Ariarne Lepine, Mimi Elashiry, Michelle Pfeiffer, and tic-tac-toe are hot.

    I hope Ovi has a career-ending injury tonight. #99!!!

  3. This game is only available on TVA Sports and Sportsnet so I won't be watching. It will not be pretty anyway, with Ghoul out. Thinman will have to dress. I just hope Wifi takes down Putin's BFF somehow.

Please Hugo, stay far, far away from Drouin 2.0 currently residing in NYC.

I once decades ago had a few pints with Mr Goodman. The night ended with a bar brawl initiated by a celerity. He is a good guy in my limited books.
He had a French giril on his arm and he told me she cost him over 100M

Former Habs part time goalie Charlie Lindgren gets the start today. I smell a shutout.

This game is over early. Lots of time to watch something else. Maybe try the U. S. Finland game.

We have 3 years of process, it started with Slav. So for three years its going to be something bad, but for me better than the last 39

I agree about the 3 years Steve, however, I would submit the rebuild really starts in June 2023 with whoever they get there plus some other graduates and more importantly, that Cap Space guy.

  11. If you'd told me on the first day of the season we'd be here on Dec. 31 saying, "Oh shit! Guhle is injured?! We're fucked!!" I would've been shocked. He has come so far so fast.

  15. I recorded the game but it doesn't look like something I need to see. As much as we like seeing rookies play, this D corp needs some insulation. It's not fair to the goalies. It's not good for morale. It looks bad on MSL to keep losing like this...losing is fine but getting blown out every game is Ducharmish and nobody, even the tank fans don't want that.

9-2?!? Wow, even worse than I thought. We just finished watching Top Gun, the original, watched the new on the other day. I subscribed to Paramount+, it has all the old Trek so I'm in heaven, Mrs. Maritimer gets to watch Yellowstone.

As for the poor Habs, there is no one to fire and there is no help on the way player-wise unless they get Monahan, Savard and Matheson back. Suck it up boys, it's up to you.

Just to keep things in perspective:

    2007-08 Tampa Bay Lightning 82 31 42 9 71 .433 Stamkos taken 1st overall
    2008-09 Tampa Bay Lightning 82 24 40 18 66 .402 Hedman taken 2nd overall
    2009-10 Tampa Bay Lightning 82 34 36 12 80 .488 Brett Connelly 6th overall
    2010 11 Tampa Bay Lightning 82 46 25 5 6 103

The Lightning still had Lecavalier and St.Louis on those teams. It took 2 years after the Hedman draft to get back in contention and Hedman wasn't their best defenceman.

The Habs are starting in a deeper hole with Nick and Cole as their top 2 and Slowkofsky is no wher near as good as Stamkos. Even if by some miracle the Habs land Bedard they will still be at least 2 more years after that before they might contend and that's if they get a decent goaltender.

My plan going forward for watching the games is I will check them out and if they start poorly, time to step away, just for my own well being. No need to watch beating after beating.

In trying to stay positive through these tough hockey times, Roy, Hutson, Mesar, Kapanen and Engstrom have all played very well at the WJC according to the Habs prospect trackers. Some of these guys have to pan out.

As CHester and others have mentioned, it's a mystery how the HADD vets can be so utterly useless. With all the attention focused on the Gold Dust twins and Doc you'd think they could score the odd goal to help out. Anyway, onwards and upwards!

I should have used the sarcasm font. The only thing Drouin would get you is maybe a dozen doughnuts from Tims.

Drouin and Badanov will get nothing but cap space. Armia will have to be bought out. A playoff team might take the Hoff.

My Giants are having quite a day. I think they are playoff bound.

    1. Your boys are in. My Pats are somehow still alive? Maybe if the Bills sit all of their starters next week, but the #1 seed might still be in play, so Pat's should be toast. Eek into the playoffs to play BUF or KC? 1 playoff round is at least better than missing, so my leaf friends tell me.

Remember what bergy always said "Get in the playoffs and anything can happen." It's even more true in a one game knockout scenario.

Can a take you to another world called Avatar. James Cameron is a cinematic God does not matter who writes the bible. And he is a Canadian, so he is telling Canadian stories.
Anyway some one hates him because his latest is all over the Web in 1080p.
I believe that I read a book that was like Avatar long before Avatar, but it cant be true
cause that dustbin has been filtered to death.

I didn't care for the first Avatar movie, I'm not wasting 3.5 hours of my life on the new one. I'd rather waste 2.5 watching the Habs kids get beat up.

James Cameron's greatest movie is still The Terminator. Great quotes like "I'll be back." "Come with me if you want to live." The best one: Landlord - Hey you got a dead cat in there? Arnold - Go fuck yourself!

And Titanic, pffff, we all knew how that one ended.

  29. TSN panel are either idiots or total Bedard dick suckers...or both. First intermission the reporter asks Bedard how he feels about beating the Lindros record and he says he doesn't care and is just focussed on winning a tough game.

The panel all act amazed and are just so pleased and "of course he'd say this he's such a pro at such a young age!" Every fucking athlete in a similar situation would say the same fucking thing you stupid twatwaffles! Jesus.

    2. I bet Oilers fans thought that too after getting McD and Leon. I think (hope) that HuGo will be better at surrounding star players (whether it's Bedard or not) with the right personnel, including a solid defence and goalie. I believe I heard in an earlier game that he is an undrafted free agent and it's expected he'll be offered a contract after this tournament. I thought at the time the Habs should nab him if they can....if I'm thinking of the right goalie.

    3. The latter part of this statement is about Gajan of course.

    4. the Maritimer9:48 PM

I think HuGo will have a much better balanced team than the Oilers. They will have to find a goalie though and that is hard, as the Oilers and leaf are finding out.
