I loved Oppenheimer but I'm biased towards historical shows anyway. It is a long haul, I split it in half, did 1.5 each night. Great acting all around as proven by all the awards it's received. It should clean up at the Oscars.

God I hate those Nashville unis. Looks like a troio of mustard salesmen, or mascots or something. Lester's smoked meat, on Bernard, West in Outremont. Yeah
Is it too much to ask the Habs to win their next 36 games? 20 in the regular season to grab a wild card and then sweep the playoffs. I think the best route through the playoffs for me would be Rangers/Canes/Bruins or leaf/Jets.
Gord Miller 🌻🇺🇦 @GMillerTSN · 10h I suspended this account in November but I’m coming back tonight to apologize to Montreal fans for miscalling the Nick Suzuki OT winner. 🇨🇦 moeman ♥️ irie mon ✌🏻 give a fuck 🇺🇦 @moeman61 Good on you Gord.
Ok thanks man. I finally had a chance to see the replay and heard Gord call him Ryan Suzuki. Good on Gord to make it right. The clowns at leafnet would never do that.
I didn't even notice the mistake...I tend to tune out the pxp guys I guess. But love him or hate him, Gord Miller is 1000x better than anybody on leafnet. 2 more years left of that Rogers deal...
Did the Tankathon spin just now got #1 on the first try. Doesn't matter where the Habs finish (likely 6-7 from bottom) they are winning the lottery just to f__k with gary's head. I feel it in my bones!
I like these CHaracter and morale building wins more than draft position odds. I think Nature was on a mission to redeem himself for that gaffe on the PP in Tampa. He wired that winner!
All the big names falling off the 'trade bait' board. Whatever are all the talking heads going to talk about on Friday when there is nothing left but 4th liners and 7-8 Dmen? At least they get free pizza?
I see Toffoli's name on the 'experts' lists. I still wish Hughes hadn't traded him. It was very early in his tenure and I guess he wanted to show what he could do. But Toffee is that secondary scoring we are so sorely lacking. Looking at the players we got for him, I doubt if Assman (Heineman) will ever be a regular NHL player, Mesar is doing well in junior but remains to be seen if he will be a solid 2nd/3rd line player, and the goalie they grabbed last year...well he's the interesting Russian prospect putting up amazing numbers but I don't know about the quality of competition in the Russian junior league. He has a 22-4-4 record, 1.57GAA and 0.938 save% (considering we have Fowler at Boston U too, Monty's 3 year contract might be just the right length until these guys are ready).
I agree, the return for Toffee was underwhelming. Heineman is a 4th liner, Mesar probably trade bait, who knows about a Russian goalie, meanwhile Tyler kept doing what he does best, score goals.
We can see the focus of Hugo has been on defence pretty much since the get go which in hockey also includes goalies. We presently have three on our roster a couple in laval and three that we just picked. From that bunch we should get a couple of keepers and like Saint Paddy says with Monty's contract expiring in three years the timing looks good. I can understand Hugo keeping his powder dry when in comes to Chewie. I don't think Henrique was worth a first rounder ( he is 34) and I don't think that the Snores got value back for Tarestinko. You can smell the desperation out there. It's interesting being on the outside looking in. Our time will come. I am just a little itchy for Hugo to turn their focus on the offence. If they do as good a job with that as they did with the defence we should be sitting pretty for some time to come. Nuf said Go Habs
Even though it was an off-season move, this time of year always reminds me of one of my top five moments in Habs history. And that is Josh Gorges saying F U to the wretched leaf. That will be 10 years ago on June 30th. I think it should be a national holiday, stretch Canada Day to a two day affair. June 30th is Futronna Day! Anyway I got looking back at those reports and it's a good reminder of a couple of things: a) maybe the cupboard isn't as stocked as we think/hope and b) remember the 'experts' really have no more idea than we do until a trade is actually made.
Gorges had one goal and 13 assists in 66 games last season.
The Canadiens have several young, lower-paid defencemen believed to be ready for the NHL, including Nathan Beaulieu, Jarred Tinordi, Greg Pateryn and even Magnus Nygren, who fled the AHL Bulldogs last season to return to Sweden.
The move fed speculation that the Canadiens are seeking to free up money in an attempt to sign unrestricted free agent Dan Boyle, a 37-year-old right-shooting defenceman who notched 32 points in 75 games last season for the San Jose Sharks.
I will always love Josh Gorges for taking a dump on the wretched leaf, unlike Komisarek who sold his soul to the devil and soon realized there was no Vodkov in tranna to cover up for him.
They threw the kitchen sink at Komasoreick sadly Then I forget who slapped him around and he reverted back to what he really was which was not much then off to the armpit Funny how things can change in an instant Go Habs
Tomorrow morning I am going to the Sacre-Coeur hospital for a stent to be inserted for a blockage in my anterior coronary artery. It's a pretty routine procedure but a the same, I don't want to see no tanking tonight. JFW, boys! GYFHG!
I really despise the Carolina franchise, from their cheapskate owner and bootlicking GM to their classless social media trolls, the whole organization is just a stinking pile of shite that deserves nothing but bad vibes. My disgust goes back 20 years when the eye-stabber williams took out Saku's eye and screwed Montreal out of a possible Cup win. Bunch of dirty, effin dirtbags.
That 2nd JR goal should have counted, but to his credit Freddie played it well and leaned into Newhook as he was skating by before his big flop. Though it was obvious, there was no way Marty would have won that challenge.
I think our young Slovak is running out of steam. His defensive game has been atrocious the past few games. His 63rd game last night. He's never played more than 49 games, his last season with Turku including playoffs.
But he turns 20 at the end of this month. He should be working on strength and endurance in the off season and could be a monster next season. I admit to being very skeptical of the pick at the time, but he may be just the top pick of that draft. Time will tell.
Toffee off to the 'Peg, he will help them. Bruiser Patrick Maroon to the beaners he will help make life miserable for the wretched leaf. Probably arsehole jack edwards too.
Jake Allen, fellow New Brunswicker, thanks for being a good teammate and helping mentor Monty and Prime. Good luck in NJ but not next year. Hughes will only have one open spot for salary retention next season as they will still be paying the Snake and Dish. Agreed on the return, didn't think it would be that high. Hughes has more draft picks next year than Kelloggs has rice krispies !
Hey kidz! Miss me? :) I am not dead. I hope all is well with everyone.
I do like to check in on important days, and trade deadline day is important! Not as important as the sick fucks in Toronto think it is, but still.
Thanks Jake from State Farm, good luck in NJ. A good soldier throughout his tenure, never complained and never really was terrible. Did all you can ask imho.
Jake let in the odd stinker but look what he had playing in front of him. The #1 D is a riverboat gambler and the rest, other than Chewie, still interns learning on the job. Jake did OK for never being able to get in a rhythm.
@29, I picked up a bottle of Angel's Envy bourbon a week ago. It was on sale so I couldn't pass it up. Really nice stuff.
I'm happy to see Chewie and Rawhide remain, you need to insulate your young guys otherwise you just keep spinning your wheels like Ottawa and Buffalo. I don't mind keeping players around like Lep, Powder Horse, Rawhide and even 7evans who is now a grizzled vet. Let the youngsters percolate in Laval for a while it won't hurt them a bit.
I was thinking about how the line of Powerhorse, 7vens and Lep were all on the 2019 Cup run together. 7vens so far is my pick for the Beauchamp trophy this season.
Fun to hear the sfu whine that Vegas is 'cheating'. Here's a mirror.
Also, they (sfu) are besides themselves with negative thoughts about the once 'genial' and 'mercurial' (amongst other superlative adjectives) leaf (now Pens) GM.
To HuGo, stay the course but keep an eye on Sid, who grew up a Habs kid.
Yes indeed, didn't the leaf invent 'Robidas Island'? Plus, they kept Reeves on LTIR way past his time until he blabbed about it to the SFU.
I think the genial and mercurial Boy genius in Pittsburgh has sunk that organization with his puzzling acquisition of another 30 something player in Erik Karlsson. They are on the cusp of a rebuild whether they like it or not. Take a look around Sid, you definitely have options. Actually, Sid might be the guy Rejean Tremblay was blathering about for Jeff Gorton to go get this summer like he did with Panarin.
I made it through heart surgery and back home safe and sound. Parts of my heart probably ain't seen much oxygenated blood for years and I'm under orders to rest, but feel energized and angina-free.
Good news SIM nice There is a pic of Lane Hutson on the inside out web site he looks literally 12 years old …maybe He may be a phenom in college but he doesn’t look ready at all for the AHL never mind The Show Course CHester is old and half my doctors look like they just got out of high school I didn’t know you could study dentistry in high school Oh well hope I’m wrong It wouldn’t be the first time Go Habs
I'm pretty sure young Lane will get his 2 games with the Habs at the end of the year but he will be heavily sheltered on the 3rd pair. He and Popcorn will start in Laval next year. The Habs D next season should look like this:
Iron Kaiden MnM Chewie AXman Baron Von C Strobe Logan Harris
Although I expect a couple of D to be traded for a sniper or two.
Lots of talk about moving tweed Not so much anybody else Chewie will be gone next trade deadline and I personally think majik mike will stay in the organization like Lord Baron he is most pleased to be home Barron von D is spending a lot of time in the AHL doesn’t bode well I’m thinking not with Logan, Rachibacher and Hutson knocking on the door What a splendid problem Go Habs
What's the over/under on how many times chris butthurt will say 'auston matthews' tonight? I say over 60. And watch, if the Habs score a goal, the camera will pan to narcos ugly puss on the bench. leafnet can't get enough of that guy.
I stopped counting the 'matthews' after the 3rd goal but I had 16 in the 3rd up to that point, with 22 in the 2nd and 12 in the 1st (I probably missed a few there so I would say they were averaging 20 times per period. Sounds about right, I think I took the over at 60.
A fellow New Brunswicker over at EOTP has proposed a deal and some some sound reasons for Syd to make the transition from the sinking ship in Pittsburgh to the on the rise Montreal Canadiens. I think he offered way too much and I don't think Dubas will trade Syd anyway, upper management wouldn't allow it and Kyle would probably be lynched. No, I think Syd will play out the last year of his contract in Pitt and then sit down with his agent to figure out what he should do. Unless he has already decided to sign an extension which he can do after July 1st. It will be an interesting tale to follow for sure.
As for the upcoming 2024 Draft, I like either Berkly Catton or Tij Iginla for the Habs at #7, unless they win the lottery for Celebrini.
I don’t think we should be holding our breath waiting for Sid to come to the light Dumbass will not let his super star leave that’s not how he rolls On a new subject I have been reading about our girl Margot You won’t find and scantily clad pics of her she is private and stays out of the limelight I was impressed with the work she puts in to prep for a role Hard working smart and very good looking Sadly she is a rangers fan Sigh Oh well On to April and to see what our moeman comes up with Go Habs

ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Keep it close boys!
ReplyDeleteOther than my Anna I couldn’t think of someone more deserving of another month than Ms Robbie
ReplyDeleteI’m wondering if Hugo will be pulling the trigger on savard
Although we have exciting prospects in the D pipeline we still see game after game of not exactly defensive dominance
I’m guessing Hugo is asking for the moon for Chewie cause that’s what it would take to pry him loose
Also I read an amusing article musing about trading Majik Mike
That’s not happening
Anyway that spanking the leaf was given by the beaners last game was hilarious
The beaners are so in the heads of the leaf
The leaf will never beat them in the playoffs and everyone down the 401 knows it
Go Habs
The top 4 leaf are mostly gutless. The defence is laughable. The goaltending is questionable. They are going nowhere in the playoffs.
DeleteI know we won’t be in the post season so I’ll be watching the leaf crash and burn hopefully at the hands of the beaners
DeleteOh happy days

DeleteMight see the Sheriff laying down the law tonight.
Great news SiM.
ReplyDeleteNice to have a medical pro in the house !
Live long !
G Y F H G !
Good news SIM nice
ReplyDeleteThere is a pic of Lane Hutson on the inside out web site he looks literally 12 years old …maybe
He may be a phenom in college but he doesn’t look ready at all for the AHL never mind The Show
Course CHester is old and half my doctors look like they just got out of high school
I didn’t know you could study dentistry in high school
Oh well hope I’m wrong
It wouldn’t be the first time
Go Habs
I'm pretty sure young Lane will get his 2 games with the Habs at the end of the year but he will be heavily sheltered on the 3rd pair. He and Popcorn will start in Laval next year. The Habs D next season should look like this:
ReplyDeleteIron Kaiden MnM
Chewie AXman
Baron Von C Strobe
Logan Harris
Although I expect a couple of D to be traded for a sniper or two.
Lots of talk about moving tweed
ReplyDeleteNot so much anybody else
Chewie will be gone next trade deadline and I personally think majik mike will stay in the organization like Lord Baron he is most pleased to be home
Barron von D is spending a lot of time in the AHL doesn’t bode well I’m thinking not with Logan, Rachibacher and Hutson knocking on the door
What a splendid problem
Go Habs
What's the over/under on how many times chris butthurt will say 'auston matthews' tonight? I say over 60. And watch, if the Habs score a goal, the camera will pan to narcos ugly puss on the bench. leafnet can't get enough of that guy.
ReplyDeleteI'm honestly starting to think Nature is earning some grudging respect from the COTUdiots
DeleteJust beat the wretched leaf and fuck the SFU.
ReplyDeleteGYFHG!
Woohoo!!!!
ReplyDeleteMathisfun!
Maths!
ReplyDeleteMaths is easy!
ReplyDeleteLyabushkin should be called Liability... heh heh
ReplyDeleteI counted about a dozen 'matthews' in that period.
ReplyDeleteZero here (audio muted, heh)
DeleteI fucking despise the leaf...
ReplyDeleteFull Tank Monty tonight two shitty goals.
ReplyDeleteI counted 22 'matthews' that period, I obviously missed a few in the first.
ReplyDeleteBit of a sloppy period and Monty needs to have stopped that 2nd goal
ReplyDeleteSecond periods have been a problem all season. Needs to be fixed going forward.
DeleteThe f__cking refs give the wretched leaf a 5 on 3 to start?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to change the damn channel
TJ!
ReplyDeleteTJ!
ReplyDeleteHOOK!
ReplyDeleteUgh. That's on Monty.

ReplyDeleteFuckin refs. Brodie breaks Army's stick and no call?? Such BS
ReplyDeleteClose but no cigar for narcos in those last 10 seconds.
ReplyDeleteDecent game, another loss by 1 goal, so many of those.
Very disappointing result. I hate those f__ckers.
ReplyDeleteI stopped counting the 'matthews' after the 3rd goal but I had 16 in the 3rd up to that point, with 22 in the 2nd and 12 in the 1st (I probably missed a few there so I would say they were averaging 20 times per period. Sounds about right, I think I took the over at 60.
ReplyDeleteA fellow New Brunswicker over at EOTP has proposed a deal and some some sound reasons for Syd to make the transition from the sinking ship in Pittsburgh to the on the rise Montreal Canadiens.
ReplyDeleteAs for the upcoming 2024 Draft, I like either Berkly Catton or Tij Iginla for the Habs at #7, unless they win the lottery for Celebrini.
I don’t think we should be holding our breath waiting for Sid to come to the light
ReplyDeleteDumbass will not let his super star leave that’s not how he rolls
On a new subject I have been reading about our girl Margot
You won’t find and scantily clad pics of her she is private and stays out of the limelight
I was impressed with the work she puts in to prep for a role
Hard working smart and very good looking
Sadly she is a rangers fan
Sigh
Oh well
On to April and to see what our moeman comes up with
Go Habs
