  1. Not a huge The Who fan but Strummer's tune has a bit of their vibe with some world music blended in.

They seem to forget that not only Montreal passed him over, so did NJ and Az, what does that say? He wouldn't even go Top 10 in 2023. It's all just SFU piling on the Habs. Boo Fucking Hoo GTA boy snubbed. LOL!!

    3. I love how these united fuckers can't hide their Habs hate. Sick fucks.

    4. Habs took what they considered BPA (only time will tell), NJ were always grabbing a D. But AZ chose a different C. If he wants to be fake pissed at any team it should be that shitshow of a franchise, but in reality he wanted to play in the city where hockey matters most but HuGo didn't feel he could handle the spotlight. In reality he should move the fuck on, but the filthy SFU won't let that happen.

Why is that fucking useless drouin on the ice? For the love of God Marty get rid of him.

Good on 7evans and the Pez to get that goal.

  8. Somebody tell me why/how on Earth Drouin saw almost 2 whole minutes more ice than Caufield in the first period?

Yeah, you tell me. They just showed two dumb plays made by that selfish twit on the PP. I don't know wtf Marty is thinking with this guy but he ain't getting anything we haven't already seen. You can polish a turd all you want but it's still a turd. Ditch this clown ffs.

I only watched bits and pieces of the 3rd period but I'm pretty sure drouin never saw the ice.
I know Marty was experimenting sticking two dead weights (drouin and armia) with Nick but not even Gretzky could get anything out of those two stiffs. Once Monahan and Gallagher return those two can sit up in the press box with Boris Badanov for the rest of the season.

DGMB was always five moves ahead. He knew at the right time Druid and Army would be the tank commanders we could depend upon. Thats why they wont waive or bench them. They need there skills to avoid winning.

TSN 690 was never great, and its getting worse. Conner is the only personality I cotton to now. TSN 1050 despite its Toronto centric talk is ten times better. They have at least 5 former NHL players regulars 5 days a week. Yesterday one the traveling talkers MJ something, both an ex hab and a ex leaft picked Sandin from Toronto as the winner of the Norris if it were to be awarded today. His hockey IQ just went down 50 pts.

    1. TSN690 is rarely anh good since Nilan and Marinaro left. Only appreciate it anymore for Michael Farber and Aaron Ward appearances, mostly.

  20. Happy Christmas (eve) to all.

And on this day I raise a glass of rum to the dearly departed Dad of Pad who would've turned 103. I'm not a big rum guy because he drank dirty old Black Diamond, so teen Pad may or may not have helped himself to that on occassion with poor results!
    Cheers!

And best wishes for Xmas or Festivus or whatever holiday cheer picks you up, fellow FHFers and others -- except to warmongering Putin and his pals who saw fit to mark this day of peace by pummeling Kherson a few hours ago, killing another 10 and injuring 55 innocent Ukrainians. 27. After running many complex simulations over at tankathon I can safely conclude we will have the second round draft pick. It is the Florida loophole. Buttman cant block two lottery picks in the same year,

    ReplyDelete

    1. Do you mean the 2nd overall pick? I'd take that.

      Delete
    2. Yes second overall, its in the bank as long as Florida continues to crater.

  29. So watccing the Canadian Juniors...

    1. Two failed attempts at 'the Michigan' and down by one after a period. If I'm Travis Greene I telling the guys to fuck right off with that and next player to try it, goal or not gets nailed to the bench for the rest of the game.

    2. Jaro Spacek's boy scored. Got me wondering about his time in the league and I discovered his draft rights were traded from SJ with Viktor Kozlov to FLA for the Panthers first round pick . SJ then traded that pick to TB, for garbage and a swap of their first round pick.

That pick that moved from FLA to SJ to TB? Vinnie Lecavalier.

FYI, SJ then traded the TB pick (2nd overall) to Nashville's 3rd overall pick.
David Legwand and Brad Stuart respectively picked.

  30. I heard Shane Wrong's name very little last night (I was only half listening mind you). Seems to be a lot of individuals on that team and sketchy goaltending.

  32. Kapanen with the 'C' (& a nice wrap around goal) for Finland vs Mesar with an 'A' for Slovakia is probably the game hilighting the best two Habs prospects in the tournament...USA's Hutson a close 3rd.
Also a Swede and Austrian to look for.
I can't think of a good Swede on the Habs roster since Naslund. Kjell Dahlin had early potential but fizzled quickly. Dackell during those lean/dark early 2000s years was OK...but the team generally sucked so hard to judge.
