ReplyDeleteJust glad the Leafs win was in regulation. 3-point games are evil in this 56-game season. --SiM
ReplyDeleteI hope we get to see Jake the Snake Monday night.
