That Knife kid 20 year old second round draft pick. Slaf should eat him for lunch a year from now. I do not expect a win tonite. Alberta needs a goalie, we got 3 lets make a deal.
So much ink spilt the last few weeks over a 3rd rate winger, they have a lot bigger problems than that. Zero elite talent and places like EOTP keep telling us how great all these prospects are. Bull. Even Laval are a bunch of losers. Did these guys all forget how to play hockey? I'm done, for a while anyway. Good night.
Ahh, this kid in the TB net hasn't won a game yet. This now makes perfect sense...how many goalies have we watched get their first W over the past years?
Here's the thing. I watched the first period and after I got over being pissed off, I wanted to just see what the differences were between a rebuilding club and a seasoned contender. What I noted with Tampa (besides the superior talent at every level) was they played with structure. You could easily see it on the two PP goals that they scored into empty nets. I just see Montreal as a mediocre talent structure less team that has no idea what to do or how to play. That's on coaching. Whether that's on Marty or the other two I don't know. All I know is I'm done watching shit hockey. I watched it for two years I can't do a 3rd. I'll have to be a hilite watcher for now. Might record the odd Canucks game to watch on a Sunday morning. Or try to put a curse on the putrid leaf when they are pretending they know what they're doing.
... like the rest of us? its retarded we keep cheering for them, but thats who we are. its been that way for a long time and our stubborn loyalty to these 'dogs' goes far beyond this yr, last yr, two yrs ago an on... being a mtl fan is different. for those of u who (have) live in mtl, u should know exactly what im talking about. just once, ide like to be surrounded by a city chalk full of ppl on the metro arguing over who should be our 4th line winger. if we werent hab fans, we woulda been "diehards" of chi, sj, then pgh, then wsh, then tb, then whoever else trends to the top.
highlights or lowlights, its what we are. grow up you two. u not allowed to get off this crazy train.
Coach Marty says they are a 'fragile' team at the moment. OK, can I suggest that they all put "Not Fragile' by Bachman Turner Overdrive on their playlists? It might help who knows?
Who gets the starts on Saturday and Sunday? Anyway, good game and no passengers. Tough calls to cope with but they didn't fold like a "fragile" team. Something to build off.
Oh shit! They lost to the Sharks! Skinner down way too early on the first goal. Highlights show a soft, dusintrrested looking bunch of oilers looking like they sense an imminent end to their high-carbkn ways.
Holland and Hughes should be talking goalie trade today.
I'm looking forward to Vancouver putting the boots to the 'Fragile' pathetic leaf tomorrow night. Hopefully, the 'Not Fragile' Habs can slow down that beaner train.
Trade for Oilers number one prospect, pure wool 6 ft, and first round draft pick this year. They get Jake the Snake, and we take on the Soup burden. The leaf will be lucky to make the playoffs.
Yup, I recognize most of them, I don't care what anyone says, especially jealous leafools, but that was a damn good team.
The old Habs/beaner pic with SuperPleXXX and the shaved ape (I'll never forgive him) brought back some good memories of more recent epic battles (Y)Emelin vs Lucic, Dale Weiss, PFK OT winner, good times! Hopefully we can get some of that back. I think Lucic is on LTIR but I'm sure The Sheriff can give ratface a facewash or two.
Even if it is the 'national' game rest assured the SFU will be focused on the pathetic leaf. Go Vancouver!!
Sadly I don't recognize most of the back row, other than a few obvious faces. Agreed yhqt was a great team.
I am partaking in a trivia competition tonight an annual fundraiser for Crimestoppers. So I'll record the game and see if it's worth a late night/early morning watch.
I dont forget, my granfather was part of WW1. Stupid war just like today. I was out on my bike and I rode straight through a Palistine protest. They were all cilvilized and let me through. I was all wired up to drop somebody and they should be grateful.
In my time and I do believe time travel is possible., I know right now I will not make it to puck drop due to forces beyond my control. I say we win win win, May God reward me with a Sunday morning replay that looks like I am in heaven
Alouettes D put on a helluva clinic. First trip to the Grey Cup game since 2010 for Montreal. Let's see if the Habs can beat the Bruins for the first time since Nov. 6, 2019.
Fucking right on! What a hec.k of a game. A LOT of bad giveaways that were fortunate not to lead to a GA, but a lot of good things in this game, including the play of Sam and the PK. And of course the Ghoul.
Oh and we took 3rd place out of 17 teams tonight so not bad.
Wow...I decide 2 am was enough for me and 5 minutes later they go up 2-1...I miss the best part of the game...but a win is a win is a win and it was the fuckin broons so I'm happy! Bring on the nucks!
Such a bright, beautiful day after a win over the hated broonz. I did not realize the Habs had not won against them in 10 straight. Nice to finally rectify that. As for it being 4 years well, Covid restrictions factor into that as well.
I missed the first period, we were watching 'All the Light You Cannot See' on Netflix. I didn't get to see HondaCivic destroy Ratface a la PFK (only the replay). Maybe moe can add a pic of that as well. I did see AX and Pez throw a couple nice hits though. And guess what, the beaners have no answer for those two.
Many of us, and I am guilty as well, thought that KidG (Lep) was done as an effective NHL player. Boy were we wrong. BG still has game and is back to being a crease crashing force (ask Swayman) with good hands scoring in tight. Josh Anderson sure could use a little of Lep's crease work style.
Full Monty was solid all night. Kudos to him, hope he gets his extension soon.
Finally, as moe said last night, Iron Kaiden is a stud, gem, whatever. When Hutson and Reinbacher show up along with Red, AX and HondaCivic, the Habs D will be a force. There isn't going to be room for everybody but it will be fun to watch it all get sorted out. Don't know if I will watch tonight, I'm still a little leery about the inconsistency. I stayed away from the Detroit game but couldn't pass up a Montreal Boston Saturday night, well, some of it anyway.
Hey I didn't know there was an early footbal game on today. Saint Paddy is probably watching his Pats right now. And I have to watch the Giants play in Dallas later ... Gulp!
Congrats to the Alouettes on beating another putrid CotU team. Good Luck in the Grey Cup!
I guess the loss to the Sharks was the final nail even if they won last night. GMs will keep axing coaches to make up for their own mistakes. Holland hasn't sorted the goalie situation.
Sounds like Monty is going to be extended, so I'd bet Jake's days are numbered as soon as HuGo find a partner...will it be the Oil? And what will that trade look like?
I don't think Jake is going anywhere and I doubt Holland wants an unproven goalie like Primeau. I would guess they will run with Skinner for a while and try to dig themselves out of their hole. Long way to go yet.
Good or bad I like the purity of hockey. You suck or y0u succed. You get paid and do you make that salary. If only life was as a simple and transparent as teh NHL
Not really surprised with the result. What it proves is that the team need those players like Anderson and Slafkovsky to start finishing their chances. Without that next level of scoring, they won't put enough in the net to win the majority of the time.
Ouch. Those teams are all playing well. Maybe a win tonight, otherwise...

The thing we need is a elite player, like the top five right now. Maybe in two years we sign Mc David?
DeleteI'm not going to watch any more prospect lists. They never take who I want anyway.
ReplyDeleteGonna watch some of this game..I am optimistic that they can take at least a point from this game...
ReplyDeleteThat Knife kid 20 year old second round draft pick. Slaf should eat him for lunch a year from now.
ReplyDeleteI do not expect a win tonite. Alberta needs a goalie, we got 3 lets make a deal.
Give the net to Jake Allen tonight, he plays well at home.
ReplyDeleteI retract this statement.
DeleteSTFOTB Boys. JFW!
ReplyDeleteI swear, these guys don't have a fucking clue how to start a game. We've been watching this same shit how many years now?

Hilite watcher, thats me. Why should I watch some meaningless games. I can see it all in ten min on highlights.
Deleteuh... b/c u two are both imbred die hard fans?

ReplyDeleteSuck it SFU!
