    1. I'm on it. So far, one of those nights the CH is making an ordinary goalie look invincible.

  2. Just fucking win

  3. Ha! I said mORRgan would get at least 5. Good job George P., stick it to the wretched hideous leaf.

  4. I think the last time the CH carried a 3-goal lead into the 3rd period Patrick Roy was still sporting a full beard.

  5. The last time the CH took a four-goal lead into the mid-point of the 3rd period Joe Biden knew EXACTLY who the president of Mexico was.

  6. The wretched, putrid, despicable leaf, no mitchie, pajama boy or ORReilly beat up the Blues 4 - 1 tonight. Guess the Blues should have save a few of those goals they scored Sunday for tonight. Karma sure is a bitch.

  7. The last time the CH took a five-goal lead into the last minute of a game Bob Dole was the punchline of the joke aboout Biden above.

  8. CP30 has not allowed a goal all year! Nice blanchissage, fIrst SO of both his career and of the Habs' 2023-24 season.

  9. Ducks coach putting his goon on the ice for the last shift. Classless ass.

  10. Great night for Slafzuki.
Congrats to Primeau on his first shutout. Maybe that will get teams calling for him, even if it was only 13 shots.

    That was fun. ~ moe

  12. That was a good morale healing win after a spanking the previous game that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. But, let's not get too excited. Anaheim is a very, very bad team. They only had 13 shots on goal against a defence that usually gives up 30+ a game. It will likely be a different story tomorrow night in the Big Apple. Let's enjoy the moment and a nice performance from the Habs Young Guns, including Mr. Slafkovsky, who it appears I have under estimated. However, it is still early days.

As one of moe's favourite actors likes to say: "Curb your enthusiasm."

  13. Tonight should give us more details on whether Tuesday night was for real or just the Sucks being really shit. It's all well and good praising Slaf and Zukes when they are beating up the sick kid...its how they deal with the big boys that'll tell us if they are making progress. Just fucking win

  14. Kreidered again. That was very much goaltender interference.

  17. These Rangers are too talented and in mid-season form. Not the Ducks

  18. 7-3 with 10 min. to play. Why not put Allen in? Seriously not happy with this side of MSL as a coach.

  19. Whiskey! Only down by ...er, three. 8:32 to go.

    Well
At least we can see how Gortons rebuild looks first hand
    That’s encouraging anyway
But we’re clearly not there yet
    Go Habs

  21. That was a good first 30 minutes of hockey. Lacking the depth & skill to play a complete game against the good teams.

We got another leafer doing colour on TSN since Poulin sadly left, but so far he's been OK. Hate to admit it but Frankie made a great comparison for Slaf being the same size and type of player as that guy we hate on the NYR who may or may not have scored a hattrick last night. I think it's a good compare and Slaf ultimately has a higher offensive ceiling considering what he's starting to do at 19, assuming he continues on a positive upward trajectory. The other guy only scored more than 54 points once, 2 years ago when he had that 52 goal season at age 30.

I too have to admit I was vocal in saying Slaf needed a year or two in Laval. I was wrong, the kid's improving on all facets of his game.

  22. R.i.P. Alexei Navalny, 47, and too dangerous to Putin to be allowed to live, even in a Russian prison. Too stubbornly patriotic to remain in exile, he paid the ultimate price. A very brave man.

  23. Just another routine beating, nothing to see here,

Nashville gave up 9, Edmonton 6, it happens. Boston lost to the Krakheads and the west coast Tankers beat up on Ottawa and Calgary. Like Torts said : it's a dumb league...

  24. One spin on the ol' Tankathon wheel this morning got the 1st pick. Woo Hoo!!!

  25. Perfect loss.

  27. Went to the Sea Dogs game last night, moe's Gatineau Olympiques won 5-4 in OT.

Got home late, put on the Habs game (recorded) and burned through it on fast forward, much better to watch as I didn't have to listen to any of gawley's crap. Too bad Jake couldn't make a timely save, Montreal could have snuck this one out but, alas, wasn't meant to be.

The first line is looking good, the PP with Hook on it is looking better as well. They need some help though. AX played a pretty good game, scored with a howitzer shot and hammered a couple of Caps as well. Please keep him in the lineup, the Habs player a much better game.

To my limited knowledge only BBQ and Ax have put a slapper thru the net he’s a keeper
I’m not a scout so I’m struggling to understand Harris
I’m seeing him as a trade sweetener or not
There is talk of keeping wrong savard another year to help the young D
I don’t see that as a problem he’s solid and good in the room
We’re not going anywhere soon anyway
We’re still building and with 2 first rounders in 2024 and 2025 we can hopefully end up with some offence in the meantime as Steve said let’s have more perfect losses
    Go Habs

Harris is like a super Mete, but not a fox. He is a solid six. However we have a hundred six at the moment. We need a place for Rock Hudon. So we can only have one smurf on the top six d men when we win the cup. I think the red barron will also be shot down in Montreal

  30. I don't think Hughes is trading any of his vets who are under contract for another year. The only UFA is Tanner so he will probably get moved at some point. And he won't jettison Jake to some backwater buttman franchise just to get rid of him either.

  31. We've got 27 more games to critique. As the season wind down, we will probably get to watch some newcomers, like steve said, Rock Hutson (I like it), Popcorn, Logan, and others.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @CHester, I'm pretty sure I remember one time Big Bird putting one through the net at MSG. I'll have to Google that.

  33. Jagr looks like he can still play. One of my biggest Bergy regrets is when it appeared Jagr wanted to play with his buddy TurtlePlek and MB said no thanks. He was 40 or 41 at the time I think.

Pretty funny guy too, saying has girlfriend is too young to remember his time with the Pens but he's told her (bedtime) stories. I've added bedtime for extra comedic emphasis. He's 52. She is 29.
